As of patch 3.24, the Tornado Shot is no longer the go-to Bow Attack for Deadeyes. It's the Elemental Hit of the Spectrum. This Attack simply adds Fire, Cold, and Lightning Damage to Attacks, dealing more Elemental Damage per Elemental Ailment on the enemy. Elemental Ailments are applied on Critical Strikes with Elemental Damage, which you have a lot of on account of your weapon and other sources of added Lightning, Cold, and Fire Damage. Your Crit Chance is also high, so you won't need to look for Chance to Ignite, Chill, or Shock. It's worth noting that the game has (harder to access) alternate Elemental Ailments like Scorch, Sap, and Brittle. We recommend allocating Secrets of Suffering to apply these powerful debuffs while still being able to Shock and Chill via Skitterbots. With these 5 Ailments, you will deal 75% more Damage. This triple-elemental setup will work well with Trinity Support and Resonances for even more Damage. The only downside of Elemental Hit of the Spectrum is the inability to deal Chaos Damage, but it's not a big one.
Pick Deadeye with Far Shot, Endless Munitions, Gathering Winds, and Focal Point - the usual configuration. It results in a fast-paced character with high damage. The character also uses two Manaforged Arrow setups to get Power and Frenzy Charges, ensnare bosses, and recover a lot of Life and Mana via tons of singular Hits from Blast Rain and Storm Rain. This rapid recovery is highly valued and should not be overlooked. Its damage against bosses is also excellent even with no Ballistas - your Projectiles will return to you after hitting an enemy, exploding on contact once again. It's overall a well-rounded damage-wise build, but it's definitely on the softcore side on a survivability spectrum. It has default 75% Resistances, no Armour, and low Physical Damage Reduction making it prone to getting one-shotted. It's still good against Attacks due to the very high Evasion, and with a 100% Spell Suppression Chance it will survive most Spell Hits. This is a budget version of a build, aimed to guide you through the first week of a new league.
For patch 3.25 we had to look again at the Rare items to reasonably asses how much Maximum Life you can expect to get on each piece. We also included some additional Unique Item options. There have been no other major changes.

Use your Elemental Hit from a distance to benefit from extra Damage from Far Shot. The Attack will trigger multiple other Manaforged Bow Attacks that are helpful during boss fights and mapping alike. To move around use Blink Arrow or other similar Skill. Your Guard Spell is triggered automatically when you take enough damage. The Sniper's Mark is triggered automatically too - on Hit against tough opponents. Your auras are Grace, Skitterbots, and Precision.

Use our Ranger Leveling Guide - Classic Bow version. It's a guide on how to level up quickly with or without leveling gear.

KIlling all three Bandits for two Passive Skill Points is the best option, but you can also Help Alira for more Mana Regen, Crit Multiplier, and Elemental Resistances
Final Skill Tree:
119 Points Final Skill Tree (doesn't include Unique Jewels)
119 Points Path of Building (PoB) link
Ascendancy points:
Preferably in that order:

Minor God: Soul of Abberath: 60% less Duration of Ignite on You
[DPS] Elemental Hit of the Spectrum setup
Elemental Hit of the Spectrum - Deals Elemental Damage of all types and 15% more Damage per Elemental Ailment on an enemy. It cannot deal Chaos Damage.
Elemental Damage with Attacks Support - More Elemental Damage with Attacks. Later, after accumulating around 100% Crit Chance, replace it with Increased Critical Damage Support.
Inspiration Support - Lowers Mana Cost, increases Elemental Damage, and Critical Strike Chance.
Mirage Archer Support - Summons a Mirage Archer that uses the same setup but with less DPS.
Trinity Support - You will easily generate Resonance. It results in much more Elemental Damage and extra Elemental Penetration.
Returning Projectiles Support - Returning Projectiles Hit the enemy once again. The returning Projectile will deal area damage on contact once more. The Projectile will also deal more Damage via Far Shot. |
[DPS] Blast Rain & Storm Rain setup
Blast Rain - Fires a large number of arrows. Their role is to grant you Life and Mana on Hit via Leech and Life and Mana on Hit passive node. You can replace it with the Rain of Arrows of Saturation for even more Arrows.
Storm Rain - Their role is also to grant you Life and Mana on Hit. It's quite good against stationary targets.
Manaforged Arrows Support - Linked Bow Attacks are triggered after spending enough Mana on other Bow Attacks.
Lifetap Support - Linked Skills cost Life instead of Mana.
Concentrated Effect Support - Concentrated Effect causes you to land more arrows on a single enemy, which is needed during boss fights. |
[DPS] Blast Rain & Storm Rain setup
Manaforged Arrows Support
Frenzy of Onslaught - Consumes Frenzy Charges and grants Onslaught for one second per Charge consumed. You can use regular Frenzy if you're using a Silver Flask.
Power Charge on Critical Support - Has a Chance to grant you a Power Charge on Critical Strike.
Ensnaring Arrow - Ensnares the enemy up to three times. Such an enemy takes increased Projectile Damage and has less Movement Speed. |
[UTILITY] Sniper's Mark setup
Mark on Hit Support - Linked Mark is applied automatically on Attack Hit against Rare and Unique enemies.
Sniper's Mark - Marked enemy receives increased Projectile Damage. Projectiles colliding with them split on impact. |
[UTILITY] various gems
Blood Rage - Drains your Life, increases your Attack Speed, Life Leech, and has a chance to grant you a Frenzy Charge on Kill.
Summon Skitterbots - Skitterbots Chill and Shock, which you would normally do without Secrets of Suffering. These two extra Elemental Ailments on an enemy will result in more Damage with Elemental Hit. If you don't have Secrets of Suffering allocated yet, use Herald of Ice instead.
Vaal Haste - Vaal Haste is a temporary Aura for increased Attack and Movement Speed.
Grace - Adds more and Increases Evasion Rating. |
[UTILITY] Precision | |
Precision - Use it to increase your Critical Strike Chance and for additional Accuracy Rating. It should be obtained from the Hyrri's Truth. |
[UTILITY] Blink Arrow | |
Blink Arrow - It's a basic mobility Skill that can be replaced with Dash or Frostblink if you prefer them. |
[UTILITY] Immortal Call setup
Immortal Call - A guard Spell that causes you to take less Physical and Elemental Damage for a second.
Cast when Damage Taken - Immortal Call is triggered after taking a certain amount of damage. |
|
It's a fast-paced glass-canon build whose goal is not to be durable, but you still need capped Resistances, around 4k of Maximum Life, tons of Evasion, and 100% Spell Suppression Chance to have a good chance of survival on a regular T16 map. You should prioritize Movement Speed and damage, it's a build for fast mapping. Damage is sourced from added Elemental Damage of all types and Critical Strike Chance/Multiplier. You will need to look for Strength and Intelligence for your Gems. Reservation shouldn't be needed, but you can get some on your Rare Helmet if you can't sustain the Mana Cost. It's possible to use only Rare Items, but Hyrri's Truth and The Taming seems too good to not use them.
Our recommended items will:
Stat priorities on items:
|
(Helmet) Devoto's Devotion - It has a lot of Movement Speed, Attack Speed, and even some Chaos Resistance with Dexterity. It has no Maximum Life or Elemental Resistances making it viable only for players that don't mind dying a lot.

|
(Helmet) The Fledgling - Since 3.25 Deadeye's Far Shot no longer grants Far Shot so you can combine it with this Helmet to gain Far Shot. It deals more damage to enemies you Shot from a Far.
(150-200)% increased Armour and Evasion (30-50)% increased Projectile Speed (30-50)% increased Projectile Damage Projectiles cannot collide with Enemies in Close Range Far Shot |
|
(Helmet) Starkonja's Head - A very cheap Helmet with tons of Dexterity, Maximum Life, and even some Attack Speed with Crit Chance. It increases your Evasion and reduces Damage when below 50% of Maximum Life.

|
(Weapon) Rare Bow - Get a bow with Added Fire, Cold, and Lightning Damage. Combined with Attack Speed it should grant at least 700 Elemental DPS. You can then seek other damage-oriented mods like Crit Chance or Elemental Penetration.

(Quiver) Ahuana's Bite - It has no Maximum Life but grants Cold Damage, Cold Resistance, and Life on Hit. It also causes enemies to take increased Damage if you can Chill them (not by using Skitterbots), so use it only if you don't run Secrets of Suffering. It's great with added Cold Damage.
Gain (6-8) Life per Enemy Hit with Attacks Adds (30-40) to (60-70) Cold Damage to Attacks +(20-30)% to Cold Resistance Enemies Chilled by your Hits have Damage taken increased by Chill Effect Chill Enemies as though dealing (60-100)% more Damage |

|
(Body Armour) Hyrri's Ire - This one adds a lot of Cold Damage to Attacks and has tons of Spell Suppression Chance. It lacks Maximum Life or any Resistances, so a good Rare Armour is probably better, especially as you can cap your Suppression easily anyway.
+(40-50) to Dexterity (140-220)% increased Evasion Rating 25% increased Chill Duration on Enemies (105-145) to (160-200) Added Cold Damage with Bow Attacks +30% chance to Suppress Spell Damage |
|
(Body Armour) Rare Body Armour - Get some Maximum Life with Resistances and shift a portion of incoming Physical Damage to be taken as Elemental. For Eldritch mods, we recommend increased Grace Effect and Critical Strike Multiplier for Attacks.
Min. requirements: 90 Maximum Life 40% Total Elemental Resistances #% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as Fire Damage (crafted) #% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as Lightning Damage (crafted) Optional affixes: Spell Suppression Chance Chaos Resistance Attributes Evasion |

