Introduction
Scrapper is one of the four currently available Martial Artist Advanced Classes. She shares many similarities with her peers but also offers a lot of unique flavors. If we were to describe Her in one sentence, we'd say that she is an aggressive and mobile but also deliberate and squishy close-range combatant who values offensive power over protection. She has access to two raiding builds, based on two different Class Engravings: Shock Training and Ultimate Skill: Taijutsu. We've based the following build on the latter.
Taijutsu Scrapper's kit mainly consists of Stamina Skills. As a result, she is extremely mobile, can easily react to a rapidly changing situation, and offers some of the best Counter Attack, Stagger, and Part Break potentials in the game. Thanks to the increased Stamina generation, Her Identity Gauge management is extremely simple (there's almost no management at all, actually) and allows for a much more aggressive playstyle. While the range of her attacks is limited, she uses skills that make her move forward which makes sticking close to even the most mobile of targets surprisingly easy, however, this does not fully substitute for the complete lack of ranged skills and narrow skill hitboxes she suffers from.

Stat Priority
Scrapper benefits mostly from Crit Rate, but Swistness is also of use to her. Specialization is a waste because it does not affect Stamina Skills that represent the bulk of this build's skill set. Because of this, you should aim for ~70% Crit/30% Swiftness stat spread. To achieve it, use Crit on all of your Accssories and get a Crit/Swiftness Necklace. Once you reach Tier 3 and get some high-end crit-oriented gear, you can shift your stat distribution a bit more toward Swiftness (50/50 Crit/Swiftness split). If you do so, don't forget to also get the Adrenaline Engraving, as it works very well with high Swiftness and makes the shift actually worth it. |
Skills
DRAGON ADVENT |
Scrapper focuses her Fire energy to leap to the target location within 10 meters of her, attacking enemies for high amounts of Damage and knocking them down. This amazing skill will serve as your gap closer, but not only that - it will also come in handy during Stagger Checks as it deals a lot of Stagger Damage. Moreover, it hits very, very hard, especially for a "mobility" skill. All in all, this is one of the most universal skills in the entire game.

Level 12
|
|
INSTANT HIT |
Scrapper lands a flashing strike on her opponents, inflicting moderate amounts of damage and stunning enemies for 3 seconds. This is your only skill with the Frontal Attack modifier (which makes it a bit awkward to use sometimes) and your Counter Attack. With the Tracking Instinct, the skill also makes you perform a small dash, which will be helpful in some situations (it also makes landing a hit, on a mobile enemy, with it much easier).

Level 12
|
|
EARTHQUAKE CHAIN |
Scrapper stomps the ground, dealing high amounts of Damage to all nearby enemies and knocking them down. This is a solid offensive skill that deals decent Stagger Damage very quickly (especially when paired with the Galewind Rune). It also is one of just a few AoE damage sources you have access to with this build.

Level 12
|
|
BATTERING FISTS |
Scrapper throws a punch to inflict moderate amounts of damage. You can Hold the skill hotkey for up to 1 second to make her launch a flurry of jabs to attack enemies 6 additional times and then dash 2 meters forward, inflicting another hit, followed by a hook that deals high amounts of Damage. This is one of your most powerful offensive moves - you should always try to capitalize on its Back Attack modifier because of this. It deals solid Stagger Damage and gives you Paralysis Immunity for its duration. Moreover, it makes you move forward by a bit which makes landing hits on a mobile enemy much easier.

Level 12

IRON CANNON BLOW |
Scrapper lands an elbow strike that inflicts moderate amounts of damage. Then, she turns around to strike again, inflicting another damaging hit. Use the skill again to make her land powerful punches while she moves slightly forward, inflicting high amounts of damage. This is another one of your powerful "holding" offensive attacks (besides Battering Fists) - you should always try to capitalize on its Back Attack modifier. Thanks to the Quick Preparation Tripod, it has a very low Cooldown.

Level 12
|
|
ROUNDUP SWEEP |
Scrapper throws a diagonal punch to inflict moderate amounts of Damage. This is a specialty skill that we choose to increase the build's Counter Attack potential and Stagger Damage even further. If you play in a static group that already has enough Counter and Stagger sources, you can pick Death Rattle instead.
|
Level 12
|
|
CHARGING BLOW |
Scrapper quickly charges to inflict 3 damaging hits, then, she lands a strike with her gauntlet, inflicting yet another damaging hit. This is a solid mobility skill with an extremely short Cooldown (5 seconds base). Because of it, Taijutsu Scrapper is one of the most nimble Character Builds in the game. Use it to quickly engage, disengage, dodge incoming attacks, and buff yourself with Ready Attack.

Level 10
|
|
JUDGEMENT |
Scrapper leaps into the air and strikes down, inflicting moderate amounts of Damage. Enemies on the ground take an additional damaging hit from this skill and are knocked down. This is your source of team synergy as it applies the Amplified Damage on the target. You should try to maintain this on the boss by using the skill every 8 seconds.

Level 4
|
|
AWAKENING | |
BLAST OF RUINATION |
Scrapper focuses her mind and reinforces her gauntlets to deliver a powerful strike. She gathers the energy in the air onto her gauntlets and thrusts forward. The thrust's power cracks the ground, dispersing an energy wave that reaches as far as 14 meters, knocking enemies back. The Damage of the wave differs depending on the distance it travels: The closer to the wave's starting point, the higher the Damage. This skill deals unbelievably high amounts of Damage when performed from up close. Moreover, it deals A LOT of Stagger Damage and makes you immune to debuffs during its use.

Skill Usage/Rotation
Your opening Skill Rotation looks as follows:

Recommended Engravings
With this, your Stamina recovery rate stops being a problem and you become able to spam Stamina Skills (which also get a solid damage boost from this). You need this Engraving to make the build work, so obtaining it should be your highest priority - you'll need it at Level 3. |
Thanks to the number of spammable Staminal Skills you have access to, Adrenaline is a perfect choice - you should be able to stack it up and maintain it with ease. It will provide you with extra Crit Rate and Attack Power, both of which are extremely valuable to you. All you need at the start is Level 1 of this. |
Grudge is one of the most powerful offensive Engravings, but it comes with a severe drawback that may get you killed. If you can live with the downside, it will serve you as an unconditional damage increase. Taijutsu Scrapper lacks any significant defensive capability, so pick it up if you feel like you can avoid most (or all) avoidable damage during boss encounters. Also, remember that it's only worth using at Level 3, so never use it at level 2 and especially 1 (unless you want to take 5% more damage for every 1% increase in your own DPS). |
This Engraving can boost your offensive power rather significantly, but the tradeoff is painful. Pick it up only if you know encounter mechanics very well, as its downside will hurt too much otherwise; In other words: if you lack encounter experience, skip it. Also, using this at Levels 1 and 2 is not worth the risks involved (so, use it at Level 3 or don't use it at all). |
The more Crit Rate you have, the more powerful this Engraving becomes. As a Taijutsu Scrapper you want to stack Crit Rate, so Keen Blunt Weapon is definitely a solid option. |
Most of the attacks you will be using (5 out of 6) have the Back Attack modifier. Because of this, Master of Ambush Engraving is an excellent choice. Also, it will encourage you to pay more attention to your positioning as missing Back Attacks while you have it active will make you lose even more potential DPS than otherwise. |
