Remaining Energy Deathblade Lost Ark Build

Remaining Energy Deathblade Lost Ark Build

A sneaky assassin set up for Raiding as the Deathblade Class

 Remaining Energy Deathblade
PvE Raiding Build
for Lost Ark

Last Update: 06th May 2022

Introduction

Deathblade is a sneaky Assassin Advanced Class that excels at close quarters combat and prefers rapid and vicious surprise attacks over prolonged engagements. While her defenses are nothing to boast about, she more than makes up for them in the mobility department. Her Identity Gauge is called the "Death Orb Meter". Once she builds it up enough, she can enter the Death TranceDeath Trance that reduces all Cooldowns and gives her access to a new powerful Skill - Blade SurgeBlade Surge. Her playstyle revolves around rapid attacks and quick retreats - She's always on the edge. Deathblade has access to two Class Engravings: SurgeSurge and Remaining EnergyRemaining Energy, the following build focuses on the latter.

Remaining EnergyRemaining Energy grants Deathblade Move Speed, Attack Speed, and Attack Power buffs whenever Blade SurgeBlade Surge is used. Because of this, the following build revolves around building up the Death Orb Meter as quickly and as often as possible to maximize the benefits gained from entering Death TranceDeath Trance and using Blade SurgeBlade Surge

Stat Priority

The Remaining Energy Deathblade requires extra Death Orb Meter generation to increase her Sustained Damage. Because of this, She benefits from high amounts of Specialization very much. In an ideal case, you'd want to have enough Specialization to be able to generate 3 Death Orbs in a single Skill Rotation. Another important stat is Crit, but it shouldn't come before Spec.

  • In general, you want to have Specialization on all of your Accessories and support it with Crit from your Necklace. Your ultimate aim is to have ~1600 Specialization, but ~900 is enough to generate 3 Death Orbs in a single Skill Rotation.

Skills

SOUL ABSORBER
SOUL ABSORBER

Deathblade charges to deliver a powerful thrust to inflict moderate damage before being fully Charged, and high damage when overcharged.

SOUL ABSORBERSoul Absorber is a great Dark Orb Meter Generator, which makes it perfect for the build. With the selected Tripods, it charges up much faster and deals increased damage with higher reliability.

  • Weak Point: Level 1
  • Stagger: Mid
  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 12

  1. [Level I] Swift Fingers Swift Fingers - Increases the Preparation and charge speed by up to 36% (at Rank 5). You should pick this Tripod to minimize Soul Absorber's animation time and smooth out your rotation.
  2. [Level II] Fist of Darkness Fist of Darkness - Changes Soul Absorber's Damage to Dark and increases the outgoing damage by up to +60% (at Rank 5).
  3. [Level III] Halve Halve - Instead of throwing foes away with the Overcharged stabbing attack, you move in the cursor's direction after the attack and slash at enemies, knocking them away. Damage inflicted up to +144.0% (at Rank 5). This provides a high damage increase to the skill.
  4. [RUNE] WealthWealth - With this Rune, your Death Orb Meter gain from using the ability will be increased by another 30% (Epic Rune). This is a rather significant buff to your Death Orb generation capabilities.
MOONLIGHT SONIC
MOONLIGHT SONIC

Deathblade performs a sweeping slash in front of her to deal high amounts of Damage and pull enemies closer.

This is a solid offensive skill that charges your Identity Gauge very well. It has a rather long base Cooldown, but Deathblade's Cooldown reduction can reduce it significantly.

  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 12

  1. [Level I] Fist of Darkness Fist of Darkness - Changes Moonlight Sonic's Damage to Dark and increases the outgoing damage by up to +40% (at Rank 5).
  2. [Level II] Sustain Enhancement Sustain Enhancement - Changes the skill to Holding Mode, doubling its Duration but also increasing the total outgoing Damage by up to +150% (at Rank 5).
  3. [Level III] Shade Sonic Shade Sonic - Makes the Skill attack faster and increases its damage by up to +105% (at Rank 5).
  4. [RUNE] WealthWealth - With this Rune, your Death Orb Meter gain from using the ability will be increased by another 30% (Epic Rune). This is a rather significant buff to your Death Orb generation capabilities.
BLITZ RUSH
BLITZ RUSH

Deathblade charges the skill to move 5 meters forward before attacking her enemies. Using the skill uncharged results in a dual-blade attack that deals moderate damage. Charging it to stage 1 makes it inflict high damage, and overcharging it results in high damage hit followed by an additional longsword slash that causes extra damage and knocks enemies away.

This is one of the strongest offensive skills Deathblade has in Her arsenal. You will be using it as one of your main damage sources. Also, it's good at generating the Death Orb Meter.

  • Stagger: Mid
  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 12

  1. [Level I] Vital Point Hit Vital Point Hit - Increases the skill's Critical Rate by up to +40% (at Rank 5). With this, BLITZ RUSHBlitz Rush should Crit a lot of the time.
  2. [Level II] Charge Enhancement Charge Enhancement - Increases outgoing damage per charge level. With this Tripod, you'll want to fully charge up Blitz Rush whenever possible (it gives up to +35% damage per charge level, which is massive).
  3. [Level III] Shadow Rush Shadow Rush -  An afterimage attacks instead of you, inflicting +40.0% Damage. Excellent Mobility will not be applied. This Tripod makes Blitz Rush much more convenient to use.
  4. [RUNE] GalewindGalewind - Increase the skill's casting speed. With this, the skill's animation lock becomes more manageable.
VOID STRIKE
VOID STRIKE

This Skill has two modes. If Deathblade charges it and releases the key midway, it performs an upper slash with Her longsword to inflict moderate damage and launch enemies into the air. If she Overcharges it, the skill will push enemies back, inflicting high amounts of damage and launching them even higher into the air.

To simplify the skill bit and make it more convenient to use, you can pick up the Dark DimensionDark Dimension Tripod, but we don't recommend it as the build relies on Charging Skills. Just like Soul Absorber and Blitz Rush, Void Strike is great at generating Death Orb Meter.

  • Stagger: Mid
  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 12

  1. [Level I] Orb Control Orb Control - Increases Death Orb Meter from the skill by up to +75% (at Rank 5). This solidifies Void Strike as one of the best Dark Orb Meter generators at Deathblade's disposal.
  2. [Level II] Void Zone Fist of Darkness - Changes Void Strike's Damage to Dark and increases the outgoing damage by up to +60% (at Rank 5).
  3. [Level III] Dark Explosion Dark Explosion - The Overcharged attack triggers a time-delayed Dark Explosion after a while, launching its targets again in the air and dealing additional 105% Skill Damage (at Rank 5).
  4. [RUNE] WealthWealth -  With this Rune, your Death Orb Meter gain from using the ability will be increased by up to another 40% (with a Legendary Rune). This is a rather significant buff to your Death Orb generation capabilities.
EARTH CLEAVER
EARTH CLEAVER

Deathblade performs a powerful vertical slash with her Longsword to inflict high amounts of damage and slam enemies onto the ground.

This is your Counter Skill. Thanks to the PushPush Tripod, it also serves as a gap closer/mobility skill but its range is rather limited.

  • Weak Point: Level 1
  • Stagger: Mid
  • Attack Type: Frontal Attack, Back Attack
  • Counter: Yes

Level 11

  1. [Level I] Push Push - Before attacking, charge 4 meters forward, pushing enemies. Damage +40.1% (at Rank 5). This adds a nice movement component to the skill, making it more versatile.
  2. [Level II] Weak Point Enhancement Weak Point Enhancement  - Damage to Push-Immune foes +70.0% (at Rank 5). With this, Earth Cleaver will deal much more damage to Bosses.
  3. [Level III] Earth Explosion Earth Explosion - After the attack, advancing columns of energy are shot through the ground, knocking enemies away with patches of earth. Damage inflicted up to +129.6% (at Rank 5).
  4. [RUNE] OverwhelmOverwhelm - A rune that makes the Skill deal up to +30% Stagger Damage (with a Legendary Rune). This will help you help your team with stagger checks.
SPINCUTTER
SPINCUTTER

Deathblade spins towards the target location, moving X meters and inflicting relatively high damage. Spincutter has 2 charges, which means that it can be used up to two times in a row.

This is one of your team synergy skills: With the Open WeaknessOpen Weakness Tripod, it applies a powerful debuff that increases the target's damage taken - you should try to keep this effect active at all times. Also, it serves as a solid gap closer/mobility tool.

  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 10

  1. [Level I] Open Weakness Open Weakness - With this Tripod active, Spincutter applies the Open Weakness debuff to the target, increasing the target's damage taken from all party members by 3% (from the front) or 9% (from the back). The debuff lasts for 10 seconds. This mostly rewards back attacks, but frontal attacks still benefit from it to some extent.
  2. [Level II] Quick Preparation Quick Preparation  - Reduces the cooldown of Spincutter by up to -5 seconds (at Rank 5). While this isn't needed to increase the debuff uptime, it will let you use Spincutter as a mobility tool more often.
  3. [Level III] Triple Spin Triple Spin - With this Tripod, Spincutter becomes usable 3 times in a row (instead of 2 times). This makes Spincutter much better as a mobility skill.
  4. [RUNE] Quick RechargeQuick Recharge - Gives a chance to reduce all Cooldowns on skill use. This rune works very well with Spincutter's charge system (you get 3 chances to reduce cooldowns instead of 1, basically).
DARK AXEL
DARK AXEL

Deathblade jumps 6 meters forward, pushing enemies back and inflicting moderate amounts of damage. Upon landing, she delivers a powerful longsword slash, inflicting yet more damage and knocking enemies away. Pushed enemies are launched back into the air.

Thanks to the High AxelHigh Axel Tripod, this skill will serve as your main repositioning tool - you can use it to jump over Bosses to strike them from the back.

  • Stagger: Low
  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 10

  1. [Level I] Swift Fingers Swift Fingers - Increases the Attack Speed of Dark Axel by up to 27%. With this, you can reposition quicker.
  2. [Level II] Tenacity Tenacity  - Grants Push Immunity during the aerial attack. This ensures that you land where you intended to.
  3. [Level III] High Axel High Axel - Move Distance +4 meters. Removes the last longsword attack. Enables a higher jump, able to go over Guardian foes. Sets Corkscrew‘s additional move distance to 2 meters. This is a game-changer for the skill as it allows you to reposition much more easily during Boss encounters.
  4. [RUNE] ProtectionProtection - With this Rune, you'll receive 8% of your Max HP (with an Epic Rune) as a Shield while casting Dark Axel. This is quite important, as it gives you some much-needed survivability.
MAELSTROM
MAELSTROM

Deathblade creates a tornado that protects her and inflicts low amounts of damage. The tornado lasts for 6 seconds, inflicting damage over time, to all nearby enemies, for the duration.

This is another team synergy skill: it increases Attack Speed for all Party members. Also, it increases your Death Orb Meter gain for a short time, which is great.

Level 7

  1. [Level I] Orb Control Orb Control - During the Maelstrom buff, Death Orb Meter gains +30.0% (at Rank 5) when hitting with Normal and Awakening skills.
  2. [Level II] Dark Order  Dark Order  - On skill use, Move Speed +19.8% for all party members within 24 meters for 6.0s. Adds the Dark Order buff of Attack Speed +25%. This turns Maelstrom into a solid team synergy skill.
  3. [RUNE] FocusFocus - This Rune lowers the skill's Mana consumption by quite a lot, making it much more cost-effective.
AWAKENING
FLASH BLINK
FLASH BLINK

Deathblade dashes 12 meters toward the target location, cutting through enemies with all her swords. Enemies caught in the attack receive high amounts of damage at the moment of impact and get launched in the air for an additional damaging hit.

FLASH BLINKFlash Blink generates a solid amount of Death Orb Meter and has a relatively quick animation when compared to Blade AssaultBlade Assault, which makes it a more reliable and versatile choice than the latter. Moreover, it allows you to phase through enemies (even Guardians) which makes it extremely useful for repositioning/dodging attacks through bosses.

  • Weak Point: Level 3
  • Super Armor: Push Immunity, Debuff Immunity

Priority List/ Skill Usage

Remaining Energy Deathblade's rotation revolves around quickly gaining 3 Death Orbs, enabling Death TranceDeath Trance, and unleashing Blade SurgeBlade Surge for a massive Attack Speed, Move Speed, and Attack Power buff.

  • Make sure that you are behind the boss before you begin your main rotation (you get a +10% Crit Rate buff when attacking from behind). DARK AXELDark Axel should help you with this. FLASH BLINKFlash Blink can also be used to get behind the boss if needed.
  • SpincutterSpincutter, DARK AXELDark Axel, and Earth CleaverEarth Cleaver can all be used as mobility tools.
  • If you can't generate 3 Death Orbs with a single Skill Rotation yet, don't hesitate to enter Death TranceDeath Trance at 2 Orbs. Doing so will reduce your Cooldowns by 30% instead of 50%, but it will also prevent downtime.
  • Blade SurgeBlade Surge generates some Death Orb Meter, so you can enter Death TranceDeath Trance when your 3rd Orb is only partially filled and use it to fill it up to max (you'll receive the 3rd tier buff from Remaining EnergyRemaining Energy anyway and smooth out the rotation in the process). You can do the same if you end up with your 2nd Orb partially filled, as well.

Your main DPS Rotation looks as follows:

  1. Use Spincutter Spincutter to apply its debuff
  2. Use MaelstromMaelstrom to improve your Death Orb generation
  3. Use Soul AbsorberSoul Absorber
  4. Use Blitz RushBlitz Rush
  5. Use Earth CleaverEarth Cleaver
  6. Use Void Strike
  7. Use Moonlight Sonic
  8. Enter Death TranceDeath Trance at 2 or 3 Death Orbs and Use Blade SurgeBlade Surge
  9. Rinse and Repeat

Recommended Engravings

  1. Remaining EnergyRemaining Energy (Class Engraving) - Art Does not consume Art Meter for 2 seconds when activated. Your Attack Speed and Move Speed are increased by (Level 1: 6%, Level 2: 9%, Level 3: 12%), and your Attack Power is increased by (Level 1: 8%, 16%, 25%; Level 2: 10%, 20%, 30%; Level 3: 12%, 24%, 36%) depending on your Surge level, for 30 seconds, when you use Blade Surge.

This is the core Engraving of this build and pretty much everything else is built around it. It is extremely efficient at Level 1, so you should boost all of your other offensive Engravings to desired levels before bumping this one to level 3.

  1. Super Charge Super Charge - Increases the Charging Speed and Damage of Charging Skills (Level 1: +8% Speed, +4% Damage; Level 2: +20% Speed, +10% Damage; Level 3: +40% Speed, +20% Damage).

As the description suggests, this Engraving will make your charging skills better, so using it will improve your SOUL ABSORBERSoul Absorber, VOID STRIKEVoid Strike, and BLITZ RUSHBlitz Rush. You rely on these skills very much, so you have this Engraving at Level 3.

  1. Master of AmbushAmbush Master  - Increases the damage you deal with Back Attacks (Level 1 - +5%, Level 2 - +12%, Level 3 - + 25%). You should get this at Level 3 (which could amount to 25% increased DPS if you're perfect at performing back attacks).

Most of the attacks you will be using have the Back Attack modifier. Because of this, Master of AmbushAmbush Master Engraving is an excellent choice. Also, it will encourage you to pay more attention to your positioning as missing Back Attacks while you have it active will make you lose even more potential DPS than otherwise.

  1. GrudgeGrudge - Increases your Damage Dealt to Bosses (Level 1: +4%, Level 2: +10%, Level 3: +20%), but makes you take 20% more damage from them.

Grudge is one of the most powerful offensive Engravings, but it comes with a severe drawback that may get you killed. With Grudge, all incoming attacks become 20% more lethal. Remaining Energy Deathblade mostly relies on mobility for its defenses, so pick it up if you feel like you can avoid most (or all) avoidable damage during boss encounters. Also, remember that it's only worth using at Level 3, so never use it at level 2 and especially 1 (unless you want to take 5% more damage for every 1% increase in your own DPS).

  1. Cursed DollCursed Doll - Increases Attack Power at the cost of reduced 25% Healing Received (does not affect natural Health recovery (Level 1 - +3% Attack Power, Level 2 - 8% Attack Power, Level 3 - +16% Attack Power).

This Engraving can boost your offensive power rather significantly, but the tradeoff is painful. Only pick it if you know encounter mechanics very well; If you lack experience, skip it. Also, using this at Levels 1 and 2 is not worth the risks involved (so, use it at Level 3 or don't use it at all).

  1. AdrenalineAdrenaline - When using skills other than mobile and basic attacks, attack power increases by (Lv. 1: 0.3%, Lv. 2: 0.6%, Lv. 3: 1%) for 6 seconds (stacks up to 6), and when this effect reaches its maximum stack, critical hit rate increases by an additional (Lv. 1: 5%, Lv. 2: 10%, Lv. 3: 15%). This effect is applied after the skill ends if the cooldown time reduction due to skill cancellation is applied.

Remaining Energy Deathblade has very low Cooldowns and they effectively get even lower as you stack more and more Specialization. This means that stacking and maintaining Adrenaline is easy. Having this at level 3 is definitely not a bad idea (you can run it instead of Master of AmbushAmbush Master, for example).

  1. Keen Blunt Weapon Keen Blunt Weapon - Increases your Crit Damage (Level 1: +10%, Level 2: +25%, Level 3: +50%) but also gives your attacks a chance to deal 20% Reduced Damage.

The more Crit Rate you have, the more powerful this Engraving becomes. As a Remaining Energy Deathblade, you rely on Specialization, and Crit Rate comes second, however, Keen Blunt Weapon Keen Blunt Weapon can still be a viable option.

Gear Sets, Gems, Cards, etc.

  • Gear Sets - As a DPS Class, Remaining Energy Deathblade wants Her set to boost Her offensive capabilities as much as possible. Here are the optimal Sets for each Tier:
    • Tier 1: Seraphic Oath Set (Epic); Boisterous Elemental Set (Legendary)
    • Tier 2: Marvelous Earth Set (Epic); Unyielding Will Set (Legendary)
    • Tier 3: Twisted Dimensional Set (Epic); Preordained Diligence (Legendary)
  • Gems -  With these, you can apply a Cooldown Reduction or Bonus Damage to your Skills. There is a limit of 11 Gems; you should distribute them in the following way:
    • You should use Cooldown Reduction Gems on the following Skills: MaelstromMaelstrom, Void StrikeVoid Strike, Blitz RushBlitz Rush, Moonlight SonicMoonlight Sonic, Soul AbsorberSoul Absorber, SpincutterSpincutter
    • You should use Attack Gems on the following Skills: Soul AbsorberSoul AbsorberVoid StrikeVoid Strike,  Blitz RushBlitz RushMoonlight SonicMoonlight Sonic, Blade SurgeBlade Surge
  • Cards - Depending on your budget, you should go for one of the following Card Sets:
    • Light of Salvation Set - A Full set offers +30% Dark Damage Reduction, changes your Damage type to Holy, and increases your Holy Damage dealt by 15%. This is the most powerful option.
    • Thre Umar Families Set - A Full set offers -7.5% Damage from Guardians during Guardian Raids, +12% Back Attack Damage to Enemies, -5% Elemental Damage Received, +2% Elemental Damage Dealt, a chance to gain +24% Elemental Damage dealt for 8 seconds after a successful attack. This Set works very well on a Deathblade.
    • Lostwind Cliff Set - A Full set offers +25% Dark Damage Reduction and +7% Critical Rate. This one is the cheapest of the recommended three.