|

Min. requirements: 90 Maximum Life 60% Total Elemental Resistances Optional affixes: Attack Speed Adds Elemenal Damage to Attacks Chaos Resistance Intelligence/Strenght (crafted) |
|
(Gloves) Shadows and Dust - If you want Critical Strike modifiers and Rampage, you may find these Gloves appealing. We however recommend Rare ones.
(20-30)% increased Global Critical Strike Chance +(20-30)% to Global Critical Strike Multiplier (100-130)% increased Evasion and Energy Shield 0.2% of Attack Damage Leeched as Mana Creates a Smoke Cloud on Rampage Gain Unholy Might for 3 seconds on Rampage Rampage |
|
(Belt) Prismweave - Good for a budget version. It greatly increases your Elemental Damage but lacks Maximum Life.
(12-24)% increased Global Physical Damage Adds (14-16) to (30-32) Fire Damage to Attacks Adds (10-12) to (24-28) Cold Damage to Attacks Adds 1 to (60-68) Lightning Damage to Attacks +(6-15)% to all Elemental Resistances 30% increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills during any Flask Effect |

|
(Amulet) Hyrri's Truth - It's the best Amulet. It alone provides you with enough Accuracy (via Precision) that you no longer need it on your other gear pieces. It also has a lot of Critical Strike Multiplier and Culling Strike (very efficient in this build).
+(20-30) to Dexterity Grants Level 30 Precision Skill +(40-80) to Dexterity +(25-50)% to Global Critical Strike Multiplier Bow Attacks have Culling Strike Precision has 100% increased Mana Reservation Efficiency |
|
Recommended Anointments: Throatseeker Divine Judgement |
|
(Ring) The Taming - It's a very fitting Ring on account of its large quantities of Elemental Resistance and increased Elemental Damage.
+(8-10)% to all Elemental Resistances 20% increased Damage with Hits and Ailments per Freeze, Shock or Ignite on Enemy +(20-30)% to all Elemental Resistances 30% increased Elemental Damage 10% chance to Freeze, Shock and Ignite 30% increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills |
|
(Ring) Death Rush - If you kill bosses quickly and want to map even faster we recommend this Ring. Adrenaline grants Physical Damage Reduction, Damage, Movement, and Attack Speed. If you plan to run maps with tough bosses it may not be as good.
+(17-23)% to Chaos Resistance Recover (3-5)% of Life on Kill Gain Adrenaline for (1-3) seconds on Kill |
|
(Ring) Rare Ring - Regular Rings are fine if you need extra Resistances or Attributes, which you probably will. Try to get Maximum Life and increased Elemental Damage with Attacks here as well.
Min. requirements: 80 Maximum Life 50% Total Elemental Resistances Intelligence and Strength Optional affixes: increased Global Critical Strike Chance increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills Adds Elemental Damage to Attacks increased Attack Speed |
|

Recommended affixes: Maximum Life chance to gain Phasing on Kill Critical Strike mods Accuracy added Elemental Damage with Bow Attacks |
|
(Jewel) Rare Jewels - Regular Jewels should be used to gain increased Maximum Life, Attributes, Resistances, and Critical Strike Chance or Multiplier.
Recommended affixes: increased Maximum Life Critical Strike mods Elemental Resistances Attributes |
|
(Jewel) Large Cluster Jewel - If you can afford a Bow/Attack Cluster Jewel with 3 suitable notables you should buy one. Your default Skill Tree provides excellent options too so leave it for the finishing touches.
Recommended Notables: 1 Added Passive Skill is Martial Prowess 1 Added Passive Skill is Fuel the Fight 1 Added Passive Skill is Feed the Fury 1 Added Passive Skill is Arcing Shot 1 Added Passive Skill is Prismatic Heart 1 Added Passive Skill is Sadist (without Secrets of Suffering) 1 Added Passive Skill is Calamitious |
|
(Jewel) The Interrogation - Brittle, Scorch, and Sap from Secrets of Suffering are much better than Ignite, Chill, and Shock. Chill and Shock will be applied with Skitterbots anyway. Ignite won't be missed. Having 5 Elemental Ailments on an enemy is better than the default 3.
Adds Secrets of Suffering
(Jewel) Watcher's Eye - Precision modifiers are almost all substantially beneficial. You're also using Grace for an Aura, there are some defensive mods tied to it.
(4-6)% increased maximum Energy Shield (4-6)% increased maximum Life (4-6)% increased maximum Mana <Two or Three random aura modifiers> |
|
(Jewel) Lethal Pride - It single-handedly solves all your Strength issues - you have tons of passives tightly clustered around the Fervour notable.
