Build Overview
Barbarian builds tend to rely on raw power, high health values, and snowballing melee damage. Because of this, they all play out very similarly and don't offer too much variety. However, there's a hidden gem among Barbarian builds. A gem that is able to defeat enemies by... shouting at them. Yes, a War Singer Barbarian can literally heckle his enemies to death, which makes it one of the most unique and fun-to-play Diablo 2 Resurrected builds. Moreover, it works extremely well as a Magic-Finding character.
Thanks to the power of Warcries, the featured Barbarian Build offers an amazing combination of survivability, solid AoE damage, and Crowd Control - Battle Orders ensure that we have tons of Health, and War Cry stuns and damages all monsters in range. As a result, we are able to stun-lock almost all enemies (except Bosses and some uniques) and shout at them until they die, while not worrying too much about our own safety. Because of this, we can focus on Magic Finding gear without compromising the build's staying power or damage output by too much.

Pros | Cons |
Good Mobility | Mobility without Enigma isn't that good, actually |
Great Utility with Warcries | Sacrifices some offensive power to gain extra Magic Find |
Very High Survivability | Clear-speeds are below average |
One of the best builds for Magic Finding |
Skills
ATTRIBUTES |
WARCRIES |
From here, we'll get the signature skills of this "War Singer" build - Warcries. Skills:
COMBAT MASTERIES |
This Skill Tree contains some great passives - we are going to take advantage of the "utility" ones, as weapon masteries are of not much use to us. Skills:
COMBAT SKILLS |
We're only interested in two Combat Skills. Mainly, Leap and Leap Attack, as they can provide a nice boost to our overall mobility. These are going to serve us well until we get an Enigma. Skills:
Items
With this build, you should focus your gear around two things - extra Magic Find that is going to make farming much more efficient, and +Skills which are going to help with clear speeds. Also, reaching 105% FCR Breakpoint is recommended for Enigma. Moreover, defensive stats, like Resistances and Faster Hit Recovery are quite welcome as well. Extra Health and Vitality will come in handy too, as they synergize with Battle Orders very well. Faster Run/Walk and extra Stamina/Stamina Regen are also very useful to have as they will boost your overall mobility. |
HELMETS |
Griswold's Valor (Corona) - When it comes to Magic Find, this is the all-in option. It gives you up to 30 MF and 2 sockets that can be fitted with Ist Runes or Perfect Topazes, or a combination of the two, for up to 70% total MF! |
Harlequin Crest (Shako) - If you want some extra Magic Find, Shako has got you covered. It won't give you as much power as some other Helmets, instead, it will give you a 50% higher Magic Find. |
WEAPONS |
Heart of the Oak (Runeword) - This Runeword is a perfect choice for the build. It gives you +3 to All Skills, a lot of Resistances, Mana Leech, Faster Cast Rate (which is great for Enigma), and a plethora of other useful bonuses. Dual-wielding Hearts of the Oak is a real option for this build as well. |
Blade of Ali Baba (Tulwar) - When socketed with two Ist Runes, this Sword gives you up to 99% Magic Find, which is great. Sadly, it lacks offensive power. |
A 6-Socketed Weapon - If you really want to go all-in, you can take a Weapon with 6 open sockets and put 6 Ist Runes into it. Doing so would result in a Weapon boasting 180% Magic Find, but nothing else. |
SHIELDS | |
Spirit Shield (Runeword) - This Runeword offers a great balance of offensive and defensive power. From it, you're going to get +2 to all Skills, a solid boost to Mana (which is very welcome as War Cry costs a lot of it), 55% Faster Hit Recovery - massive, and quite a few Resistances. |
Splendor (Rune Word) - A great and inexpensive Magic Finding Shield Runeword. It's going to give you +1 to all Skills, a nice mana regen, 20% MF, and a 20% Faster Block Rate. If you're on a budget, this might be a good choice. |
WEAPON SWAP | |
Magic Weapons with +3 to Warcries - As Call to Arms does not work on a Barbarian, dual-wielding Rare Weapons with bonuses to Warcries is the best way to strengthen your pre-buffing ability. A Rare Weapon with +2 to Barbarian Skills could work as well, but it won't be as effective. You should have two of these on weapon swap for the best effect. |
AMULETS |
Mara's Kaleidoscope - This amazing Amulet provides a great combination of offensive (+2 to all skills) and defensive (+20-30 to all resistances) properties. |
A Magic/Rare Amulet with + Magic Find Affixes - Magic Amulets can have up to 50% MF while Rares can roll up to 35%. These are quite hard to get and will cost a small fortune, mind you.
ARMORS |
Enigma (Runeword) - This amazing Armor is literally perfect for this build. It's not only going to boost your Magic Find and Skills, but also take your mobility to a completely new level. Without it, a War Singer Barbarian is a mere shadow of itself. |
Skullder's Ire (Russet Armor) - This Unique armor is going to give you quite a lot of defense, some offensive utility with +1 to All Skills, and up to 125% Magic Find. |
Wealth (Runeword) - An interesting budget choice that's going to pay for itself very quickly. Sadly, all it does is boost your MF and Gold drops. |
RINGS |
A Magic Ring with MF Affixes - Rings like this can have up to 50% MF, which is Best in Slot. Their price reflects their rarity, however... |
Nagelring - If you need some extra MF, but can't afford a Magic Ring with +50 MF, this might be a good alternative. |
Raven Frost - Seeing this one in the recommendations shouldn't surprise anyone. Raven Frost provides Freeze Immunity, you need freeze immunity, thus you need Raven Frost. Simple as that. |
The Stone of Jordan - This is a great offensive choice for this build. It will not only give you +1 to All Skills but also take care of your mana problems should you have any. |
GLOVES |
Chance Guards (Chain Gloves) - These gloves offer up to 40% MF, which is the most out of all Gloves available in Diablo 2 Resurrected. |
Magefist (Light Gauntlets) - If you experience mana-related problems with this build, consider using these gloves. Also, they give +20 FCR which makes reaching the 105% breakpoint easier. |
Defense: 24 - 25 Required Strength: 45 Durability: 18 Required Level: 23
BOOTS |
War Traveler (Battle Boots) - These boots are the only Magic Finding option you have for the slot. From them, you'll get up to 50% MF, unlimited running (thanks to slower stamina drain), and 25% Faster Run/Walk. |
Sandstorm Trek (Scarabshell Boots) - Great Boots with high defensive utility. The extra FHR bonus comes in very handy when monsters manage to hit you. |
BELTS |
Goldwrap (Heavy Belt) - When it comes to Magic Finding, this belt outshines all other choices for the slot - It gives 30% MF which is the highest of all belts. |
Arachnid Mesh (Spiderweb Sash) - 30% MF is not a lot, thus, you might be better of using this belt instead of the Goldwrap. It's going to give you +1 to All Skills, 20% FCR, and a little boost to your max mana, which is nice. |
Defense: 119-138 Required Level: 80 Required Strength: 50 Durability: 12 16 Potion Boxes

CHARMS |

MERCENARY |
We recommend picking up Act 2 Might Mercenary for extra damage bonuses. He should be equipped with:
