Shock Training Scrapper Lost Ark Build

Shock Training Scrapper Lost Ark Build

A nasty DPS setup that allows you to deal insane damage via slow but deadly Shock Abilities

 Shock Training Scrapper
PvE Raiding Build
for Lost Ark

Last Update: 2nd June 2022

Introduction

As far as Martial Artists go, Scrapper is relatively slow but she makes up for it with the ability to punch way above her weight. She shares many similarities with her peers but also offers a lot of unique flavors, one of these flavors being her Heavy Gauntlets capable of inflicting heavy damage. She can be built, for Raiding, in two different ways, based on Her Class Engravings: Shock TrainingShock Training and Ultimate Skill: TaijutsuUltimate Skill: Taijutsu. We've based the following build on the former.

Shock Training Scrapper makes use of Her Shock Skills to deliver devastating amounts of damage in a very short time. Shock TrainingShock Training Engraving ensures that her Shock Meter regenerates faster and that her Shock Skills hit way harder. Thanks to the nature of her abilities, She excels at Countering and Staggering Her foes. As for the downsides, She lacks any form of damage mitigation/reduction abilities (but she's quite tanky for a Martial Artist) and most of her skills have a very limited range.

Stat Priority

Shock Training Scrapper benefits mostly from Specialization, but Crit Rate is also of use to her. As for Swiftness, it does not provide anywhere near enough benefits to warrant its use. Because of this, you should aim for ~60% Specialization/40% Crit Rate stat spread. To achieve it, use a Ring with Crit Rate, a Necklace with Crit Rate and Specialization, and have Specialization on all your remaining Accessories. A setup like this will ensure that your Shock Skills and your Awakening hit extremely hard.

Skills

ROUNDUP SWEEP
ROUNDUP SWEEP

Scrapper throws a diagonal punch to inflict moderate amounts of Damage.

This is a specialty skill that we choose to ensure that the build's Counter Attack potential and Stagger Damage are on a solid level.

  • Stagger: Low
  • Attack Type: Frontal Attack
  • Counter: Yes

Level 12

  1. [Level I] Swift PreparationSwift Preparation - This gives you up to 83% (at Rank 5) of resetting cooldown with a successful Crit Hit. This can potentially result in a devastating sequence of Counter Attacks or Stagger hits.
  2. [Level II] Madman Madman - Scrapper swings her fists along a 30% longer trajectory to inflict additional Damage equal to 60% (at Rank 5) of Base Damage.
  3. [Level III] Reinforced HitReinforced Hit - Scrapper bends over and punches forward with her fist. A giant fist appears in the back to jab along with her. The skill's Outgoing Damage +58,6% (at Rank 5).
  4. [RUNE] Quick RechargeQuick Recharge - Gives a chance to reduce all Cooldowns on skill use. This is a nice Rune to have on ROUNDUP SWEEPRoundup Sweep because of its short Cooldown.
CHAIN DESTRUCTION FIST
CHAIN DESTRUCTION FIST

Scrapper smashes the ground to shake the earth. She attacks enemies up to 4 times for large amounts of damage. The Damage radius gradually increases from 3 meters to 5 meters with each hit. The last strike will launch enemies in the air.

This powerful skill deals a lot of Damage and will serve you extremely well during Stagger Checks. It has a very long base Cooldown of 30 seconds, though.

  • Weak Point: Level 2
  • Stagger: High
  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity, Push Immunity (from the TenacityTenacity Tripod)

Level 12

  1. [Level I] Endless RageEndless Rage - Quickly attack the earth 8 times with the last strike inflicting +58.6% Damage (at Rank 5). The more you strike, the smaller the increase in AoE Radius. Max AoE Radius +30% while shock energy recovers by 2 each time the attack hits.

  3. [Level III] Shaking GroundShaking Ground - Sharp pillars surge from the ground each time you downward attack. Outgoing Damage +23% (at Rank 5).
  4. [RUNE] GalewindGalewind - Increase the skill's casting speed. With this, the Skill's animation becomes much faster, making it even stronger.
DEATH RATTLE
DEATH RATTLE

Scrapper releases all condensed shock energy, dealing very high amounts of damage and knocking enemies back. Depending on the amount of shock energy stored, different Damage modifiers apply; +15% Damage if Shock Energy is between 0 and 25%, +30% Damage if Shock Energy is between 26% and 50%, +45% Damage if it's between 51% and 75%, and +60% if it's between 75% and 100%.

This is a powerful spender skill that deals unbelievably high amounts of Damage if you use it while above 76% Shock Energy. Moreover, it deals very high Stagger and Weak Point Damage.

  • Weak Point: Level 2
  • Stagger: Mid-High
  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 12

TRUE RISING FIST
TRUE RISING FIST

Scrapper delivers a rising attack forward to inflict moderate amounts of damage twice. You can use the skill again while she's in the air to land at the target location with a smash, dealing high amounts of damage. Damage is increased by 50% against pushed enemies.

This Skill hits very hard and deals a lot of Stagger Damage, which makes it an ideal choice for the build.

  • Stagger: Mid-High
  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 12

  1. [Level I] Refine SkillRefine Skill - Leap twice as you attack, the first time at a shorter height than the second, inflicting +40% Damage (at Rank 5).
  2. [Level II] Objective Hit Objective Hit - Increases the Damage to Push-Immune enemies done by the Upward punch by up to +150% (at Rank 5). This makes the skill hit harder against bosses.
  3. [Level III] Dragon's FuryDragon's Fury - Increases downward strike Damage by up to +140% )(at Rank 5) and increases AoE Radius by 30%.
  4. [RUNE] OverwhelmOverwhelm - A rune that makes the Skill deal +30% Stagger Damage (Legendary Rune). This will help you help your team with stagger checks.
SUPERNOVA
SUPERNOVA

Scrapper blows up the condensed shock energy to deal minor amounts of damage and pull enemies together, then land a finishing blow that deals very high amounts of damage.

This is one of your main Nuke skills. It deals unbelievably high amounts of Damage and offers solid Stagger to boot. Unlike DEATH RATTLEDeath Rattle, your second hard-hitting skill, SUPERNOVASupernova does not require you to build up your Identity Gauge to show its full potential.

  • Stagger: Mid-High
  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 12

  1. [Level I] Quick PreparationQuick Preparation - Reduces the skill's Cooldown by up to -11 seconds (at Rank 5). This amounts to over -1/3 of the skill's base Cooldown, which is a lot.
  2. [Level II] Piercing StrikePiercing Strike - This makes SUPERNOVASupernova ignore up to 60% (at Rank 5) of the enemy's Defense.
  3. [Level III] Spinless HitSpinless Hit - Strengthens the power of shock energy, increasing the skill's Damage by up to +105% (at Rank 5).
  4. [RUNE] GalewindGalewind - Increase the skill's casting speed. With this, the Skill's animation becomes much faster, making it even stronger.
CHARGING BLOW
CHARGING BLOW

Scrapper quickly charges to inflict 3 damaging hits, then, she lands a strike with her gauntlet, inflicting yet another damaging hit.

This is a solid mobility skill with an extremely short Cooldown (5 seconds base). With Focus Focus Engraving, you'll be able to regain quite a lot of Shock Meter with it while dashing around.

  • Weak Point: Level 1
  • Stagger: Low
  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 10

  1. [Level I] Focus Focus - Increases Shock Gain from using the Skill by up to +15 (at Rank 5).

  4. [RUNE] RageRage - Gives you a chance to gain an Attack Speed/Move Speed buff for 6 seconds when CHARGING BLOWCharging Blow is used. This Rune will help you increase the speed of your rotation.
FIERCE TIGER STRIKE
FIERCE TIGER STRIKE

Scrapper delivers 2 swift blows to deal moderate amounts of damage twice, then she knocks enemies down and inflicts another damaging hit on them.

This skill serves two purposes in the build; It's one of your team synergy skills that apply the Damage AmplificationDamage Amplification debuff on your target and it also generates a solid amount of Identity Gauge thanks to the FocusFocus Tripod.

  • Stagger: Low
  • Attack Type: Back Attack

Level 10

  1. [Level I] Amplified Damage Amplified Damage - On hit, increases Damage taken by enemies from all Party Members by +6% for 8 seconds.
  2. [Level II] FocusFocus - Increases Shock Gain from using the Skill by up to +23 (at Rank 5).
  3. [Level III] Rough Smash Rough Smash - Increases the Skills Max Damage based on the number of enemies hit. This is an excellent choice if you want to have a potent trash-clearing skill at your disposal.
  4. [RUNE] Quick RechargeQuick Recharge - Gives a chance to reduce all Cooldowns on skill use. This is a nice Rune to have on FIERCE TIGER STRIKEFierce Tiger Strike because of its short Cooldown.
CRUSHING SMITE
CRUSHING SMITE

Scrapper launches up to 3 shockwaves forward, dealing moderate amounts of Damage.

This skill serves the same purpose as FIERCE TIGER STRIKEFierce Tiger Strike; It generates a lot of Identity Gauge thanks to the FocusFocus Tripod and applies the Damage AmplificationDamage Amplification debuff on your target.

  • Stagger: Mid
  • Attack Type: Back Attack

Level 7

  1. [Level I] Amplified Damage Amplified Damage - On hit, increases Damage taken by enemies from all Party Members by +6% for 8 seconds.
  2. [Level II] FocusFocus - Increases Shock Gain from using the Skill by up to +23 (at Rank 5).
  3. [RUNE] BleedBleed - This Rune makes CRUSHING SMITECrushing Smite inflict all enemies hit with a Bleeding effect for 6 seconds. Thanks to CRUSHING SMITECrushing Smite's relatively low cooldown, Bleed provides a nice boost to DPS.
AWAKENING
BLAST OF RUINATION
BLAST OF RUINATION

Scrapper focuses her mind and reinforces her gauntlets to deliver a powerful strike. She gathers the energy in the air onto her gauntlets and thrusts forward. The thrust's power cracks the ground, dispersing an energy wave that reaches as far as 14 meters, knocking enemies back. The Damage of the wave differs depending on the distance it travels: The closer to the wave's starting point, the higher the Damage.

This skill deals unbelievably high amounts of Damage when performed from up close (you have to be within 3 meters of your target to deal maximum Damage with it). Moreover, it deals A LOT of Stagger Damage and makes you immune to debuffs during its use.

  • Stagger: Highest
  • Supper Armor: Push Immunity, Debuff Immunity

Rotations/ Skill Usage

  • Roundup SweepRoundup Sweep is your Counter Attack.
  • Crushing SmiteCrushing Smite and Fierce Tiger StrikeFierce Tiger Strike are your team synergy Skills, rotate between them to keep the Amplified DamageAmplified Damage debuff active on your Target.
  • Crushing SmiteCrushing Smite and Fierce Tiger StrikeFierce Tiger Strike are also your main Shock Meter replenishing tools.
  • Death RattleDeath Rattle and Supernova Supernova are your nuke Skills.
  • Try to avoid using Death RattleDeath Rattle if your Shock Meter is below 76% capacity to maximize its Damage.

Your Standard DPS rotation looks as follows:

  1. Use Crushing SmiteCrushing Smite to apply Amplified DamageAmplified Damage debuff on your Target
  2. Use Supernova Supernova
  3. Use Charging Blow Charging Blow
  4. Use Death Rattle Death Rattle
  5. Use Fierce Tiger StrikeFierce Tiger Strike to re-apply Amplified DamageAmplified Damage debuff
  6. Use Chain Destruction Fist Chain Destruction Fist
  7. Use True Rising Fist True Rising Fist
  8. Use Crushing SmiteCrushing Smite to re-apply Amplified DamageAmplified Damage debuff

  2. Use True Rising Fist True Rising Fist
  3. Use Supernova Supernova
  4. Use Chain Destruction Fist Chain Destruction Fist

Recommended Engravings

  1. Shock TrainingShock Training (Class Engraving) - Increases Shock Skill Damage by (Level 1: 10%, Level 2: 15%, Level 3: 20%) and provides Shock Energy Recovery equal to (Level 1: 2%, Level 2: 3%, Level 3: 4%) of max Shock Energy every second.

This is the core engraving of the build. It makes your Shock Skills much stronger and gives you a nice boost to the Shock Meter recovery rate. You should have it at Level 3 as fast as possible as the DPC bonus you get from it is unconditional and free of any drawbacks.

  1. GrudgeGrudge - Increases your Damage Dealt to Bosses (Level 1: +4%, Level 2: +10%, Level 3: +20%), but makes you take 20% more damage from them.

Grudge is one of the most powerful offensive Engravings, but it comes with a severe drawback that may get you killed. If you can live with the downside, it will serve you as an unconditional damage increase. Shock Training Scrapper lacks in the defensive utility department, so pick it up if you feel like you can avoid most (or all) avoidable damage during boss encounters. Also, remember that it's only worth using at Level 3, so never use it at level 2 and especially 1 (unless you want to take 5% more damage for every 1% increase in your own DPS).

  1. Cursed DollCursed Doll - Increases Attack Power at the cost of reduced 25% Healing Received (does not affect natural Health recovery (Level 1 - +3% Attack Power, Level 2 - 8% Attack Power, Level 3 - +16% Attack Power).

This Engraving can boost your offensive power rather significantly, but the tradeoff is painful. Pick it up only if you know encounter mechanics very well, as its downside will hurt too much otherwise; In other words: if you lack encounter experience, skip it. Also, using this at Levels 1 and 2 is not worth the risks involved (so, use it at Level 3 or don't use it at all).

  1. Spirit AbsorptionSpirit Absorption - Increases Attack Speed and Movement Speed by (Level 1 - 3%, Level 2 - 8%, Level 3 - 15%).

Shock Training Scrapper is not the most mobile of Classes, so picking this Engraving is an excellent choice. With Spirit AbsorptionSpirit Absorption at Level 3, you'll move significantly quicker and your skill animations will become much faster. In other words, it will make your character much less annoying to play during dynamic encounters.

  1. Ambush MasterAmbush Master - Increases the damage you deal with Back Attacks (Level 1 - +5%, Level 2 - +12%, Level 3 - + 25%). You should get this at Level 3 (which could amount to 25% increased DPS if you're perfect at performing back attacks).

Most of the attacks you will be using have the Back Attack modifier. Because of this, Ambush MasterAmbush Master Engraving is an excellent choice. Also, it will encourage you to pay more attention to your positioning as missing Back Attacks while you have it active will make you lose even more potential DPS than otherwise.

  1. AdrenalineAdrenaline - When using skills other than mobile and basic attacks, attack power increases by (Lv. 1: 0.3%, Lv. 2: 0.6%, Lv. 3: 1%) for 6 seconds (stacks up to 6), and when this effect reaches its maximum stack, critical hit rate increases by an additional (Lv. 1: 5%, Lv. 2: 10%, Lv. 3: 15%). This effect is applied after the skill ends if the cooldown time reduction due to skill cancellation is applied.

While definitely not optimal for a Shock Training Scrapper, Adrenaline is still a decent option. It will provide you with extra Crit Rate and Attack Power, both of which are extremely valuable to you. All you need at the start is Level 1 of this but you'll eventually want it at level 3. You can pick it instead of the Cursed DollCursed Doll, the choice is up to you.

  1. Keen Blunt Weapon Keen Blunt Weapon - Increases your Crit Damage (Level 1: +10%, Level 2: +25%, Level 3: +50%) but also gives your attacks a chance to deal 20% Reduced Damage.

The more Crit Rate you have, the more powerful this Engraving becomes. As a Shock Training Scrapper you want to stack some Crit Rate, so Keen Blunt Weapon Keen Blunt Weapon is definitely a solid option. You can pick this one up instead of Spirit AbsorptionSpirit Absorption if you feel like you don't need extra mobility/dynamics.

Gear Sets, Gems, Cards, etc.

  • Gear Sets - As a DPS Class, Scrapper wants Her set to boost Her offensive capabilities as much as possible. Here are the optimal Sets for each Tier:
    • Tier 1: Seraphic Oath Set (Epic); Boisterous Elemental Set (Legendary)
    • Tier 2: Marvelous Earth Set (Epic); Unyielding Will Set (Legendary)
    • Tier 3: Twisted Dimensional Set (Epic); Preordained Diligence (Legendary)
    • Late Game mixed Set options:
      • Over 1415 GS: Preordained Diligence Set Gloves, Shoulders, and Weapon (Legendary) + Demon Beast Strength Set Chest, Head, and Legs (Legendary)
      • Over 1430 GS: Preordained Diligence Set Legs and Chest (Legendary) + Demon Beast Strength Set Gloves and Shoulders (Legendary) + Earth's Entropy Set Head and Weapon (Relic)
      • Over 1445 GS: Full Earth's Entropy Set (relic); Full Shrieking Hallucination Set (Relic)
  • Gems -  With these, you can apply a Cooldown Reduction or Bonus Damage to your Skills. There is a limit of 11 Gems; you should distribute them in the following way:
    • You should use Cooldown Reduction Gems on the following Skills: True Rising FistTrue Rising Fist, Fierce Tiger StrikeFierce Tiger Strike, Charging BlowCharging BlowChain Destruction FistChain Destruction FistSupernovaSupernovaDeath RattleDeath Rattle
    • You should use Attack Gems on the following Skills: True Rising FistTrue Rising Fist, Chain Destruction FistChain Destruction Fist, SupernovaSupernova, Death RattleDeath Rattle, Roundup Sweep Roundup Sweep
  • Cards - Depending on your budget, you should go for one of the following Card Sets:
    • Light of Salvation Set - A Full set offers +30% Dark Damage Reduction, changes your Damage type to Holy, and increases your Holy Damage dealt by 15%.
    • Lostwind Cliff Set - A Full set offers +25% Dark Damage Reduction and +7% Critical Rate. This one is the cheaper of the recommended two.
