-Build created

This Power Siphon Scion build is one of the best builds for efficient map/currency farming. It provides insane Movement and clear speed thanks to the reworked Vaal Power Siphon skill gem, which as of Patch 3.3 grants both the regular and Vaal versions of the skill. On top of high DPS and amazing AoE, this build utilizes the Queen of the Forest unique body armour for easily over 100% bonus Movement Speed. If you are looking for a fast and versatile build, this will be a perfect choice.

1. Gameplay

This Vaal Power Siphon Scion build is extremely fast ranged wander build. The core DPS comes from Piscator's Vigil unique wand which has high bonuses to Elemental Damage dealt, and high Critical Strike Chance and Multiplier. At the same time Power Siphon grants amazing AoE because of a high number of projectiles shot with each attack, and obliterates entire screens when using the Vaal version of the skill. On the other hand, this build's defenses are based on Life, very high Evasion Rating, Dodge Chance and insane Movement Speed which allows kiting enemies in open areas.

2. Build's PROS & CONS

PROS
  • beginner-friendly with just two active skills being used when playing casually
  • amazing AoE damage
  • unmatched clear speed on mid-tier maps
  • decent League starter build
  • Elemental reflect immunity
  • high Evasion Rating and Dodge Chance
CONS
  • requires 3 Labyrinths completed to connect to Ranger's part of the Skill Tree without loosing too many Passive Points
  • mediocre single-target DPS which renders this build somewhat useless against end-game Bosses

3. Leveling tips

We recommend leveling this Scion with Power Siphon/Vaal Power Siphon right after you reach level 12. This skill's AoE is amazing for leveling, and since it's the core skill in this build, it's just a natural choice for each stage of the game. While on early levels Crit.-related stats are not exactly popular, it's best to focus on raw Spell Damage and Life bonuses, and switching to Crit. at latter levels.
