Introduction
Deathblade is a sneaky Assassin Advanced Class that excels at close quarters combat and prefers rapid and vicious surprise attacks over prolonged engagements. While her defenses are nothing to boast about, she more than makes up for them in the mobility department. Her Identity Gauge is called the "Death Orb Meter". Once she builds it up enough, she can enter the Death Trance that reduces all Cooldowns and gives her access to a new powerful Skill - Blade Surge. Her playstyle revolves around rapid attacks and quick retreats - She's always on the edge. Deathblade has access to two Class Engravings: Surge and Remaining Energy, the following build focuses on the latter.
Remaining Energy grants Deathblade Move Speed, Attack Speed, and Attack Power buffs whenever Blade Surge is used. Because of this, the following build revolves around building up the Death Orb Meter as quickly and as often as possible to maximize the benefits gained from entering Death Trance and using Blade Surge.

Pros | Cons |
High Sustained DPS | Lacks Burst Damage |
Solid Team Synergy | Back Attack Reliant |
Great Mobility | Relatively low Defenses |
Low Cooldowns | Unforgiving - Missing with Skills is a major pitfall for the build |

Stat Priority
The Remaining Energy Deathblade requires extra Death Orb Meter generation to increase her Sustained Damage. Because of this, She benefits from high amounts of Specialization very much. In an ideal case, you'd want to have enough Specialization to be able to generate 3 Death Orbs in a single Skill Rotation. Another important stat is Crit, but it shouldn't come before Spec.

Skills
SOUL ABSORBER |
Deathblade charges to deliver a powerful thrust to inflict moderate damage before being fully Charged, and high damage when overcharged. Soul Absorber is a great Dark Orb Meter Generator, which makes it perfect for the build. With the selected Tripods, it charges up much faster and deals increased damage with higher reliability.

MOONLIGHT SONIC |
Deathblade performs a sweeping slash in front of her to deal high amounts of Damage and pull enemies closer. This is a solid offensive skill that charges your Identity Gauge very well. It has a rather long base Cooldown, but Deathblade's Cooldown reduction can reduce it significantly.

BLITZ RUSH |
Deathblade charges the skill to move 5 meters forward before attacking her enemies. Using the skill uncharged results in a dual-blade attack that deals moderate damage. Charging it to stage 1 makes it inflict high damage, and overcharging it results in high damage hit followed by an additional longsword slash that causes extra damage and knocks enemies away. This is one of the strongest offensive skills Deathblade has in Her arsenal. You will be using it as one of your main damage sources. Also, it's good at generating the Death Orb Meter.

VOID STRIKE |
This Skill has two modes. If Deathblade charges it and releases the key midway, it performs an upper slash with Her longsword to inflict moderate damage and launch enemies into the air. If she Overcharges it, the skill will push enemies back, inflicting high amounts of damage and launching them even higher into the air. To simplify the skill bit and make it more convenient to use, you can pick up the Dark Dimension Tripod, but we don't recommend it as the build relies on Charging Skills. Just like Soul Absorber and Blitz Rush, Void Strike is great at generating Death Orb Meter.

|
EARTH CLEAVER |
Deathblade performs a powerful vertical slash with her Longsword to inflict high amounts of damage and slam enemies onto the ground. This is your Counter Skill. Thanks to the Push Tripod, it also serves as a gap closer/mobility skill but its range is rather limited.
|
Level 11
|
|
SPINCUTTER |
Deathblade spins towards the target location, moving X meters and inflicting relatively high damage. Spincutter has 2 charges, which means that it can be used up to two times in a row. This is one of your team synergy skills: With the Open Weakness Tripod, it applies a powerful debuff that increases the target's damage taken - you should try to keep this effect active at all times. Also, it serves as a solid gap closer/mobility tool.

Level 10

|
DARK AXEL |
Deathblade jumps 6 meters forward, pushing enemies back and inflicting moderate amounts of damage. Upon landing, she delivers a powerful longsword slash, inflicting yet more damage and knocking enemies away. Pushed enemies are launched back into the air. Thanks to the High Axel Tripod, this skill will serve as your main repositioning tool - you can use it to jump over Bosses to strike them from the back.

Level 10

|
MAELSTROM |
Deathblade creates a tornado that protects her and inflicts low amounts of damage. The tornado lasts for 6 seconds, inflicting damage over time, to all nearby enemies, for the duration. This is another team synergy skill: it increases Attack Speed for all Party members. Also, it increases your Death Orb Meter gain for a short time, which is great. |
Level 7

AWAKENING | |
FLASH BLINK |
Deathblade dashes 12 meters toward the target location, cutting through enemies with all her swords. Enemies caught in the attack receive high amounts of damage at the moment of impact and get launched in the air for an additional damaging hit. Flash Blink generates a solid amount of Death Orb Meter and has a relatively quick animation when compared to Blade Assault, which makes it a more reliable and versatile choice than the latter. Moreover, it allows you to phase through enemies (even Guardians) which makes it extremely useful for repositioning/dodging attacks through bosses.

Priority List/ Skill Usage
Remaining Energy Deathblade's rotation revolves around quickly gaining 3 Death Orbs, enabling Death Trance, and unleashing Blade Surge for a massive Attack Speed, Move Speed, and Attack Power buff.
Your main DPS Rotation looks as follows:

Recommended Engravings
This is the core Engraving of this build and pretty much everything else is built around it. It is extremely efficient at Level 1, so you should boost all of your other offensive Engravings to desired levels before bumping this one to level 3. |
As the description suggests, this Engraving will make your charging skills better, so using it will improve your Soul Absorber, Void Strike, and Blitz Rush. You rely on these skills very much, so you have this Engraving at Level 3. |
Most of the attacks you will be using have the Back Attack modifier. Because of this, Ambush Master Engraving is an excellent choice. Also, it will encourage you to pay more attention to your positioning as missing Back Attacks while you have it active will make you lose even more potential DPS than otherwise. |
Grudge is one of the most powerful offensive Engravings, but it comes with a severe drawback that may get you killed. With Grudge, all incoming attacks become 20% more lethal. Remaining Energy Deathblade mostly relies on mobility for its defenses, so pick it up if you feel like you can avoid most (or all) avoidable damage during boss encounters. Also, remember that it's only worth using at Level 3, so never use it at level 2 and especially 1 (unless you want to take 5% more damage for every 1% increase in your own DPS). |
This Engraving can boost your offensive power rather significantly, but the tradeoff is painful. Only pick it if you know encounter mechanics very well; If you lack experience, skip it. Also, using this at Levels 1 and 2 is not worth the risks involved (so, use it at Level 3 or don't use it at all). |
Remaining Energy Deathblade has very low Cooldowns and they effectively get even lower as you stack more and more Specialization. This means that stacking and maintaining Adrenaline is easy. Having this at level 3 is definitely not a bad idea (you can run it instead of Ambush Master, for example). |
The more Crit Rate you have, the more powerful this Engraving becomes. As a Remaining Energy Deathblade, you rely on Specialization, and Crit Rate comes second, however, Keen Blunt Weapon can still be a viable option. |
Gear Sets, Gems, Cards, etc.
