Unique Items in Path of Exile 2
Last Update: May 31, 2026 (Patch 0.5 of Early Access)
Introduction
Unique Items are among the most exciting pieces of equipment you can find in Path of Exile 2. Unlike Magic or Rare Items, they come with fixed modifiers and special effects that often cannot be obtained anywhere else. Many of them are designed around specific mechanics, enabling powerful interactions or entirely new ways to play the game.
While some Uniques are primarily intended for endgame characters, others can be equipped very early in the campaign and provide an enormous power boost. The right leveling Unique can dramatically increase your damage, mobility, or survivability, allowing you to progress through the story much faster and more comfortably. In this guide, we'll take a look at the best Unique Items for leveling and explain what makes them so effective.
List of the best Leveling Unique Items in Path of Exile 2
With the basics out of the way, it's time to take a closer look at the best leveling Unique Items in Path of Exile 2. These items can significantly speed up your campaign progression, provide powerful early-game bonuses, and make leveling new characters much smoother.

| WANDERLUST WRAPPED SANDALS |
Energy Shield: (32-42) 20% increased Movement Speed
WANDERLUST
Movement Speed is fundamental throughout all stages of the game, so getting Boots with 20% of this stat as early as level 11 would be great. Only later on, it'll be possible to acquire more Movement Speed there. Slow Immunity is also a key characteristic that makes these boots so good; you may have noticed that a lot of death is a result of getting immobilised. These Boots are very cheap and can drop anywhere.
| GOLDRIM FELT CAP |
Evasion: (78-98) +(30-50) to Evasion Rating
GOLDRIM
Goldrim's key feature is its abundance in Elemental Resistances. Other stats are of no importance, so if you happen to have a copy with a high roll there, it may fetch you a pretty penny. It becomes less suitable once you can afford a Helmet with a similar amount of Resistances on top of other stats, like maximum Life, which usually happens somewhere in the middle of the campaign. It's a somewhat common loot, but its price heavily depends on the Resistance roll.
| THRILLSTEEL SPIRED GREATHELMET |
Armour: 116 Onslaught
THRILLSTEEL
Onslaught is a buff that grants 20% increased Skill Speed and 10% increased movement speed, usually bestowed briefly and conditionally, so its permanence is more than welcome. It's good for almost any build, once you can afford to ignore its lack of Resistances and, well, everything else. It's an offensive pick that will become obsolete once you start valuing durability over damage, which will happen eventually, depending on your build. It's a very common drop.
| DOEDRE'S TENURE STITCHED GLOVES |
Energy Shield: (37-47) +(20-30) to maximum Energy Shield
DOEDRE'S TENURE
These Gloves are good for most low-level Spell-casters due to the "100% increased Spell Damage" mod, but they will most likely quickly become obsolete once you allocate Spell Damage on a Skill Tree or obtain a weapon with a similar modifier. They have a major downside of reducing Cast Speed that is often directly tied to DPS, unless your build's cast rate is restricted not by Cast Speed but by Cooldowns or Energy Gain (in case of Trigger builds). It's a dirt-cheap common drop.
| GRIP OF WINTER FIRM BRACES |
Evasion: (33-39) (30-50)% increased Evasion Rating
GRIP OF WINTER
Any Cold-Damage Attack build should at some point consider Grip of Winter; they're extremely good at level 11 due to the added damage, Cold Resistance, and upgraded effect of Chill and Freeze Buildup. They will serve you until late campaign or early mapping, because, as good as they are, they lack fundamental defensive stats. It's a common drop, worth almost nothing.
| GHOSTWRITHE TATTERED ROBE |
Energy Shield: 128 +100 to maximum Energy Shield
GHOSTWRITHE
It's a powerful Body Armour, but only if you have easy access to Energy Shield passives, meaning you play a character that starts at the upper part of the Skill Tree, and one that can regain ES effectively (relying on default Recharge is a bad idea). Once these weak points are covered, Ghostwrithe offers an unmatched Life Pool until you find a Body Armour with a flat ES exceeding 35% of your Max Life. For a character with around 3000 Life, 1000 Max ES Body Armour will outmatch it. It's a somewhat common drop, usually cheap.
