Build Overview
Druid's Elemental Skill tree offers two self-contained paths to choose from; Fire and Wind. While Fire has a very high damage potential, Wind is by far the more universal of the two because it's capable of dealing two types of damage (Cold and Physical). Thanks to this property, Wind Druid can Magic Find everywhere in the game if you provide it with enough survivability, which is usually done by investing points into Oak Sage and Grizzly.
Below, we present you with our take on the Magic Finding Wind Druid build. While it's not the fastest, it more than makes up for it with its versatility. It can simply ignore enemy immunities as Tornado deals Physical Damage and Cyclone provides Cold Damage. Moreover, it is one of the most durable Magic Finding builds out there, thanks to a tanky Grizzly summon, elemental-absorbing Cyclone Armor, and the Oak Sage that gives it a massive Health boost. If you're looking for a build that can do pretty much anything, you'll love this one.

ATTRIBUTES |
ELEMENTAL SKILLS |
This is the core Skill Tree of this Build. From it, you're going to get Cyclone Armor - a nice defensive skill, Hurricane - a powerful AoE skill, Twister - a solid synergy for the build, and the mighty Tornado - your main source of single-target damage. All four of the above-mentioned wind-based Druid Skills synergize with each other, making Wind Druidvery powerful at what it does. Skills:
SUMMONING SKILLS |
This Skill Tree is a great source of utility and you should take full advantage of that. You should take two skills from it: Grizzly and Oak Sage. The first is going to serve as your loyal companion and guardian, and the latter will help you stay alive by greatly increasing your Life total. Skills:

SHAPE SHIFTING AURAS |
This build does not utilize any Shape Shifting Skills. Skills:

Items
Faster Cast Rate is a must-have for Wind Druid and you should get enough of it to reach the 99% FCR Breakpoint. +Skills are also extremely important as they will greatly increase your Damage output (pretty much every Skill you're using benefits from +Skills a lot). Magic Find is another stat you should stack as this is a Magic Finding build after all. Extra Health and Vitality is always welcome as well, as it makes you a bit tankier, but you have Oak Sage to take care of that already. Faster Hit Recovery, Faster Run/Walk, and extra Stamina/Stamina Regen are also very useful to have. | |
HELMETS |
Harlequin Crest (Shako) - This recommendation shouldn't surprise anyone. Shako is simply amazing and if you're after Magic Find and Skill Levels, there's no better alternative. |
WEAPONS |
Heart of the Oak (Runeword) - One of the most powerful weapon Runewords and an ideal choice for a Wind Druid build. it provides +3 to all Skills and a 30% Faster Cast Rate, as well as a plethora of other useful bonuses. You can't go wrong with this one. |
Spirit Sword (Runeword) - Don't be fooled by this Runeword's low level requirement. It's actually an amazing budget alternative to the Heart of the Oak. It not only gives you two things you're looking for the most - +Skills and Faster Cast Rate, but also gives you quite a lot of health and mana. |
SHIELDS | |
Spirit Shield (Runeword) - Spirit Shield is not only strong in your weapon, but it is also amazing in your shield! It gives you a lot of Resistances, +1 to All Skills, a lot of mana, vitality, and a high bonus to Faster Cast Rate. You will need a 4 open socket Monarch for it. |
Splendor (Runeword) - This nice and inexpensive Magic Finding Shield Runeword will boost your offensive power by giving you +1 to all skills, increase your FCR by 10%, and make you a bit better at Magic Finding by giving you +20% MF. |
Rhyme (Runeword) - If you'd like to have the "Cannot be Frozen" affix, this shield might come in handy. It also gives you a lot of Faster Block Rate and extra Block Chance which are great for survivability. Moreover, it boosts Magic Find and Mana Regeneration. |
WEAPON SWAP | |
Call to Arms (Rune Word) - You should use this Runeword on Weapon Swap to pre-buff yourself with Warcries. To maximize the effect of these buffs, you should combine CoA with a shield that gives +2 Skills. |
AMULETS |
A Magic/Rare Amulet with + Magic Find Affixes - Magic Amulets can have up to 50% MF and Rares can roll up to 35%. If you can afford one of these, go for it. If not, get a nice offensive amulet or try to craft one yourself.
Mara's Kaleidoscope - This amulet is hard to pass up in a build that benefits a lot from the skill increase and would not look down on some extra Resistances. |
ARMORS |
Enigma (Runeword) - This amazing Runeword is a must-have for the build as without it Wind Druid will severely lack mobility. Moreover, it will increase your Skills and provide you with a scaling boost to Magic Find, so win-win. |
Skin of the Vipermagi (Serpentskin Armor) - If you can't afford an Enigma, this armor might serve as a decent substitute (just keep in mind that your mobility and MF will suffer greatly). It will take care of some of this build's basic needs - Skills, FCR, and Resistances. |
Wealth (Runeword) - If you really want to run this build on a budget, Wealth might be a decent option that will let you farm for an Enigma quicker. It's also nice if you like gambling as 300% extra gold is quite a lot. |
RINGS |
Nagelring - These relatively easy-to-farm Rings (the best place to get a 30% MF Nagelring is Nightmare Andariel) are a solid choice if you're after some extra Magic Find. Stacking two of these Rings can give you up to 60% extra MF. |
The Stone of Jordan - This powerful ring not only boosts your Damage by increasing your skill levels but also increases your mana pool. If you want more DPS, you should equip two of these. |
FCR-Magic Find Rare Ring - Rare Rings can potentially give you a great mix of much-needed stats. Finding one that provides +10 Faster Cast Rate, some Magic Find, and Resistances is going to make a big difference. |
GLOVES |
Chance Guards (Chain Gloves) - These gloves are the best choice for Magic Finding, as they offer up to a 40% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items. As for their other bonuses, there's not much to speak of with the exception of a nice gold drop boost. |
Magefist (Light Gauntlets) - If you plan on achieving the 99% FCR breakpoint with this build, but struggle to do so, these gloves might help. Also, they're great for making sure you'll never run out of mana. |
BOOTS |
War Traveler (Battle Boots) - These boots are a staple of most Magic Finding builds as there's no real alternative. From them, you'll get up to 50% MF, unlimited running (thanks to slower stamina drain), and 25% Faster Run/Walk. |
Sandstorm Trek (Scarabshell Boots) - These boots are going to significantly increase your survivability. Attributes provided by them are of more value to this Druid than to other characters because of the Oak Sage. Moreover, they take care of your Poison Resistance needs on their own pretty much. |
BELTS |
Arachnid Mesh (Spiderweb Sash) - This amazing belt will give you two extremely important things: + Skills and Faster Cast Rate (the latter is extremely important as it's going to allow you to reach the FCR Breakpoint much easier). Other belt choices are not even close when it comes to the value they provide. |

CHARMS |

MERCENARY |

We recommend picking up Act 2 Might Mercenary for extra damage bonuses. He should be equipped with:
