Build Overview
Early on in Diablo 2 Resurrected you will want to make a character capable of efficiently farming the end-game content, as doing this should allow you to get a solid start and secure an easy transition to the late game. The Blizzard Sorcerers build featured in this guide was designed for just that - early ladder farming. Thanks to the formidable utility and unparalleled mobility, unachievable by any other Class early on, this Blizzard Sorceress build is capable of easily defeating Mephisto on the Hell difficulty.
This version of the Blizzard Sorc was created with farming Hell Mephisto in mind. If you equip it with the recommended [Early] gear choices, it should dispatch of the Lord of Hatred rather quickly.

Pros | Cons |
Great Mobility | Can run out of Mana rather quickly without good gear |
High AoE Damage | Starter Build - Not optimized for the Late game |
Good Crowd Control |

ATTRIBUTES |

COLD SPELLS |
This is the core Skill Tree of this Build. Cold Spells allow us to deal substantial Damage right from the start. Moreover, they offer solid crowd control which is extremely helpful as we can't really rely on our gear to save us yet. Skills:
LIGHTNING SPELLS |
Sorceress's Lightning Spells Skill tree offers high utility abilities that simply cannot be passed up. The obvious one is the Teleport which turns the Sorceress into a queen of battlefield mobility. The less obvious one is the Static Field that works especially well on high health enemies. Skills:

FIRE SPELLS |
We want just a single Skill from this one. Skills:

Items
You should try to get to (at least) a 63% Faster Cast Rate. If you manage to get your hands on Items that Give +Skills/Cold Spells, you should definitely use them. Magic Find should also be close to the top of your list as it will allow you to gear up much quicker. Extra Health and Vitality is always welcome as well, as it makes you a bit tankier. Faster Hit Recovery, Faster Run/Walk, and extra Stamina/Stamina Regen are also very useful to have. |
HELMETS |
[Early] Lore (Runeword) - An extremely solid early-game Runeword that gives you +1 to all Skills, which will most likely be the first one you will get. On top of skill levels, you also get nice damage reduction, high lightning resistance, and some extra mana.
[Late] Harlequin Crest (Shako) - You can't go wrong with Shako in the late game. This helmet gives you everything you might want for your Blizzard Sorc - Skill levels, Mana, Health, Damage taken reduction, attributes, and magic find. |
WEAPONS |
[Early] Spirit Weapon (Runeword) - An extremely powerful Runeword that can be made during day 1 (if you grind long enough, that is). it gives you everything you might need - Skill Levels, Faster Cast Rate, Life Leech, Bonus Mana, Extra Life, and Faster Hit Recovery. You can't go wrong with Spirit Weapon and you most likely won't change it for a long time. you should try to inscribe it into a Crystal Sword. |
[Late] Heart of the Oak (Runeword) - An extremely solid end-game choice that provides +3 to all Skills and a 30% Faster Cast Rate. You can't go wrong with this one. |
[Late] The Oculus (Swirling Crystal) - This is a great end-game choice if you're after extra Magic Find (Oculus gives a whooping +50% MF). Other than that, it greatly boosts your offensive power and can quite often automatically teleport you when you take damage. |
SHIELDS | |
[Early] Ancient's Pledge (Runeword) - This Runeword gives you a lot of Resistances and a solid Defense boost; is a good choice if you feel like you're lacking survivability against monsters that use magic. |
[Late] Splendor (Rune Word) - A great and inexpensive mid-to-late game option. It grants +1 to all Skills, high FCR, and 20% Magic Find. |
AMULETS |
[Early] Rare/Magic Amulet with + Sorceress/Cold Spells would be ideal, but chances of finding these are extremely low. Most likely, you will end up with a Magic Amulet with Magic Find and/or Resistances
[Late] Mara's Kaleidoscope - In a build that wants +All Skills, this amulet is a must for the end game. It provides a great combination of offensive (+2 to all skills) and defensive (+20-30 to all resistances) properties. |
ARMORS |
[Early] Stealth (Runeword) - This is an extremely powerful Early-game Runeword and you simply can't go wrong with it The bonuses provided by this (it requires level 17, mind you) can compete with some viable late-game armors, which is simply ridiculous. |
[Late] Skin of the Vipermagi (Serpentskin Armor) - A very solid late-game choice if you want to have the highest possible DPS. It increases All Skills and FCR making it a great offensive option. |
RINGS |
[Early] Rare/Magic Rings with Faster Cast Rate, Resistances, Magic Find, and Bonuses to Life are what you should be looking for early.
[Late] Raven Frost - This ring provides Freeze Immunity which is extremely important to have on every build. |
[Late] The Stone of Jordan - If you're after some more offensive power, this Unique Ring will give you just that. Stone of Jordan increases the level of all your Skills and your max Mana. Also, it's one of the most iconic items in Diablo 2. |
GLOVES |
[Early] Rare Gloves with Life Leech, Magic Find, increased Gold from Monsters, and Half Freeze Duration are good early-game options until you find something better. |
[Late] Magefist (Light Gauntlets) - Although not ideal (+ to Fire Skills is of not much use to you) these Gloves are an excellent choice if you're after Damage. They grant a high bonus FCR and a solid boost to mana regeneration which makes them irreplaceable in this Item slot.
BOOTS |
[Early] Rare/Magic Boots with Faster Run/Walk, Magic Find, increased Gold from Monsters, and extra Attributes are a good early-game option until you find something better.
[Late] Waterwalk (Sharkskin Boots) - You can't go wrong with these boots - they are an extremely solid all-around choice. With them, you will run much faster and never run out of Stamina. |
BELTS |
[Early] Rare/Magic Rings with Faster Hit Recovery, bonuses to Life, and increased Gold from Monsters are a good early-game option until you find something better
[Late] Arachnid Mesh (Spiderweb Sash) - A great offensive option that you should go for later in the game. It gives you +1 to all Skills and Faster Cast Rate, which is great. |
CHARMS |
MERCENARY |
Equipping a mercenary early on can be extremely difficult as finding a 4-Socket Polearm (for Insight Runeword) can take a lot of time, however, if you manage to do that, you should definitely employ a Merc as it will help you on your ventures. Please note that the below-mentioned recommendations can turn out to be quite expensive, especially early on. We recommend picking up Act 2 Defiance Mercenary for extra damage mitigation bonuses. He should be equipped with:
