Revive Barbarian Build Guide for PD2
Command an undead army with buffed dual Eternity and powerful Warcry support in this PD2 Revive Barbarian Build.Revive Barbarian Build
Last Update: October 13, 2026
Introduction
The Revive Barbarian is one of the strangest new endgame projects emerging from Project Diablo 2 Season 14: Alliance. The Build revolves around dual-wielding Eternity, which has been increased from +4 to +12 Revive. Two copies provide Level 24 Revive before Battle Command and +All Skills from equipment are counted, giving the Barbarian a surprisingly powerful undead army while his Warcries handle most of the support work.
Physical Revives are the focus. Battle Command increases their Skill Level and physical Damage, Grim Ward supplies a huge Enhanced Damage and Attack Rating bonus, and Battle Cry reduces enemy Physical Resistance. Battle Orders then adds another layer of durability to a character that already spends most fights safely behind a large frontline.
This is a wealthy-character Build. Two Eternities already require substantial currency, and Enigma becomes extremely valuable because Blink keeps the Revives together without removing either Weapon. Once the core equipment is assembled, the gameplay resembles a physical summoner built around Warcries: create your army, Blink it onto packs, weaken enemies, and let the Revives and Mercenary do the fighting.
Recommended Breakpoints
- Faster Hit Recovery (FHR): 48% is a comfortable target, while 86% provides another strong defensive breakpoint
- Faster Cast Rate (FCR): 37% is enough for a basic setup, while 63% makes Battle Cry and Blink noticeably smoother
Stat Allocation
- Strength: Enough to meet gear requirements
- Dexterity: Enough to meet gear requirements
- Vitality: Invest all remaining Points
- Energy: Nothing
Revive Barbarian has very little reason to spend attributes offensively. Your army and Mercenary deal most of the Damage, while Warcries scale through Skill Levels. A large Vitality investment works perfectly with Battle Orders and gives you the freedom to Blink aggressively into position when directing the army.
Pros
- Large physical Revive army supported by some of the strongest party buffs in PD2
- Extremely durable and safe once the army is assembled
- Battle Cry and Grim Ward provide excellent physical support without relying on Curse procs
- Unique summoner playstyle with plenty of room for high-end optimization
Cons
- Very expensive due to dual Eternity and the importance of Enigma
- Performance depends on finding strong physical monsters to Revive

Skill Trees

The Revive Barbarian is an endgame transition, so leveling directly toward dual Eternity makes little sense. We recommend progressing as a War Cry Barbarian and respeccing once both Eternities and a reliable source of Blink are available. This gives you a strong farming character while the expensive summoner equipment is being assembled.
After the respec, max Battle Command and Grim Ward first. Twenty hard Points in Battle Command provide +3 All Skills and a strong physical Damage buff, while Grim Ward adds a huge amount of Enhanced Damage and Attack Rating to nearby allies. Follow with Battle Cry to reduce enemy Physical Resistance, then max Battle Orders for additional Life and Mana. Place the remaining Points into Combat Reflexes, with one Point in Increased Speed, Iron Skin, Natural Resistance, and required prerequisites.
The recommended final core is therefore 20 Battle Command, 20 Grim Ward, 20 Battle Cry, and 20 Battle Orders, followed by Combat Reflexes. This setup turns the Barbarian into a dedicated commander whose Warcries scale the entire physical army while keeping himself extremely durable.
At the start of a Map, use a temporary Venom Runeword to cast Desecrate and create corpses. Equip both Eternities, cast Battle Command and your other buffs, then raise the strongest physical monsters available. Blood Lord and Blunderbore/Urdar-style enemies are excellent targets when they appear. Once the army is active, keep both Eternities equipped and use Enigma's Blink to regroup the Revives. Cast Battle Cry on tougher packs and create Grim Ward from the first suitable corpse.
Gear
Two copies of Eternity are mandatory. Season 14 raises each Weapon from +4 to +12 Revive, so dual-wielding starts the Build at Level 24 Revive before Battle Command and equipment bonuses. Eternity also allows six additional Revives per Weapon, giving the Barbarian a very large army. Low-requirement bases work perfectly because the Weapons themselves are primarily summon enablers.
