Introduction
Sorceress is one of the most popular advanced Classes in Lost Ark, and for a good reason. She offers an awesome mix of flashy and impactful spells, high DPS, engaging gameplay, and something nice to look at (let's not kid ourselves, this plays a big part in the Class's popularity). There are two main Sorceress builds, based on her Class Engravings - Reflux and Igniter. Today, we're going to take a closer look at the former.
The Reflux Sorceress excels at dealing consistent damage with minimal downtime and does not have to rely on her Identity Gauge to do so. She can deal her damage whenever she wants to, without relying on burst windows and proper timing. Thanks to the low Identity Gauge reliance, Reflux Sorceress is also very mobile as she can Blink without hurting her damage output. As a result, she is easier to play, more forgiving, and much more mobile than the Igniter variant.

Stat Priority
As a Reflux Sorceress, you want to focus on Critical and Swiftness. Of these two stats, Crit is more valuable as it makes your DPS more reliable and it works great with Critical Damage Tripods we recommend you take. Swiftness, on the other hand, can be substituted with Blink to some extent, however, Blink won't always be available and the lack of overall mobility might feel painful. Try to balance these two stats - take as little Swiftness as you're comfortable with (the better you are at following Raid mechanics, the less Swiftness you'll effectively need). |
Skills
BLAZE |
Sorceress conjures a rectangular flame forward, scorching enemies for moderate amounts of damage and paralyzing them. Enemies are also set on Fire for 5 seconds and receive minor periodic damage for the duration. With the Damage Amplification Tripod, this becomes your main Team Synergy Skill that offers +6% Damage to foes from all Group members with almost 100% potential uptime. |

SERAPHIC HAIL |
Sorceress creates a huge wave that covers enemies in front of her and inflicts high amounts of Water Damage. If an enemy is in the air while the weave approaches, it will be launched up again on hit. This is a solid offensive spell that deals Stagger Damage, but it suffers from a rather limited range - you'll have to close your distance before using it, which can be somewhat dangerous.

FROST'S CALL |
Sorceress causes a Cold Snap at the cursor location within 12 meters of herself, dealing high amounts of Water Damage to enemies split into 9 hits that occur over 4 seconds period. This is a solid ground-based offensive spell that deals solid Stagger Damage and can be used from a relatively safe distance. With Unstable Rule Tripod, it also doesn't hurt your mobility as much.

PUNISHING STRIKE |
Sorceress calls forth a giant Thunderstroke at the cursor location within 16 meters, dealing high amounts of Lightning Damage to all nearby enemies. This spell is your strongest regular damage source that is also great for Stagger Checks. It can also be used from a long distance of 16 meters, which makes it relatively safe to cast (especially with the Unavoidable Fate Tripod that changes it to Normal mode).

INFERNO |
Sorceress creates a pillar of flame at the cursor location within 14 meters, dealing high amounts of Fire Damage to all foes in range. The flame eruption also knocks enemies into the air. This is a nice offensive addition to your kit as it can stack up to two times. Inferno lets you bump up your DPS by quite a bit, however, if you feel like you need a Counter Skill, you should use Squall instead.

Level 10
|
|
REVERSE GRAVITY |
Sorceress creates an Earth Rift Magic Circle on the spot, reversing the gravitational pull in the location. All affected enemies are knocked into the air and then rapidly pulled back down, receiving high amounts of damage in the process. This is a solid offensive spell that suffers a bit from a limited range, a bit like the Seraphic Hail does - you should try to cast these two spells one after the other to minimize unnecessary movement.

Level 10
|
|
RIME ARROW |
Sorceress creates multiple Ice Arrows at the cursor location within 14 meters of herself. The Arrows deal high amounts of Water Damage to all enemies who find themselves in range. You'll be using this spell mainly to cancel the long animation of your Punishing Strike. In other words, always use Rime Arrow after the Punishing Strike to smooth out the rotation.

ESOTERIC REACTION |
Sorceress creates a Magick Crystal within 12 meters of cursor location. The Crystal evolves by levels up to level 3, at which point it detonates, dealing high amounts of damage to all nearby enemies knocking them back in the process. This is a powerful offensive spell with a high range - you can use it from a relatively safe distance. |

AWAKENING | |
ENVISKA'S MIGHT |
Sorceress releases lightning energy from her rod, inflicting moderate amounts of damage to enemies. Then, she pulls the released energy back to the center, dealing multiple devastating hits to all enemies in range. After that, she gathers up the enemies in one spot to cause a massive explosion that deals very high amounts of Lightning Damage. This is an extremely powerful, multi-hit, nuke spell that can turn any encounter in your favor. You should always discuss its use with your teammates as wasting it is a huge pitfall that should be avoided at all costs.

Skill Usage/Rotations
As for Reflux Sorceress's rotation... You should start with debuffing your Target with Blaze and then simply cast everything on Cooldown, as you won't ever run out of spells to cast. By doing so, you'll deal very high sustained damage without worrying about burst windows too much. |
Recommended Engravings
This is the Core Engraving of the featured build. It gives a solid Damage and Cooldown Reduction boost across the board, but it prevents you from using Arcane Rupture (which is a low price to pay). Thanks to this Engraving, Sorceress is one of the most versatile and consistent damage dealers in Lost Ark. |
This amazing Engraving makes your Critical Strikes much more consistent and it's well worth the drawback (which is more than made up to by Critical Damage-increasing Tripods we take across the board). |
This engraving works exceptionally well for a Reflux Sorceress as She benefits from increased Crit very much (thanks to Crit Damage Tripods). This Engraving has no drawbacks and is relatively easy to maintain once you gear up. |
This Engraving is extremely powerful, but it will punish you if you make a mistake. Pick it up only if you feel like you can avoid most (or all) avoidable damage during boss encounters. We advise inexperienced players to skip this one. Also, this is a BiS Engraving for Tier 3 content. Also, also, it's only worth using at Levels 2 and 3. |
Sorceress Skills don't have Back or Front attack modifiers which makes this Engraving very strong for the build. It effectively gives you the same effect as Cursed Doll, but without the drawback. |
This Engraving is very powerful and very dangerous to its user, just like Grudge. Only pick it if you know encounter mechanics very well. If you lack experience, skip it. Also, using this at Levels 1 and 2 is not worth the risks involved (so, use it at Level 3 or don't use it at all). |
This is a niche engraving that's used only on the "casting" variant of the build. If you're using Spells like Explosion and Doomsday on your Reflux Sorceress, you might want to consider this one. |
Gear Sets, Gems, Cards, etc.
