Introduction
Gunslinger is a very dynamic and extremely versatile fighter capable of effectively engaging enemies at pretty much any distance. Her versatility comes from the three weapons, she utilizes - a pistol, a shotgun, and a rifle. There are two main Gunslinger PvE Raiding Builds, both based on one of Her Class Engravings: Peacemaker and Time to Hunt. The featured build is based on the latter.
Time to Hunt removes one of the Gunslinger's weapons, the Shotgun, which changes how She plays rather significantly: Firstly, She no longer has to engage enemies at point-blank range and can focus on her long-range Skills. And secondly, She has fewer skills to worry about which makes the rotation much easier. The main downside of the Time to Hunt Gunslinger is her lower Damage output when compared to the Peacemaker variant.

Pros | Cons |
Solid Mobility | Deals less Damage than Peacemaker Gunslinger |
Very High Range on Rifle Skills | Rather low Defense |
Good Team Utility | Still Hard to Master |
Simpler to play than the alternative Gunslinger Build |

Stat Priority
While both Specialization and Swiftness have some value, Crit Rate is, by far, the most valuable stat for a Time to Hunt Gunslinger. The exact percentage you should go for will (as always) depend on your encounter knowledge, gear, chosen engravings, and preference. The two most viable Stat Builds for a Time to Hunt Gunslinger are:
Skills
HANDGUN | |
METEOR STREAM |
Gunslinger fires a volley of bullets into the air, then he controls them to crash into the target location, inflicting high amounts of damage and launching enemies into the air. This is one of your main offensive Handgun skills. It deals decent damage and can help you during Stagger checks. Moreover, it's quite dynamic and can ignore a portion of the target's defense. Its main downside is a rather long Cooldown.
Level 10
EQUILIBRIUM |
Gunslinger fires her handgun across a broad area, dealing moderate amounts of damage to all enemies who find themselves in range. Equilibrium is your most convenient source of the Weakness Exposure debuff (when applied with it, the debuff lasts for 12 seconds), but it has a relatively long Cooldown.
Level 10
BULLET RAIN |
Gunslinger fires her handgun forward for 2 seconds to deal high amounts of Damage. This powerful Skill synergizes very well with the Time to Hunt Engraving and all other Crit Chance boosters (thanks to its Flame Shot Tripod). As a result, it deals a lot of Damage for a Handgun skill and will slightly improve your Stagger Damage potential.
Level 10
SPIRAL TRACKER |
Gunslinger throws a spinning handgun at the target location within 10 meters from her, dealing moderate damage over 15 hits. This is one of your sources of the Weakness Exposure debuff. When applied with this skill, the debuff lasts for 6 seconds. Using this skill will also increase your movement speed by 20% for 3 seconds. This skill is also used as a source of Conviction buff from the Rune. |
Level 7
AT02 GRENADE |
Gunslinger throws a grenade at the target location within 10 meters of her, dealing minor amounts of damage. This neat AoE ability will be your way of applying Bleed to groups of trash mobs. Thanks to its low cooldown, you will be able to maintain it for as long as it is needed. |
Level 17
DEXTEROUS SHOT |
Gunslinger moves 6 meters as she glides and fires her handgun 4 times to inflict minor amounts of Damage to nearby enemies. This Skill can be used up to two times in a row. This is one of three Debuffing Skills in your arsenal. It can be used as a mobility tool, if needed, as well. In this build, it also serves as a trigger for your Judgement Rune.
Level 7
QUICK STEP |
Gunslinger slides 6 meters forward and fires her handgun to deal moderate amounts of damage. This will give you a nice mobility boost. Also, using this skill will give you a slight Attack and Movement Speed buff for 4 seconds.
Level 4
PEACEKEEPER |
Gunslinger fires her handgun forward to inflict minor amounts of Damage. Then, if you press the Colbo key, She fires her handgun in a burst to inflict another portion of Damage. If you input another Combo, She will also perform a kick and then fire her handgun rapidly to inflict moderate amounts of damage. The direction of this skill can be changed upon hitting the Combo key. Moreover, the first hit of this skill allows Gunslinger to perform a Counter Attack. This has two purposes. Firstly, it serves as your Counter Attack. Secondly, it can be used as a Mobility Skill.
Level 4
RIFLE | |
FOCUSED SHOT |
Gunslinger fires her rifle two times to inflict moderate amounts of damage with each shot. Then, she fires a high-caliber bullet to deal high amounts of damage and knock down enemies. Focused Shot offers a rather large AoE that can be helpful when fighting against trash mobs. Moreover, just like other Rifle Skills, it can be used from a relatively safe distance.
Level 12
TARGET DOWN |
Gunslinger enters a snipe stance with 3 bullets. Each of the bullets can be carefully aimed and shot to deal high amounts of damage. The duration of the snipe stance lasts up to 2.5 seconds. This potent DPS skill is one of your three main damage sources with a Rifle. It can be fired from a long range, so you can stay relatively safe while using it.
Level 12
PERFECT SHOT |
Gunslinger fires a high-speed large-caliber projectile to inflict moderate amounts of damage. She can hit the Perfect Zone to also knock enemies back and deal an additional devastating blow. As far as Rifle Skills go, this skill deals mediocre... unless the target is below 50% Health - then it starts to shine. You will be using it as a part of your standard DPS rotation
Level 12
CATASTROPHE |
Gunslinger throws a Claymore at the target location and detonates it, dealing high amounts of damage and launching all affected enemies into the air. The main downside of being locked from using Shotgun skills is the lack of Stagger. With this skill, we try to fix that. Use this during Stagger checks.
Level 7
AWAKENING | |
HIGH-CALIBER HE BULLET |
Gunslinger aims at her foe in the front while quickly moving backward and firing a single bullet. The bullet creates a large Rear Blast to inflict massive amounts of Damage to all enemies in the vicinity. This is more consistent than the Eye of Twilight because it lets you hit agile targets easier thanks to its faster attack animation.

Priority List/ Skill Usage
Your main Skill Rotation looks as follows:
Recommended Engravings
This is the core Engraving of this build and we build pretty much everything else around it. It effectively simplifies your rotation and ensures that your attacks land Crits a lot of the time. |
This is simply too good to pass up as it not only gives you Attack Speed for Pistol Skills but also increases your Damage Delt with Rifle Skills (and it does that without any drawbacks). Having this at Level 1 is definitely enough, though, as other combat Engravings offer better boosts at higher levels. |
This Engraving is extremely powerful, but it will punish you if you make a mistake. Gunslinger is very squishy already and this will make her even more susceptible to the incoming damage. Pick it up only if you feel like you can avoid most (or all) avoidable damage during boss encounters. If you're still learning mechanics, you'll be better off skipping it (it's only worth using at Level 3 and becomes necessary for Tier 3 content, anyway). |
Thanks to the sheer number of skills you rotate through with this build, Adrenaline is a perfect choice - you should be able to stack it up with ease. You should have this at Level 2 at least. |
The more Critical Chance you have, the more beneficial this is. If you plan on using it, you should aim for (at least) ~75% Critical Rate. |
This Engraving can increase your overall DPS rather significantly, but the tradeoff is painful. Only pick it if you are able to avoid most of the incoming damage; If you lack experience, skip it. Also, using this at Levels 1 and 2 is not worth the risks involved (so, use it at Level 3 or don't use it at all). |
Most of the Skills you will be using as a Time to Hunt Gunslinger don't have any positional requirements. Because of this, Hit Master is very strong for the build. It effectively gives you the same effect as Cursed Doll, but without the drawback, so you can pick it over the Cursed Doll as a safer option. |
Gear Sets, Gems, Cards, etc.
