Doomfletch's Prism is one of the best DPS bows in Path of Exile -, especially among other unique bows. It provides insane additional elemental damage to your attacks based on your weapon's physical damage. Since all Doomfletch's Prism users deal mainly elemental damage, we have decided to make this experimental Elementalist build. It is using three Golems to significantly increase the damage of all three elements with the Elementalist Ascendancy passives.

1. Gameplay

Doomfletch's Prism Lightning Arrow is more or less typical ranged/bow elemental build with one of the best AoE in game. We have decided to base it on the Elementalist Ascendancy class, as we believe it has the potential to maximize this build's DPS. It allows summoning three different Golems with the Liege of the Primordial passive node and the Anime Stone unique jewel. It not only increases the elemental damage by 40% (for each element) but also provides excellent defensive utility. It is also a Life-based build, which relies on high bonuses on the Belly of the Beast body armour. The second 5/6 linked item also provides sockets for the tanky Golems setup.

3. Leveling tips

Following the tree we have provided may cause the build to feel a little clunky for the first couple of levels. Leveling to level 12 is rather easy either way, and the game becomes much smoother when you reach it and equip the Firestorm Gem. Firestorm spell in a +1 to socketed fire Gems wand should do the job until level 40. This is when you can pick up the primary bow nodes from the Ranger's part of the tree and equip Doomfletch's Prism. At this point, DPS should not be a problem for the remaining part.

Suggested leveling Gem setups:

Freezing Pulse setup
	Freezing Pulse - projectile based-spell that has 100% pierce chance, making it an excellent choice for leveling
	Faster Casting Support
	Arcane Surge Support - grants additional spell damage after you spend a certain amount of mana on the supported spell

Firestorm setup
	Firestorm - excellent leveling AoE spell
	Increased Area of Effect Support
	Faster Casting Support

Utility Gems
	Elemental Weakness - the recommended curse for this build (for both leveling and the mapping phase)
	Clarity - provides additional mana regeneration
	Flame Dash - your main mobility skill, can be linked together with Faster Casting Support for higher speed

Bandits:

Killing all bandits for two additional passives points is the best option

Recommended leveling items:

Praxis - is a great unique leveling ring for spellcasters. Use two until level 40 when you swap to Doomfletch's Prism. Then you can keep one to help you manage your mana, and swap the other one with a high flat Phys. DPS rare Iron Ring

Goldrim - the best leveling unique helmet in Path of Exile

Wurm's Molt - grants excellent Life and attribute's bonuses early on, and after you switch to DF it will also give fantastic Life and Mana leech

Lifesprig - great leveling wand, you can dual wield those wands to host your Freezing pulse and Firestorm setups until level 40

Minor God: Soul of Gruthkul - 1% additional Physical Damage Reduction for each Hit you've taken Recently up to a maximum of 5%

	Lightning Arrow - your primary DPS ability. Grants amazing AoE damage
	Physical Projectile Attack Damage Support - mandatory Support Gem for this setup
	Greater Multiple Projectiles Support - provides the fantastic AoE of the LA skill
	Chance to Bleed Support - this is one of the most important Gem in this setup. The bleed is not that important, but the Gem itself provides flat Phys. Damage bonuses higher than that of the Abyssus unique helmet
	Elemental Damage with Attacks Support - buffs up all three types of elemental damage of your attacks
	Pierce Support - scales well with Drillneck unique quiver, granting great DPS bonuses

[AURA/GOLEM] Golems and Heralds setup
	Flame Golem - grants the boost to Fire Elemental Damage dealt and additional 40% increased damage
	Ice Golem - grants the boost to Cold elemental damage, and increased Critical Strike Chance and Accuracy Rating
	Lightning Golem - grants the boost to Lightning elemental damage, and grants increased Attack Speed
	Herald of Ice - with the reworked Elementalist Ascendancy it is recommended to use all three Herald spells

	Faster Attacks Support - grants faster mobility with Blink Arrow

[CURSE] Frost Bomb Elemental Weakness 4L setup
	Frost Bomb - this spell will be used to apply your curse, grant the Mastermind of Discord Lightning penetration buff and generates Power Charges
	Curse on Hit Support - will make Frost Bomb apply the linked curse
	Elemental Weakness - one of the best curses for all elemental builds. You may as well consider taking Enfeeble for more defensive playstyle, or Poacher's Mark
	Power Charge on Critical Support - will make Frost Bomb generate extra Power Charges

[DEFENSE] Immortal Call 3L setup
	Immortal Call - grants brief immortality. Do not upgrade it above the level of your CwDT Gem
	Cast when Damage Taken Support - will cast the Immortal Call every time you take around 600 dmg
	Increased Duration Support - increased the duration of IC buff
	Vaal Haste - grants extra movement and attack speed for a brief period. Good for boss fights

5. Gear Setup

This build relies heavily on high flat Phys. Damage bonuses from your items. Abyssus is the best in slot helmet but requires a lot of Strength attributes. You can replace it with the newly introduced Lightpoacher helmet with flat Phys. Abyss jewels, but it may still be not available on the temporary League. High Life/res Steel Rings are recommended, and 5-6L Doomfletch's Prism and Anima Stone are required. All these prerequisites make this build not suitable for low-budget players. However, the joy it provides is worth it.

(Helmet) Lightpoacher - the newly introduced helmet in patch 3.1. It can have up to 2 Abyss sockets, that should be socketed with Flat Physical Damage Abyss jewels for increased DPS. Only then it can be considered a valuable replacement for the Abyssus helmet