| ENFOLDING DAWN PILGRIM VESTMENTS |
Armour: (37-50) (50-100)% increased Armour and Energy Shield
ENFOLDING DAWN
Another Body Armour with no Level or Attribute requirements. This one is a favorite of Minions, Ancestral Bond, or any other builds that heavily rely on Spirit, as no other Rare Body Armour can offer you such a high amount of this stat; it's usually half of that, even for late-game chests. On top of that, it has some Resistances, and a downside of Intelligence no longer providing Mana, which is manageable. This armor can be worn deep into the late game, and parting ways with it may be difficult, but it is ultimately necessary if you want your character to stay durable. It's a cheap and common item.
| BLACKHEART IRON RING |
Adds 1 to 4 Physical Damage to Attacks
BLACKHEART
Blackheart is an excellent level-1 item for all Attack builds. The Ring adds a lot of damage (for the early game), especially Chaos Damage, but it will be quickly overshadowed by other Rings, because Added Damage is a mod that can be found on all Rare Rings. Intimidated enemies take 10% increased damage and deal 10% reduced damage, so try to wear at least one of these until Act 2 or 3. You can find these Rings being handed out for pretty much free or on the ground.
| THIEF'S TORMENT EMERALD RING |
Requires Level 26 +(120-160) to Accuracy Rating
THIEF'S TORMENT
Thief's Torment has a lot going on, but its most impactful mods are the ones for instant Life and Mana gain on Hit. It's a type of modifier that's extremely hard to find, so if you're struggling with resource management and are using an Attack that Hits many times a second, it will be a perfect choice. It has Resistances, Accuracy, and a big boost to Item Rarity, but do take into account that it has a major downside, namely, the inability to use other Rings. It's a rare drop that will serve you for as long as you struggle with Life and Mana recovery, which may be indefinitely, although if that's the case, we recommend other solutions.
| MIDNIGHT BRAID RAWHIDE BELT |
Has (1-3) Charm Slots
MIDNIGHT BRAID
It's a good solution for Mana management issues. It causes half of the damage you take to be regained as Mana over 8 seconds, so it will work as long as you get hit, which most characters are. It's an excellent match for the Mind Over Matter Keystone that causes your Mana to take on damage that would reduce Life. It also has Elemental Resistances, Maximum Mana, and no requirements whatsoever; a very common and cheap item.
| THE EVERLASTING GAZE AZURE AMULET |
(20-30)% increased Mana Regeneration Rate
THE EVERLASTING GAZE
It offers Maximum Mana, tons of Mana Regeneration Rate, and a bit of flat Energy Shield that will grow alongside Maximum Mana. It's a very good Amulet for all characters who wish to use their skills with reckless abandon as soon as level 1. It grows weaker as the options to regain Mana become more and more abundant. It's cheap and common.
| SUREFOOTED SIGIL JADE AMULET |
Requires Level 8 +(10-15) to Dexterity
SUREFOOTED SIGIL
Surefooted Sigil is truly great. It offers Maximum Life and Dexterity that a low-level character will welcome with open arms, and that's on top of its Dodge Roll upgrade. An additional metre to Dodge Roll distance often means that it's faster to roll than it is to walk. One of the most useful Amulets in the game; there may be no reason to stop using it even in a finished build. It's another cheap and common item.
| YOKE OF SUFFERING BLOODSTONE AMULET |
Requires Level 18 +(30-40) to maximum Life
YOKE OF SUFFERING
Yoke will work on any Elemental Damage build, but it is the best choice for ones that deal all three types of Elemental Damage - Fire, Cold, and Lightning. Be sure each of them is capable of inflicting the corresponding Elemental Ailment, or use separate Skills to inflict them, and you will never have to replace this Amulet ever again; it's that good. It is, unfortunately, somewhat expensive, but it can drop anywhere, albeit rarely.
