Scourge Arrow is a very powerful channeled Bow Attack introduced in Patch 3.4. While it has been most popular in Poison/Chaos builds because of the Physical to Chaos Damage conversion, there are no reasons to not use it with an Elemental Bow, and enjoy the 650% increased Damage when releasing the skill at five stacks. Our build revolves around Hopeshredder and Raider class for maximizing the effectiveness of Frenzy Charges. This build provides insane DPS, and easily 330% bonus Movement Speed (if you decide to use Quicksilver Flask and Phasing).

1. Gameplay

Hopeshredder Scourge Arrow Raider is a Ranged/Elemental build with insane Cold DPS nearly 300% bonus Movement Speed and high Dodge Chance and Evasion Rating. The main idea behind this build is to release Scourge Arrow at 5 stages for insane Damage bonuses caused by Hits. Scourge Arrow one-shots everything on the map except for Bosses. Also, killing frozen enemies causes additional explosions from Herald of Ice greatly increases your clear speed. The only downside of this build is the low Life pool it has, but it can be nullified by adding Life bonus items in the Helmet, Gloves, and Boots slot.

3. Leveling tips

We recommend playing this build with Elemental Hit, which provides high DPS and will let you easily switch to your final build without refunding half of your Passive Skills. It's best to be played with the Storm Cloud or the Tempest bow. Most of your Rare and Magic gear should focus on defensive stats, Movement Speed and Attack Speed bonuses.

Suggested leveling Gem setups:

Elemental Hit setup
	Elemental Hit - very good leveling skill which deals high damage based mainly on Passive Skills and your weapon's Attack Speed
	Mirage Archer Support - summons a Mirage Archer on your back which uses the Supported Skill with slightly reduced Attack Speed and Damage
	Faster Attack Support - increases Chaos Damage dealt by supported skills
	Lesser Multiple Projectiles Support - increases the number of Elemental Hit's projectiles

Utility Gems
	Haste - increases your Movement Speed and Attack Speed
	Projectile Weakness - recommended Curse for this build
	Ice Golem - grants increased Critical Strike Chance and Accuracy Rating
	Blink Arrow - Movement Skill that can be used with Bows

Bandits:

We recommend killing all the Bandits for two additional Passive Points

Goldrim - the best leveling Helmet in Path of Exile
+(30-50) to Evasion Rating 10% increased Rarity of Items found +(30-40)% to all Elemental Resistances Reflects 4 Physical Damage to Melee Attackers Level Requirement reduced by 100 (Hidden)

Storm Cloud - the best leveling Bow for this build. You can replace it with the Fated version at level 32
No Physical Damage Adds 1 to 85 Lightning Damage (36-50)% increased Attack Speed

	Scourge Arrow - primary Skill in this build. It deals insane damage basically one-shotting everything except for Bosses
	Added Cold Damage Support - adds flat Cold Damage to supported skills
	Elemental Damage with Attacks Support - greatly increases Elemental Damage
	Hypothermia Support - increases the damage you deal to frozen and chilled enemies
	Ice Bite Support - grants very high bonus Cold Damage based on the number of Frenzy Charges
	Increased Critical Strikes Support - increases Critical Strike Chance of your Scourge Arrow

[DPS] Rain of Arrows
	Rain of Arrows - is mainly used to clear white mobs, you can still do it with Scourge Arrows but it slows you down a bit

	Cast when Damage Taken Support - auto-casts supported spells when you take a certain amount of damage

	Blink Arrow - the only movement skill which can be used with Bows

[UTILITY] Phase Run
	Phase Run - Phase Run grants increased Movement Speed, but it's mainly used in this build to get rid off unwanted Frenzy Charges. It comes in handy if you need to backtrack a bit or you are running Elemental Weakness Map and can feel the Hopeshredder's DoT

[UTILITY] Herald of Ice
	Herald of Ice - grants extra Cold Damage and will make frozen enemies explode and deals extra AoE Damage

[UTILITY] Vaal Impurity of Ice
	Vaal Impurity of Ice - it is used for both Purity of Ice Aura and the Vaal skill which makes you ignore Cold Resistance of nearby enemies for a brief duration

[UTILITY] Immortal Call and Vaal Haste
	Cast when Damage Taken Support - auto-cats support spells. Keep this Gem at level 1
	Immortal Call - grants brief immunity to Physical Damage. Do not upgrade it above level 3
	Vaal Haste - provides increased Attack and Movement Speed for a brief duration
	Increased Duration Support

[CURSE] Projectile Weakness
	Orb of Storms - Orb of Storms is used to generate Frenzy Charges and apply the supported Curse
	Curse on Hit Support - makes supported spell apply supported Curse
	Projectile Weakness - recommended Curse for this build. If you time Vaal Impurity of Ice well, Projectile Weakness will grant higher bonus DPS
	Power Charge on Critical Support - makes Orb of Storms generate Power Charges
