User Account

User Accounts & Authorization

To participate in trading on Odealo, you need to register a User Account. Registration is free for Buyers and Sellers.

As a Guest, you can browse offers and read articles, but placing orders, posting listings, or withdrawing funds requires an account.

User Profile & Avatar

Key account information is displayed on user avatars throughout the website, including:

  • Profile picture or logotype
  • Account level (reflecting overall activity and experience)
  • Authorization level
  • Availability status (Online / Offline / Shop Closed)
  • Primary activity indicator (Buyer or Seller)

Additional details such as feedback history, ratings, completed transactions and badges are available on each user’s profile page.

Authorization Levels

Odealo uses a multi-level Authorization system to enhance platform security and comply with financial regulations. Higher Authorization levels unlock additional account features and may significantly affect deposit flexibility, withdrawal eligibility, and transaction verification times.

Level 1 – Email Confirmation

Activated automatically after confirming your email address during registration.

Level 2 – Phone Verification

Completed by verifying your phone number via SMS code.

Level 3 – Identity Verification

Requires submission of government-issued identification documents. This level is typically required for withdrawals and higher-value transactions.

Level 4 – Payment Method Verification

May involve verification of ownership of the payment method used on the platform.

Level 5 – Extended Verification

Granted individually based on long-term account history and platform activity.

Authorization levels are designed to protect both Buyers and Sellers. As your verification level increases, payment approvals may be processed more smoothly and spending capabilities may expand.

Verification requirements may vary depending on transaction value, account history, risk assessment, and regulatory obligations, in accordance with Odealo’s Terms of Service.

The authorization process can be completed via the Authorization section of your account dashboard. Some levels are automatic, while higher levels require manual review by Odealo staff.

All personal data submitted for verification is handled securely and in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including GDPR.
