Build Overview
Freezing Arrow is one of our favorite Amazon Skills in Diablo 2 Resurrected. It offers very high Cold Damage, increases Attack Rating, and Freezes enemies in place. With it, you can pin multiple targets in place and finish them off at your leisure, especially if you have a high attack speed. This amazing Skill works the best if you combine it with an alternative source of damage - we prefer Exploding Arrow as it offers a nice AoE that is great for dispatching packs of enemies quickly.
The featured version of the Freezing Arrow Bowazon is a fun-to-play, versatile build, capable of clearing most of the content available in Diablo 2 Resurrected. It offers great mobility (with our proposed gear setup), high dual-elemental Damage with high physical damage component (Cold, with Fire as a backup), and amazing Crowd Control capabilities.

Pros | Cons |
Great Mobility | Mobility comes from Gear - you won't have it if you run the build on a tight budget |
Great Crowd Control with Freezing Arrow | Cold-Immune enemies can cause some problems |
High Damage Output | Rather Squishy - your mobility is your best defense with this build |

ATTRIBUTES |
BOW AND CROSSBOW SKILLS |
This is the core Skill Tree of this Build. It provides you with two extremely powerful Skills; the first of them is Freezing Arrow that lets you freeze everything that moves in place (except bosses and elites) and shatter it to pieces. And the second is Exploding Arrow that comes in handy against cold-immune enemies. Skills:

PASSIVE AND MAGIC SKILLS |
This skill tree offers great utility skills - both passive and active ones. For this build, we focus on the passive power boosts, as they supplement our Arrow Skills very well. Having said that, once you max out everything else, you might want to get the Valkyrie as well (especially if you feel like you need some extra defensive power). Skills:
JAVELIN AND SPEAR SKILLS |
This build focuses on Bows and Crossbows, so we skip this entire skill tree. Skills:

Items
For this Diablo 2 Resurrected Build, you will want to get as many Skill Levels as possible to increase its overall power level. Increases to Cold Damage are another one of your priorities - you should go out of your way to get the suggested items that offer it. Resistances are also vital, but they should never come before the offensive power. Increased Attack Speed is also extremely important as it will allow you to... well, attack faster (just remember to check your breakpoints or you might over/underinvest in it - we recommend the 75% Breakpoint). Moreover, consider investing in Mana Leech as this build can experience severe mana problems without it. Defensive stats, like faster hit recovery and life leech/life on each kill, are a nice addition but they should come naturally - don't choose gear because it has these on it. |
HELMETS |
Andariel's Visage (Demonhead) - A great helmet that offers a very high Attack Speed bonus and +2 Skills increase. Moreover, it boosts your survivability by giving you high Life Leech. Its only real downside is the negative Fire Resistance - you might need to get some additional Fire Resistance charms to counteract it.
Nightwing's Veil (Spired Helm) - A very solid offensive choice that not only buffs All Skills but also provides up to +15% Enhanced Cold Skill Damage. If you're after DPS, this is the way to go. |
WEAPONS |
Ice (Runeword) - This amazing Runeword feels like it was made specifically for this build. It boosts Cold Skill Damage by up to 30%, increases Attack Speed by 20%, reduces enemy Cold Resistance, and makes your attacks ignore Target's Defense. You can't go wrong with it and you should go out of your way to get it as you won't find anything better, ever. |
Buriza-Do Kyanon (Ballista) - One of the best Ranged Weapons in the game. This incredibly powerful Crossbow offers an extremely high Damage increase, great attack speed, 100% chance to pierce, and 35 Dexterity, but it does not increase your skills or Cold Damage. |
WEAPON SWAP | |
Call to Arms (Rune Word) - This powerful Runeword will allow you to pre-buff yourself up with Warcries (buffs persist through weapon swap). |
Lidless Wall (Grim Shield) - A very powerful Shield that grants bonuses to all skills and FCR. If you are using CTA on weapon swap to boost your stats with Warcries, it's good to equip this shield to best the effect. Note: Spirit Shield is also a viable option here but has a much higher Strength requirement |
AMULETS |
Mara's Kaleidoscope - An amazing unique amulet that will boost your resistances, attributes, and all Skill levels. A great choice for any Diablo 2 Resurrected Build. |
Highlord's Wrath - This amazing unique Amulet is actually better for this build than Mara's Kaleidoscope (thanks to its +20% Attack Speed increase). The only thing it lacks compared to Mara's is Resistances. |
The Cat's Eye - Another great offensive amulet. this one offers an interesting mix of offensive power and survivability. |
ARMORS |
Skin of the Vipermagi (Serpentskin Armor) - A rather nice budget choice that increases All Skills and boosts All Resistances quite significantly. You should be able to get this one rather cheaply. |
Enigma (Runeword) - The most powerful Chest Runeword in the game, by far. It provides everything you might want from an item, including +2 to All Skills, Teleport (!), +14 to Life after each kill, and a very nice boost to Magic Find. |
Treachery (Runeword) - A great alternative to Enigma, especially if you want to maximize your DPS and you don't mind sacrificing your mobility to do it. It will increase your attack speed by +45%, which is insane.
RINGS |
Bul-Kathos Wedding Band - A great ring for this build. It grants a bonus to all skills, Life Steal, and maximum Life - all exceptionally valuable affixes. |
Raven Frost - An amazing ring that provides Freeze Immunity which is extremely important to have on every build. Also, it adds Cold Damage which is ideal for the build. |
The Stone of Jordan - If you run out of mana too quickly, you should consider this one as it increases your max mana by a whopping 25% which scales with high Energy extremely well. Also, it gives +1 to all skills. |
GLOVES |
Dracul's Grasp (Vampirebone Gloves) - A good all-around choice that increases your attack speed and gives you some extra survivability. These also give a high strength bonus which is very convenient for choosing equipment for other gear slots.
Soul Drainer (Vambraces) - A very solid pair of gloves, ideal for increasing your overall sustainability. It offers high Mana and Life leech which should make the build much more reliable in zones with high mob density. |
BOOTS |
War Traveler (Battle Boots) - A solid overall choice that boosts your mobility and income. From War Traveler, you'll get up to 50% Magic Find, unlimited running (thanks to slower stamina drain), and 25% Faster Run/Walk. |
Waterwalk (Sharkskin Boots) - Waterwalks are an interesting choice for the build; pick them if you feel like you need some extra survivability. They also provide a solid boost to Run/Walk Speed and Stamina, which is great. |
BELTS |
Razortail (Sharkskin Belt) - This amazing belt adds Piercing Attacks, which makes it ideal for pretty much any Bowazon Build. It also provides a nice damage and defense boost. |
Goldwrap (Heavy Belt) - An interesting choice for this build; it increases Magic Find and Attack Speed, both of which come in handy. |
Arachnid Mesh (Spiderweb Sash) - A great offensive option that will maximize your damage output. It gives you +1 to all Skills, which is ideal for the build. |
CHARMS |
MERCENARY |
We recommend picking up Act 2 Defiance Mercenary for extra damage mitigation bonuses. He should be equipped with:
