Raging Spirits are short-lived Minions that you can summon up to 10 of, but they always Reserve the same amount of Spirit no matter how many of them you have at a time. It's a Tier 4 Persistent Skill, a buff. To summon Raging Spirits you have to Hit an enemy with a Fire Projectile Spell or Cast a Fire Area Spell. We will do the latter because it's trivial to summon them with a Flame Wall linked to the Fortress Support. In this build, they'll explode. Link them to Infernal Legion and Minion Instability. You're able to rapidly re-summon them so it's not a big deal.
As your Spirits deal Fire Damage, you will also include other Fire Damage Minions to benefit from Flammability and Fire Damage bonuses for Minions. Get Hellhound, to tank damage and apply Fire Exposure, and Skeletal Arsonists, purely for more consistent damage. All these Minions Attack; they don't Cast Spells, so it's important to give them Attack Speed and Accuracy. Maximum Life is crucial as well as without Minion Life nodes they'll simply die too fast. You can also put one Skeletal Cleric to revive Arsonists, or one Skeletal Storm Mage to create Shocked Ground.
At this moment, the Infernalist is the most favorable pick. It has the Hellhound and Altered Flesh, both of which boost your survivability significantly. For your third ascendancy, you may either get increased Maximum Life via small nodes, or Reserve your Life to gain more Spirit with Beidat's Will. It's up to you.

Cast Flame Wall to summon Raging Spirits. Skeletal Minions will do their own thing so pay no mind to them. During boss fights, cast Pain Offering for increased Attack Speed and Damage for your Minions, and Flammability Curse to lower Fire Resistance. It's a simple build so there are no more Skills to be used.

PROS |
|
CONS |
|
You should start with minions right away. Pick whatever it's available, and then switch to RS and Arsonists. You can get them in the first Act. On your Skill tree just go for the Minion Life and Minion Damage, or Attack Damage to be more precise. They will die a lot so make sure their Maximum Life and Resistances are high.

Raging Spirits - Reserve 30 Spirit to summon Raging Spirits whenever you cast a Flame Wall. Their purpose is to quickly explode.
Minion Instability - Minions will explode on reaching Low Life.
Infernal Legion - Spirits take Fire Damage over time which damages nearby enemies. It causes them to explode faster.
Feeding Frenzy - More Minion Damage, but less Minion Life.
Elemental Focus - Raging Spirits are unable to Ignite, but in turn, deal more Elemental Damage.
Fire Mastery - An additional Gem Level for Raging Spirits. |
[DPS] Skeletal Arsonist setup
Skeletal Arsonist - Summon Arsonists or more Fire Damage. They're good against slow and big targets.
Magnified Effect - Increased Area of Effect for Arsonists' projectile explosions.
Scattershot - Arsonists can hit the same enemy multiple times if projectiles' AoE from their single attack overlap.
Fire Penetration - Hit Damage Penetrates a big chunk of Fire Resistance.
Last Gasp - Minions are still alive for the next 4 seconds after their Life is reduced to 0, which is very helpful in certain situations.
Minion Mastery - An additional Gem Level for Skeletal Arsonist. |
[UTILITY] Flame Wall setup
Flame Wall - Cast it to summon Raging Spirits. It also boosts Arsosnists' damage.

Fire Exposure - Hellhound Exposes to Fire on Ignite, which reduces Fire Resistance. It Ignites nearby enemies.
Wildfire - Ignite spreads to nearby enemies making clearing maps easier.
Strip Away - It increases the effect of Exposure by 30%. You can swap it with Wildfire if you plan to fight bosses, having 5 sockets here seems redundant. |
[UTILITY] Flammability setup
Flammability - A Curse that lowers the Fire Resistance of an enemy.
Focused Curse - Linked Curse has reduced delay, making it easier to apply.
Persistence - Flammability lasts longer. |
[UTILITY] Flammability setup
Pain Offering - Sacrifice your Skeletons to create a minon-buff which grants your other Minions more damage and Attack Speed.
Danse Macabre - Allows you to sacrifice two Skeletons instead of one. It can be tricky to keep both Offerings alive, so you may not want to use it.
Ablation - 30% increased Effect of Offerings, but casting it causes you to sacrifice 15% of your Maximum Life, so use it only if that's not a problem. |
|
You will need some extra Spirit to accommodate additional Minions and Extra Gem Levels to your Minions. This will increase your damage. For the regular defence seek Energy Shield and first, and after you get enough Strength, get ES and Armour. After that, you will need some additional Mana Regeneration, Life Regeneration, and Life Recoup.
Stat priorities on items:
|

|

|
(Off-hand) Carrion Call - Increases Minions's Maximum Lifem fixes their Resistances, increases your Mana Regeneration Rate, and grants a bit of ES. A regular Shield with Maximum Life is fine too.
+(30–40) to maximum Energy Shield Minions have (20–30)% increased maximum Life (20–30)% increased Mana Regeneration Rate Minions' Resistances are equal to yours |
