Got a room full of enemies? Drop an Abyssal Titan on them. See which skills and Uniques turn Rampage into a serious endgame build.Rampage Warlock Build
Last Update: November 3, 2026
Introduction
The Rampage Warlock brings a huge demon into the fight and lets it do the smashing. The first cast drops a hulking brute on the battlefield. Recast Rampage and the Titan leaps onto another group, crushing enemies caught beneath it. There is something particularly satisfying about clearing a dungeon while a giant shadowy monster follows every command. You can lead it straight into Elites, pull it back toward a troublesome boss, or send it after the next pack while staying safely out of reach.
The build takes the Abyssal Titan variant, turning Rampage into an Abyss Recast Skill. Lurid Pact makes the demon hit much harder and grow as it kills, while Infernal Homunculus strengthens its Archfiend attacks. Frequent recasts keep the Titan attacking the targets that matter. Its automatic smashes are particularly threatening, giving the character meaningful damage even between direct commands. This is the attack to invest in first as the remaining skills mainly create opportunities for it to land.
Much of the supporting power comes from Shadowform. Nether Step moves you between groups and supplies stacks, while Metamorphosis with Terror Demon steadily replenishes them. The Mastermind Shard keeps Rampage recasts from costing Shadowform, and Blasphemous Fragment makes those commands apply Hex. Shadow of Harash adds considerable Abyss damage as long as Shadowform is maintained. It also gives an extra reason to keep moving through enemies.
Against dangerous packs, Dark Prison pins enemies in place and helps you build Fortify, which strengthens Crushing Aspect and defensive gear. Profane Sentinel puts Vulnerable on important targets, and Summon Laalish adds another demon and an Abyss damage window. This setup has strong area coverage and a surprisingly comfortable defensive rhythm. It does demand attention to Shadowform, demon duration and positioning: the Titan can keep striking automatically, but timely recasts really make the difference.

Equipment
Lurid Pact is the most important Unique for this build. It gives Rampage a large damage multiplier and makes the brute larger as it kills enemies. Bigger smashes are a noticeable advantage in crowded rooms, where the Titan can catch several targets with a single leap. The ring belongs in Ring 1 and stays equipped even as the rest of the gear improves. Prioritize its Ranks to Rampage affix and a high roll on the Unique effect.
Infernal Homunculus occupies the Off-Hand slot. Rampage is an Archfiend Skill, so the item adds direct damage and automatically activates its Lesser Demon upgrades. The Vanguard effect also brings an additional brute into the fight; keep an eye on where it attacks, as extra monsters can occupy different targets from your Abyssal Titan. Use a one-handed Legendary weapon in the Main Hand to preserve this Unique. Insidious Aspect belongs on that weapon and rewards you for keeping distance from enemies that have not managed to hit you.
Night Terror is the preferred Amulet because it scales Abyss damage with Shadowform stacks and doubles that bonus while Stealthed. This creates a direct link between mobility, defense and damage. Footfalls of the Waning World turn Evade into Nether Step and shorten its cooldown as Shadowform stacks are lost or consumed. Use the additional movement to reposition the Titan and restore stacks before entering another heavy damage window. Since these two items occupy fixed slots, do not plan offensive or mobility Aspects for the Amulet or Boots.
A Legendary Chest Armor with Aspect of Coagulation adds Fortify generation and Damage Reduction while Fortified. Dark Prison makes this bonus easier to maintain through its Fortify upgrade. Put Crushing Aspect on Ring 2 to turn that same defensive resource into a significant offensive multiplier. This pairing works during longer Elite encounters, where the Titan can keep attacking a target while you remain inside the prison and replenish Fortify.
Aspect of Calamity takes the Gloves slot. The Mastermind Shard with Blasphemous Fragment lets Rampage recasts apply Hex, and Calamity increases Critical Strike Chance against Hexed enemies. Aspect of Deeper Shadows on Legendary Pants raises your maximum Shadowform stacks and adds Shadow Resistance. The larger pool gives you more room to keep the Shadow of Harash bonus active across multiple casts. Maximum Shadowform remains capped, so extra bonuses beyond that cap are not useful.
Godslayer Crown completes the main armor setup. Its pull helps collect loose enemies into an easier target for the Titan. The item also increases damage taken by the affected enemies, improving the opening leap against scattered groups. Leoric's Crown is an alternative Helm once you have useful socketable bonuses and want to trade some grouping for stronger gem effects. It does not replace any other Legendary slot, but using it removes Godslayer's pull from the rotation.
The preferred Talisman is the five-piece Shadow of Harash set. Its Shadowform damage bonus supports the Abyssal Titan directly, while the defensive set bonus reduces damage taken and leaves shadow trails as you move. Place The Furnace in the sixth Charm slot for additional damage against Elites. On regular equipment, prioritize Ranks to Rampage, Willpower, Critical Strike Chance, Critical Strike Damage, Vulnerable Damage, Maximum Life and useful Cooldown Reduction. Greater Affixes on Rampage Ranks, damage multipliers and key defenses are especially valuable.
Shadow of Harash
- Berú of Harash's Shadow
- Fer of Harash's Shadow
- Linta of Harash's Shadow
- Mlor of Harash's Shadow
- Phoba of Harash's Shadow
- (2) Set: Enemies within Shadowform areas are Dominated for up to 7 seconds, preventing them from acting and causing them to move where you target with Recast Skills.
- (3) Set: Shadowform reduces damage taken by 25% and leaves Sigil of Subversion shadow trails behind you while moving.
- (5) Set: Your Abyss Skill damage is increased by 350%[x] while you have Shadowform, but each cast consumes 1 stack. Dominated enemies and Staggered Bosses take an additional 100%[x] damage.
Lurid Pact
- Ranks to Rampage
Rampage deals [200 - 240]%[x] increased damage. Each enemy or demon killed by Rampage increases the size of the brute and its smashes by 5%, up to 50%.
Infernal Homunculus
- Ranks to Demonology Skills
Your Archfiend Skills deal [75 - 100]%[x] increased damage and casting an Archfiend Skill activates all of its Lesser Demon upgrades for free with 200% longer durations.
Night Terror
- Ranks to Abyss Skills
Your Abyss Skills deal [9.0 - 12.0]%[x] increased damage for each stack of Shadowform. This bonus is increased by 100% while you have Stealth.
Footfalls of the Waning World
- Movement Speed
Your Evade is now Nether Step and your Evade Cooldown is reduced by [0.60 - 1.00] seconds as you lose or consume Shadowform stacks.
Godslayer Crown
- Armor
When you attempt to Incapacitate an enemy, you mark them and all surrounding enemies, pulling them in and dealing [7.5 - 10]%[x] increased damage to them.
Leoric's Crown
- Attack Speed
This item counts as Jewelry. The effect of a gem socketed in this Helm is increased by [35 - 50]%[x].
The Furnace
You deal [75 - 100]%[x] more damage to Elites.
For Legendary Aspects, the main setup places Insidious on a one-handed weapon, Coagulation on Chest Armor, Calamity on Gloves, Deeper Shadows on Pants and Crushing on Ring 2. Lurid Pact occupies Ring 1, Night Terror the Amulet, Footfalls the Boots, Infernal Homunculus the Off-Hand and Godslayer Crown the Helm. Every Aspect below has a separate, compatible slot.
Insidious Aspect
Your Abyss Skills deal 80.0%[x] increased damage to enemies who have not hit you in the last 2 seconds.
Aspect of Coagulation
Gain 30%[+] increased Fortify generation and 20% Damage Reduction while Fortified.
Aspect of Calamity
Hex increases your Critical Strike Chance against an enemy by 20.0%[+] per stack.
Aspect of Deeper Shadows
Maximum Shadowform stacks increased by [2 - 6]. Your Shadow Resistance is increased by 50%[+].
Crushing Aspect
While Fortified, you deal 65%[x] increased damage.
With the main one-handed weapon and Off-Hand setup, keep the weapon upgraded for Weapon Damage and strong offensive affixes. A two-handed weapon removes Infernal Homunculus and therefore loses its Archfiend damage and Lesser Demon benefits. If you are missing the ring or Off-Hand, ordinary Legendary gear can get Rampage through the campaign and early Torment, but it will lack the damage and pack coverage of the final setup.
Skills
15/15Primary DPS: Rampage summons the enormous Abyssal Titan that handles almost all of your damage. Its automatic smashes keep hurting enemies between commands, and a recast sends it leaping into a new target area. Lurid Pact makes every kill expand the demon and its attacks, while Infernal Homunculus strengthens the Archfiend skill. Drop the Titan directly into packs or recast onto an Elite that survived the opening impact.
Maximize Rampage and select Abyssal Titan, Elite Hit Chance and Killstreak Damage. Abyssal Titan gives the skill its Abyss and Recast interactions. Elite Hit Chance improves its reliability against high-priority targets, while Killstreak Damage rewards repeated kills in crowded rooms.
15/15Mobility/Defense: Nether Step moves you out of danger, grants Shadowform and makes it easier to keep pace with the Titan. With Footfalls of the Waning World equipped, Evade also becomes Nether Step. You can use the movement to enter a pack, dodge a dangerous attack or cross a corridor while your demon finishes the previous group.
Take Shadow Recall, Damage Reduction and Movement Speed. Shadow Recall carries your Abyss Summons along and extends their duration, which is useful when the Titan would otherwise be left behind. Keep enough movement available to avoid ground effects during longer Boss encounters.
15/15Defense/Control: Dark Prison holds enemies near the place where the Titan is about to land. Its Fortify upgrade helps activate both Coagulation and Crushing. The prison also makes it safer to stand near Elites while the demon keeps smashing them, particularly when you have no room to evade between walls or damaging ground effects.
Use Calamity Cage, Fortify and Weaken. Calamity Cage makes the prison last longer and lets you collapse it early with a recast. Do not keep normal enemies trapped unnecessarily when you need them dead to move on; the cage delays their deaths until it ends.
1/15Vulnerable/Support: Profane Sentinel supplies a reliable source of Vulnerable. Place its eye where the Titan will be attacking, especially near an Elite or Boss that is unlikely to fall from a single smash. The beam keeps pressure on a target while you redirect Rampage, and several eyes can cover a larger portion of the battlefield.
Choose Sentry, Wide Beam and Single Target Damage. Sentry allows multiple eyes but removes manual redirection of their gaze. Position the eyes with the first cast so their beams cover enemies that are about to take the Titan's next hit.
15/15Shadowform/Offense: Metamorphosis with Terror Demon is the main source of Shadowform during extended engagements. It generates fresh stacks every second and lets Abyss Skills maintain Stealth while the form is active. This directly supports Night Terror and Shadow of Harash, allowing you to issue repeated Titan commands during a sustained damage window.
Select Terror Demon, Dominance and Maximum Life. Terror Demon keeps your regular skill bar available. Activate it before a long Elite or Boss fight, then spend the active period redirecting Rampage while Shadowform continues to recover.
1/1Demon/Utility: Summon Laalish comes from the Mastermind Shard. The Abyss demon joins your summon package and provides another target for enemies while your Titan attacks. Laalish also creates opportunities for Recast interactions and for the Shadow of Harash control effects to matter in packed rooms.
Use the Mastermind Shard with Blasphemous Fragment. The shard allows Recast Skills to preserve Shadowform without an additional Shadowform cost from the shard itself; Blasphemous Fragment applies Hex on Recast hits and gives Abyss Summon Skills additional damage against Hexed enemies. The Shadow of Harash five-piece effect still consumes Shadowform when you cast Abyss Skills, so keep generating fresh stacks.
Core Rotation
Before a dangerous pack, activate Metamorphosis and use Nether Step to build Shadowform and close the gap. Place Dark Prison on the group, then cast Profane Sentinel to apply Vulnerable. Summon Laalish and drop Rampage into the center of the pack. The Titan begins attacking automatically; recast Rampage onto priority targets to trigger its heavy leap and spread Hex through Blasphemous Fragment. Keep Dark Prison active when possible to refresh Fortify and maintain Crushing Aspect.
During Boss fights, watch the target's movement before issuing the next Rampage command. Redirecting the Titan too early can pull its damage away from the boss, while ignoring a moving target can waste several automatic smashes. Refresh Terror Demon and use Nether Step as Shadowform runs low. Save one movement option for dangerous mechanics. When a pack is already dying, move toward the next one and use Shadow Recall to bring the Titan with you.
Miscellaneous
Paragon Board
Start with the Starting Board and the Abyssal Glyph to strengthen the main damage type. Take efficient Willpower, Maximum Life and defensive nodes while progressing toward your next board. A good opening route improves the Titan without leaving the character so fragile that every attempt to stay near Dark Prison becomes dangerous.
Move into Dominion with Attrition, then Overmind with Demonologist. Dominion supports the Dominance spent on Archfiend Skills, and Overmind strengthens Abyss Skills against Crowd Controlled enemies and Elites. The latter also generates Dominance when Abyss Skills hit Elite enemies, helping you maintain Rampage pressure during longer fights. Demonologist is a natural match for the Greater Demons active in this setup.
Finish with Greater Hex and Destruction, followed by Demonic Spicules and Mastermind. Blasphemous Fragment applies Hex through Titan recasts, so the Hex board and its Glyph have targets almost immediately. Demonic Spicules adds further offensive scaling, while Mastermind supports the Shadowform-focused playstyle. Prioritize Legendary Nodes, useful Glyph sockets and efficient Rare Node clusters before taking long routes for small attribute gains.
Soul Shards
Bind the Mastermind Shard and select Blasphemous Fragment. Mastermind grants Summon Laalish and allows Recast Skills to preserve Shadowform Stealth. Its Recast Skills no longer consume Shadowform stacks simply for being recast. Blasphemous Fragment makes Recast hits apply Hex, reduces their Resource Costs and Cooldowns by 20%, and improves Abyss Summon damage against Hexed enemies by 35%. Rampage's Abyssal Titan variant supplies repeated Recast hits, making this pairing active throughout most fights.
Runes
Use Igni + Prid for an automatic Dark Prison when enough Offering has accumulated from Non-Basic Skill casts. It provides another chance to Fortify without requiring you to stop commanding Rampage. For the second pair, Nagu + Mot generates Offering while your summons are active and invokes a protective shadow that reduces incoming damage. Place each Runeword in its own compatible two-socket item.
Talisman
Shadow of Harash is the recommended set. Two pieces Dominate enemies caught in Shadowform areas and help move them toward your Recast targets. Three pieces reduce damage taken while in Shadowform. The full five-piece bonus greatly increases Abyss Skill damage while consuming stacks on casts. Nether Step and Terror Demon replenish those stacks, so keep one of them available when your Shadowform pool begins to drop.
Complete the set with Berú, Fer, Linta, Mlor and Phoba of Harash's Shadow. Use The Furnace as the sixth Charm for its bonus damage against Elites. Prioritize Ranks to Abyss or Demonology Skills, Willpower, Maximum Life, Critical Strike Damage and defensive affixes on individual Charms. The set does not require a particular Mythic Unique to work.
Mercenary
Hire Varyana with Cleave, Recklessness, Whirlwind and Taste of Flesh. Her attacks help create Vulnerable openings and her bleed-related effects provide extra recovery while you are fighting near Dark Prison. Choose Raheir as Reinforcement with Bastion, triggered when you become Injured, to help survive a dangerous hit while the Titan continues attacking.
Final Thoughts
The Abyssal Titan Rampage Warlock can send its demon straight into the next pack while the Warlock stays mobile in Shadowform. Lurid Pact and Infernal Homunculus improve the heavy smashes, and Dark Prison holds Elites in place long enough for repeated leaps. Against bosses, the important decisions are when to redirect the Titan, how to maintain Fortify and when to refresh Terror Demon.
