Payments & Transaction Fees

Learn how payments, credit reservation, and transaction fees work on Odealo.

How Payments Work

All transactions on Odealo are settled using Credits as the internal means of exchange.

When a Buyer places an order, the required amount of Credits is temporarily reserved on their account for the duration of the transaction. This guarantees the Seller that funds are secured before delivery.

Once the Buyer confirms delivery, the transaction is finalized and the Credits are automatically transferred to the Seller.

Transaction Fees

A transaction fee is deducted only after a successful transaction is completed.

The fee is automatically calculated and deducted from the Seller’s proceeds before the funds are credited to their balance.

Canceled Transactions

No fees are charged for canceled transactions.

If a transaction is canceled, all blocked Credits are fully refunded to the Buyer’s balance.

Excessive or abusive use of the cancellation feature may result in account review.

Delivery Confirmation & Disputes

If the Seller confirms shipment and the Buyer does not take action, the system will automatically complete the transaction after the designated waiting period.

In the event of a dispute, both parties may be asked to provide supporting evidence (such as screenshots, chat logs, or delivery proof) for review.

Once a Buyer confirms delivery, the transaction is considered final. Refunds after confirmation are generally not possible unless a clear violation of the Terms of Service is identified.