Harlequin Crest is one of the cleanest Helmets because +2 All Skills improves Revive and every major Warcry at the same time. A strong Rare or Crafted Barbarian Helm can provide +2 Barbarian Skills, Battle Command or Grim Ward staffmods, FCR, Life, and Resistances. A Magic Warcries Helm with +3 Warcries is also an excellent progression option when your main goal is strengthening the support package cheaply.
Enigma is the preferred Body Armour. +2 All Skills increases Revive and the Warcries, while Blink solves the biggest weakness of any Revive setup by stacking the army directly onto the next target. Chains of Honor is a strong +Skill and Resistance alternative for group play, although the loss of personal Blink makes solo Mapping less fluid.
For Gloves, Occultist or Magefist provide easy FCR. Strong Rare or Crafted Caster Gloves can combine FCR with Mana, Strength, Resistances, and other defensive stats. Arachnid Mesh is the natural Belt because +1 All Skills raises Revive while FCR helps reach the 37% or 63% breakpoint. A Rare/Crafted FCR Belt is a useful progression alternative.
Mara's Kaleidoscope is the strongest simple Amulet because +2 All Skills improves every important part of the Build. Metalgrid is an experimental alternative that adds Iron Golem and Golem Mastery, allowing another permanent summon to join the army. A Magic +3 Warcries Amulet or strong Rare/Crafted Barbarian Amulet with FCR, Life, Mana, and Resistances works very well during progression.
For Rings, Wisp Projector is exceptionally attractive. +1 All Skills increases Revive and its Heart of Wolverine charges provide another physical Damage and Attack Rating boost for the army. The Stone of Jordan is the cleanest second offensive choice with another +1 All Skills. Rare or Crafted FCR Rings can replace either slot when you need casting speed or additional Resistances.
Boots are primarily defensive. Look for strong Rare or Crafted Boots with Faster Run/Walk, FHR, Life, and multiple Resistances. War Traveler is an easy Magic Find option once the rest of the character already covers its defensive requirements.
Charms
Warcries Skill Grand Charms are the main inventory choice because they improve Battle Command, Grim Ward, Battle Cry, and Battle Orders together. Start with a Barbarian Hellfire Torch and Annihilus; Annihilus is especially valuable because its +1 All Skills also increases Revive directly.
Use the remaining Small Charms for Life, Resistances, and FHR. Revive itself only benefits from +All Skills, so the Warcry Skillers are mainly there to strengthen the buffs and debuffs supporting the army.
Mercenary
An Act 1 Vigor Mercenary with Demon Machine is the most interesting current Season 14 setup. Vigor improves army movement, while Demon Machine adds repeated Multiple Shot procs and gives the Mercenary useful physical coverage behind the Revive frontline. Templar's Might adds a Might Aura to scale the physical army even further.
Faith is the main alternative if you want to focus more heavily on the Revives themselves. Fanaticism improves their attack speed and physical Damage, trading some of Demon Machine's personal Mercenary output for a stronger aura package.
- Demon Machine or Faith (Weapon)
- Vampire Gaze or Andariel's Visage (Helmet)
- Templar's Might (Armour)
- Rare/Crafted Gloves with IAS, Life Leech, and Resistances (Gloves)
- Nosferatu's Coil or String of Ears (Belt)
- Rare Boots with Faster Run/Walk and Resistances (Boots)
Final Thoughts
Season 14 turns dual Eternity from a novelty into a much more serious summoner concept. Level 24 Revive before Battle Command and gear gives the Barbarian a strong starting point, while Grim Ward, Battle Cry, Battle Command, Might, and optional Heart of Wolverine support stack several physical multipliers around the army.
The price and setup time keep Revive Barbarian firmly in late-game territory, but that is also part of its appeal. Once the army is assembled and Blink keeps every summon together, the Barbarian becomes a remarkably durable commander that clears Maps by sending a wall of monsters straight back at Sanctuary.
