Legacy of Phrecia Event Best Starter Build list

Legacy of Phrecia Event Best Starter Build list

Our top recommendations for the second round of the Legacy of Phrecia Event League Starter builds

The Best Starter Builds
for the Legacy of Phrecia Event League
[Patch 3.27]

The long-awaited Legacy of Phrecia Event League makes a comeback for the first time in the Keepers of Flames League. This time, it lasts for only 3 Weeks, giving you enough time to take a break before the next major League start. Considering the limited time, it is a good idea to pick a trusted Starter Build, although the unique nature of this League heavily encourages experimentation and thinking outside the box.

To keep things fresh, this league comes with several twists. Firstly, all Areas will be affected by additional Map Modifiers, with the exception of build-disabling modifiers such as Reflect. Additionally, the Campaign and Pinnacle Bosses acquired several new abilities and will become enraged upon reaching Low Life. This feature further encourages you to take a look at previously tested Builds to ensure you will have a great time in this Event and avoid unpleasant surprises.

The addition of Bloodline Ascendencies is also very impactful on this Event, although the full extent is not yet known, as Developers already announced some Balance tunings regarding this matter. It is not unlikely that we will see some last-minute changes, so a certain level of wit and knowledge can be very useful to quickly adapt to those changes.

Lastly, players will still have access to the Keepers of the Flame features, guaranteeing an easy progression thanks to the absurdly powerful Genesis Tree Crafting, which provides a very cheap and reliable supply of generally powerful Items at every stage of the Campaign.

With that in mind, we've selected the best PoE league starter builds for this Even League that are reliable, tested, and efficient. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or just diving into Path of Exile, these builds will help you breeze through the early content and establish a strong foundation for the Legacy of Phrecia.

Note: not all the builds are updated for Patch 3.27, but they all are in a state which will allow you to get started while we work on updating them

Summon Raging Spirit Servant of Arakaali

The free Envy Aura granted by Servant of Arakaali is easily the best single Notable in the game during the Campaign. It provides an absurd amount of Damage, which can be used by yourself or your Minions. The Chaos specialty is Poison, and it's surely a way to go in the endgame, but at first, you can focus on regular Hit Damage. Likewise, the desirable Unique Items, such as The Covenant or Amanamu's Gaze, will be expensive, but the Build works very well without them as well. If you dislike the active playstyle of the Raging Spirits, you can also opt for the Raised Spiders variant with barely any changes to the Build, as most Minions scale very similarly. With the addition of the Dark Monarch Helmet, you can summon up to 40 Spiders, covering the entire screen with faithful Minions that barely take any time to resummon.

Flicker Strike Wildspeaker

The Wildspeaker is another excellent Ascendency for an easy start. It requires a bit of Critical Strike investment at first, but it rewards you with a constant uptime on Spectral Wolves that provide 90 flat Physical Damage to the player, which is an insane value for the campaign, and stays relevant even at the later stages of progression. Another feature of the Wildspeaker is the free Power and Frenzy Charge generation, usually tied to a quite expensive Farrul's Fur Body Armour. This allows you to start your journey with the Flicker Strike very early, which is normally quite inconvenient. You can further emphasise that approach with Bronn's Lithe Body Armour, which is not possible for Builds that rely on said Farrul's Fur normally. If the Flicker Strike is not your style, you can also pick other valuable bonuses such as Tailwind, weaker but guaranteed Spell Suppression, or stacking Dexterity to gain Damage.

Animate Weapon Puppeteer

The Animate Weapon is a powerful but unpopular Minion Skill, usually tied to the Chains of Command Unique Armour. Its main downside is the long summoning process and low survivability of your Minions, which leads to the resummoning problem again. The Puppeteer Ascendency cuts this aspect in half by creating two copies of Animated Weapons at the same time. It also makes your Minions Aggressive, which greatly improves your Clear Speed, and you can use the cheap Trypanon Unique Weapon to make your Minion's Hits always deal Critical Strikes. The main focus of this Build is the Transfigured Animate Weapon of Ranged Arms version, which, as the name suggests, creates Ranged Weapons. You can still mix in Melee Weapons, as they do not share the overall Summon limit. This Setup is not exclusive to the Phrecia League, but it rarely feels as enjoyable to play with regular Ascendencies.

Kinetic Blast of Clustering Whisperer

The Kinetic Blast of Clustering was already one of the dominant Builds of the Keepers League, and the Whisperer Ascendency is a perfect fit for this Skill. Unlike other positions on this list, it's very likely to receive some nerfs, but unless it receives a total rework, it will still be a top choice. The Ascendency provides tons of Mana, generates Rage even for Ranged Attacks, and makes your Projectiles Fork; all of those qualities are insanely valuable for the Kinetic Blast of Clustering. Thanks to the Genesis Tree Crafting, getting a starter Gear won't be a problem. From that point, you will have extreme levels of Clear Speed, good Single-target Damage, and solid defense, so working towards expensive upgrades will be very easy. The lucrative Gear pieces for this Build will be undoubtedly expensive, which is unfortunate, but it also confirms how powerful it becomes once you acquire them. If you are not planning on farming T17 Maps on the second day of the League, it is a perfectly safe and powerful pick for you.

Fishing Rod Arc Surfcaster

The last recommendation is not suited for new players, as this Ascendency requires a Fishing Rod to shine, which can be somewhat expensive at first. However, using a pair of much cheaper Unique Singularity Weapons is perfectly fine to progress through Atlas and accumulate enough wealth to buy the Fishing Rod. Farming your own Rod can be treated as a badge of honor, but it's a very ineffective way to generate Currency compared to regular Mapping. Once you can acquire it, you will gain an immense amount of power through guaranteed Critical Strike Chance and tons of Cast Speed for all your Hits. It skyrockets your Clear Speed and Damage to absurd levels, greatly rewarding you for your patience and early struggles. You can use any Spell, although our recommendation is Arc for great Clear Speed or Lightning Conduit for the powerful Single-target capabilities.
