Peacemaker Gunslinger PvE Raiding Build Lost Ark

Peacemaker Gunslinger PvE Raiding Build Lost Ark

Complete Guide for Peacemaker Gunslinger - one of the best Ranged DPS setups for raiding

Peacemaker Gunslinger
PvE Raiding Build
for Lost Ark

Last Update: 22nd March 2022

Introduction

Gunslinger is a versatile and very mobile ranged DPS Class that utilizes a total of three ranged weapons: a pistol, a shotgun, and a rifle. There are two main Gunslinger PvE Raiding Builds, both based on one of Her Class Engravings: Time to HuntTime to Hunt and PeacemakerPeacemaker. The featured build is based on the latter.

Unlike the Time to HuntTime to Hunt variant, the following Gunslinger Build makes use of all three of the Gunslinger's weapons, thanks to buffs given to them by the PeacemakerPeacemaker Engraving. It incorporates Rifle and Shotgun skills into the rotation, which makes positioning play a big part in its gameplay - Shotguns require you to be relatively close, while Rifles are best used from long range. While this makes the PeacemakerPeacemaker Gunslinger quite tricky to play, it also results in very high damage potential (higher than the alternative build based on Time to HuntTime to Hunt). To make things a bit easier, the In a Tight SpotIn a Tight Spot Tripod is used to remove positional requirements from Shotguns, making them deal damage much more reliably (they no more require Back Attack). Also, because of the nature of used Skills, the featured build is one of the relatively few that focus on Crit Stat.

Stat Priority

Crit Rate is, by far, the most valuable stat for a PeacemakerPeacemaker Gunslinger. The exact percentage you should go for will (as always) depend on your gear, encounter knowledge, chosen engravings, and preference. The other two important stats for the Class are Swiftness and Specialization.
  • You should allocate at least ~65% of your total stat points into Crit Rate to bump up your combat capabilities. If you're using the Keen Blunt Weapon Engraving, your total Crit Rate should oscillate around ~75% (or even more if you feel daring).
  • The remaining points should be spent on Swiftness and/or Specialization. If you feel like you need some extra mobility, you should focus on Swiftness more. If you don't need the mobility, allocate most of the remaining points in Specialization to further increase your offensive power.

Skills

RIFLE
Target Down
TARGET DOWN

Gunslinger enters a snipe stance with 3 bullets. Each of the bullets can be carefully aimed and shot to deal high amounts of damage. The duration of the snipe stance lasts up to 2.5 seconds.

This is one of your three Rifle DPS Skills that should be used when you're relatively far from your target.

  • Stagger: Mid
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 12

  1. [Level I] Quick Aim Quick Aim - Increases aim speed. With this, Target DownTarget Down is much quicker to use.
  2. [Level II] Large Magazine Large Magazine  - Shots fired +4. Last shot's outgoing Damage +150.0% (at Rank 5). With this Tripod, Target DownTarget Down lets you fire a barrage of carefully aimed devastating shots.
  3. [Level III] Steady Aim Steady Aim - On a direct hit, outgoing Damage +80.0%. This provides a nice damage increase to the skill.
  4. [RUNE] GalewindGalewind - Increase the skill's casting speed. With this, the Skill's animation becomes much faster, making it even better at dealing damage.
FOCUSED SHOT
FOCUSED SHOT

Gunslinger fires her rifle two times to inflict moderate amounts of damage each shot. Then, she fires a high-caliber bullet to deal high amounts of damage and knock down enemies.

Just like other Rifle Skills, FOCUSED SHOTFocused Shot has a considerable range and can be used from a relatively safe distance. Moreover, it has a rather large AoE that can be helpful when fighting against trash mobs.

  • Weak Point: Level 1
  • Stagger: Mid
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 12

  1. [Level I] Quick Aim Quick Aim - Decreases aiming time, making Focused Shot much more dynamic. With this, the skill's animation lock becomes more forgiving.
  2. [Level II] Double Tap Double Tap  - Before the last shot, fire 1 special bullet inflicting 10% of Base Damage. The special bullet will only hit 1 foe and will not pierce them. During Kill Confirmation, on hit. Damage +110.0% (at Rank 5).
  3. [Level III] Final Strike Final Strike - The charge-up time for Kill Confirmation increases for the final blow. AoE Radius +280% (at Rank 5). Foes directly hit take +200.0% Damage. Foes hit on the side will receive the same Damage as the Kill Confirmation. With Weak Point and Flash, the Stun Effect only applies to direct hits.
  4. [RUNE] GalewindGalewind - Increase the skill's casting speed. With this, the Skill's animation becomes much faster, making it even better at dealing damage.
PERFECT SHOT
PERFECT SHOT

Gunslinger fires a high-speed large-caliber projectile to inflict moderate amounts of damage. She can hit the Perfect Zone to also knock enemies back and deal an additional devastating blow.

As far as Rifle Skills go, Perfect Shot is nothing to write home about but it still gets the job done just fine, especially against wounded enemies. You will be using it mainly when your other offensive skills are on cooldown.

  • Weak Point: Level 1
  • Stagger: Low

Level 12

  1. [Level I] Stable Stance Stable Stance - During skill use, gain Paralysis Immunity. This makes PERFECT SHOTPerfect Shot much more reliable.
  2. [Level II] Kill Confirmation Kill Confirmation - On Perfect Zone hit, inflicts +960.0% Damage (at Rank 5) to foes with 50.0% HP or less. This turns Perfect Shot into an Execute-type Skill.
  3. [Level III] Enhanced Shot Enhanced Shot -  On Perfect Zone hit. Damage inflicted +80.0% (at Rank 5).
  4. [RUNE] any
CATASTROPHE
CATASTROPHE

Gunslinger throws a Claymore at the target location and detonates it, dealing high amounts of damage and launching all affected enemies into the air.

We don't invest much into this skill and only keep it around for Stagger Checks. It should not be a part of your "standard" rotation - use it only when encounter mechanics require you to.

  • Weak Point: Level 1
  • Stagger: Mid
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 1

  1. [RUNE] any
SHOTGUN
DUAL BUCKSHOT
DUAL BUCKSHOT

  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 12

  1. [Level I] In a Tight Spot In a Tight Spot - Removes the "Back Attack" modifier from the skill. Moreover, it increases the skill's Outgoing Damage by 28% (at Rank 5) and Critical Rate by 10%. With this, DUAL BUCKSHOTDual Buckshot becomes much more reliable.
  2. [Level II] Enhanced Fire Enhanced Fire  - Increases the skill's Damage by 60% (at Rank 5).
  3. [Level III] Final Strike Final Strike - The last attack in the sequence will now fire 3 consecutive shots. The last attack's Damage is increased by 290% (at Rank 5). The last attack now also causes a knockback.

SHOTGUN RAPID FIRE

Gunslinger fires her shotgun three times, inflicting three damaging hits on her enemies.

This relatively simple close-range Skill allows you to unleash a hailstorm of buckshot on your opponents. Thanks to the In a Tight SpotIn a Tight Spot Tripod, it no longer requires Back Attack, which makes it much easier to use.

  • Weak Point: Level 1
  • Stagger: Mid
  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 11

  1. [Level I] In a Tight Spot In a Tight Spot - Removes the "Back Attack" modifier from the skill. Moreover, it increases the skill's Outgoing Damage by 28% (at Rank 5) and Critical Rate by 10%.

  3. [Level III] Special Bullet Special Bullet - Increases Damage dealt to Push-Immune enemies by 120% (at Rank 5). This Tripod makes SHOTGUN RAPID FIREShotgun Rapid Fire deal much more Damage to Bosses (as they all are push-immune).
  4. [RUNE] GalewindGalewind -  Increase the skill's casting speed. With this, the Skill's animation becomes much faster, making it even better at dealing damage.
SHARPSHOOTER
SHARPSHOOTER

Gunslinger fires the shotguns in each of her hands forward seven times to inflict high amounts of damage. SHARPSHOOTERSharpshooter can be canceled by switching stances.

This is a powerful but lengthy offensive skill. Luckily, it can be canceled early with ease. Also, just like the two previously described Shotgun Skills, it has the  In a Tight Spot In a Tight Spot that removes the Back Attack modifier.

  • Stagger: Mid
  • Attack Type: Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Level 12

  1. [Level I] Special Bullet Special Bullet - Increases Damage dealt to push-immune enemies by 60% (at Rank 5). This effectively equals more damage dealt to Bosses.

  3. [Level III] Guardian's Breath Guardian's Breath - Element is now [Fire]. On hit, Burns foe, inflicting 21 Damage every 1s for 5s. At 7 stacks, inflicts 102.0% (at Rank 5) of the Base Damage as additional Fire Damage. This increases the skill's damage and adds a nice Damage over Time component to it.
  4. [RUNE] GalewindGalewind -  Increase the skill's casting speed. With this, the Skill's animation becomes much faster, making it even better at dealing damage.
LAST REQUEST
LAST REQUEST

Gunslinger fires a powerful explosive bullet, dealing high amounts of damage and launching enemies into the air.

This skill deals a lot of Stagger Damage and can be used as a Counter, thus it should be saved for Stagger Checks and performing Counter attacks. It's not a part of your standard DPS rotation.

  • Weak Point: Level 1
  • Stagger: Mid-High
  • Attack Type: Frontal Attack, Back Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity
  • Counter: Yes

Level 7

  1. [Level I] Quick Preparation Quick Preparation - At Rank 5, this Tripod reduces LAST REQUESTLast Request's Cooldown by 13 seconds (7 seconds at Rank 1). With it, you'll pretty much always have it ready to use when it's needed.
  2. [Level II] Execution Execution  - Attack Speed +20%. While preparing to fire, move 4 meters forward. Fires a special round. Outgoing Damage to staggered foes +50.0% (at Rank 1). This solidifies LAST REQUESTLast Request's role as a Stagger Skill.

  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

SPIRAL TRACKER
SPIRAL TRACKER

Gunslinger throws a spinning handgun at the target location within 10 meters from her, dealing moderate damage over 15 hits.

  2. [RUNE] RageRage - Gives you a chance to gain an Attack Speed/Move Speed buff for 6 seconds after Death Claw is used. This Rune will help you increase the speed of your Demonic Form Skills rotation.
EQUILIBRIUM
EQUILIBRIUM

Gunslinger fires her handgun across a broad area, dealing moderate amounts of damage to all enemies who find themselves in range.

Equilibrium is your most convenient source of the Weakness Exposure Weakness Exposure debuff (when applied with it, the debuff lasts for 12 seconds), but it has a relatively long Cooldown.

  • Attack Type: Back Attack

Level 4

  1. [Level I] Weakness Exposure Weakness Exposure - Enemies hit with EQUILIBRIUMEquilibrium receive a 10% Crit Resistance penalty against attacks from all Party Members for 12 seconds. This is a solid party-wide synergy.

The direction of this skill can be changed upon hitting the Combo key. Moreover, the first hit of this skill allows Gunslinger to perform a Counter Attack.

The first hit of this skill is one of your two available Counter Attacks. Moreover, thanks to the selected tripod, it also doubles as a mobility skill.

  • Attack Type: Frontal Attack
  • Super Armor: Paralysis Immunity

Skill Usage/Priority List

  • EquilibriumEquilibrium, Dexterous ShotDexterous Shot, and Spiral TrackerSpiral Tracker are your team synergy skills. You should use them to maintain the Weakness ExposureWeakness Exposure debuff on the boss. Your aim is to keep this active at all times.
  • Dexterous ShotDexterous Shot and Spiral TrackerSpiral Tracker are your sources of ConvictionConviction and JudgementJudgement.
  • If you need extra mobility, you should swap to your Pistol as Somersault ShotSomersault Shot, Quick StepQuick Step, Dexterous ShotDexterous Shot, and PeacekeeperPeacekeeper can all be used for dashing around.
  • Quick StepQuick Step also gives you a nice offensive buff.
  • Last RequestLast Request and PeacekeeperPeacekeeper (1st hit) are your Counter Skills. Use them to Counter Attack the enemies.
  • Last RequestLast Request and CatastropheCatastrophe are your main tools for dealing with stagger mechanics.

While in combat, you should follow the below-described Priority List by prioritizing actions that are closer to the top of the list.

  • The Priority List of a PeacemakerPeacemaker Gunslinger looks more or less like this:
  1. Use Pistol Stance whenever you need extra mobility to dodge attacks/follow encounter mechanics. Somersault ShotSomersault Shot, Quick StepQuick Step, Dexterous ShotDexterous Shot, and PeacekeeperPeacekeeper are your mobility tools.
  2. If the ConvictionConviction Rune from Spiral TrackerSpiral Tracker activates, try to trigger JudgementJudgement by using the Dexterous ShotDexterous Shot as your main source of the Weakness ExposureWeakness Exposure for 15% cooldown reduction and 100% increased mana regen. This can only activate once every 30 seconds and won't always work.
  3. Maintain the Weakness ExposureWeakness Exposure on the target by hitting it with either EquilibriumEquilibrium, Dexterous ShotDexterous Shot, or Spiral TrackerSpiral Tracker. Prioritize Spiral TrackerSpiral Tracker if the Runes from 2. are not on Cooldown, otherwise use EquilibriumEquilibrium for a longer debuff uptime.
  4. Use Quick StepQuick Step to gain the Life Absorption Life Absorption buff and improve your mobility as well as Attack Speed.
  5. Use Target Down Target Down
  6. Use Focused Shot Focused Shot
  7. Use Dual Buckshot Dual Buckshot
  8. Use Sharpshooter Sharpshooter
  9. Use Shotgun Rapid FireShotgun Rapid Fire
  10. Use Perfect Shot Perfect Shot

Recommended Engravings

  1. PeacemakerPeacemaker (Class Engraving) - Attack Speed in Handgun Stance (Level 1: +8%, Level 2: +12%, Level 3: +16%). Crit Rate in Shotgun Stance (Level 1: +15%, Level 2: +20%, Level 3: + 25%). Damage to foes +10% and additional Damage (Level 1: +10%, Level 2: +20%, Level 3: +30%) to targets with 50% or lower HP for 9s while in Rifle Stance.

This is the core Engraving for the build. At Level 1, it provides a considerable boost to all your skills (Shotgun and Rifle Skills benefit the most). Because of the diminishing returns from Levels 2 and 3, you only need this at Level 1 - focus on bumping other recommended Engravings to Level 3 instead.

  1. GrudgeGrudge - Increases your Damage Dealt to Bosses (Level 1: +4%, Level 2: +10%, Level 3: +20%), but makes you take 20% more damage from them.

This Engraving is extremely powerful, but it will punish you if you make a mistake. If you can live with the downside, it will serve you as an unconditional damage increase. Pick it up only if you feel like you can avoid most (or all) avoidable damage during boss encounters. If you're still learning mechanics, you'll be better off skipping it (it's only worth using at Level 3 and becomes necessary for Tier 3 content, anyway).

  1. Hit MasterHit Master - Increases the damage of attacks that do not correspond to back attack or front attack by (Level 1: 3%, Level 2: 8%, Level 3: 16%). This effect does not apply to Awakenings.

Most of the Skills you will be using as a Peacemaker Gunslinger won't require you to strike from the back or from the front. Because of this, Hit MasterHit Master is very strong for the build. It effectively gives you the same effect as Cursed DollCursed Doll, but without the drawback.

  1. AdrenalineAdrenaline - When using skills other than mobile and basic attacks, attack power increases by (Lv. 1: 0.3%, Lv. 2: 0.6%, Lv. 3: 1%) for 6 seconds (stacks up to 6), and when this effect reaches its maximum stack, critical hit rate increases by an additional (Lv. 1: 5%, Lv. 2: 10%, Lv. 3: 15%). This effect is applied after the skill ends if the cooldown time reduction due to skill cancellation is applied.

Thanks to the sheer number of skills you rotate through with this build, AdrenalineAdrenaline is a perfect choice - you should be able to stack it up with ease.

  1. Keen Blunt Weapon Keen Blunt Weapon - Increases your Crit Damage (Level 1: +10%, Level 2: +25%, Level 3: +50%) but also gives your attacks a chance to deal 20% Reduced Damage.

The more Critical Chance you have, the more beneficial this is. If you plan on using it, you should aim for (at least) ~75% Critical Rate.

  1. Cursed DollCursed Doll - Increases Attack Power at the cost of reduced 25% Healing Received (does not affect natural Health recovery (Level 1 - +3% Attack Power, Level 2 - 8% Attack Power, Level 3 - +16% Attack Power).

This Engraving can boost your offensive power rather significantly, but the tradeoff is painful. Only pick it if you know encounter mechanics very well; If you lack experience, skip it. Also, using this at Levels 1 and 2 is not worth the risks involved (so, use it at Level 3 or don't use it at all).

  1. Raid CaptainRaid Captain + Spirit AbsorptionSpirit Absorption:
    • Raid CaptainRaid Captain - Increases Damage Dealt by a percentage (Level 1: +10%, Level 2: +22%, Level 3: +45%) of basic Move Speed Bonus.
    • Spirit AbsorptionSpirit Absorption - Increases Attack Power and Movement Speed by (Level 1 - 3%, Level 2 - 8%, Level 3 - 15%).

Raid CaptainRaid Captain paired with Level 3 Spirit AbsorptionSpirit Absorption and a total Movement Speed of 140% will give you ~+18% increased damage.

Note: This is a budget option that should only be considered for alts. If you're looking to optimize your damage via Engravings, these two are definitely not worth going for.

Gear Sets, Gems, Cards, etc.

  • Gear Sets - As a DPS Class, Peacemaker Gunslinger wants her set to boost her offensive capabilities as much as possible. Here are the optimal Sets for each Tier:
    • Tier 1: Seraphic Oath Set (Epic); Boisterous Elemental Set (Legendary)
    • Tier 2: Marvelous Earth Set (Epic); Unyielding Will Set (Legendary)
    • Tier 3: Twisted Dimensional Set (Epic); Preordained Diligence Set (Legendary)
  • Gems -  With these, you can apply a Cooldown Reduction or Bonus Damage to your Skills. There is a limit of 11 Gems; you should distribute them in the following way:
    • You should use Cooldown Reduction Gems on the following Skills: Target DownTarget Down, Focused ShotFocused Shot, Shotgun Rapid FireShotgun Rapid Fire, SharpshooterSharpshooter, Dual Buckshot Dual Buckshot
    • You should use Attack Gems on the following Skills: Perfect ShotPerfect Shot, Target DownTarget Down, Focused ShotFocused Shot, Shotgun Rapid FireShotgun Rapid Fire, SharpshooterSharpshooter, Dual Buckshot Dual Buckshot
  • Cards - Depending on your budget, you should go for one of the following Card Sets:
    • Light of Salvation Set - A Full set offers +30% Dark Damage Reduction, changes your Damage type to Holy, and increases your Holy Damage dealt by 15%.
    • Lostwind Cliff Set - A Full set offers +25% Dark Damage Reduction and +7% Critical Rate. This one is the budget Card Set choice.
