Build Overview
Tanking is a dirty job that requires a lot of practice and dedication. Responsibility for the well-being of teammates often scares Players from a Tank role, making finding a good Tank rather difficult. You can overcome this problem by becoming a Tank yourself. This build might be the first step on your way to becoming the heart and the shield of any PvE group.
This Tank Build focuses on increasing your Toughness and Survivability so that you can withstand even the heaviest incoming Damage. Threat Generation is the second, but evenly important aspect that was covered. Selected Skills and abilities will let you keep multiple mobs aggroed without too much of a problem, and if any breaks off, you have access tools that will let you deal with it efficiently. It's presumably one of the best Tank builds for Group PvE content.

Weapon: Hammer provides you with access to a range of powerful Threat managing abilities and gives you access to an emergency AoE CC. |

- Threatening Strike - Deals Damage and increases generated Threat. The backbone of any Tank Build.
|
 |
- Heavy Cleave - Heavy attack that deals AoE Damage and helps you keep multiple mobs aggroed on you. Use it after Threatening Strike for maximum AoE Threat Generation.

- Earth Shatter - AoE attack that also Stuns Enemies. Great for emergencies, and for AoE Threat Generation when combined with the Threatening Strike.

- Passive: Energetic - This passive increases your sustainability.

Helmet: Soldier Helmet provides you with a nice defensive passive and a solid invulnerability Cooldown. |

- Block - Makes you immune to all CC effects and Damage for 2 s. You can not attack or cast spells when this is active, so be careful when using it.

- Passive: Toughness - Reduces incoming Damage.

Armor: Guardian Armor gives you access to additional Taunt, which is very handy, and to two solid Tank passives. |
 |
- Taunt - Taunts an enemy, and increases a chance that nearby enemies will attack you. The Taunt also reduces enemy's Damage dealt, so it can be used to negate some of the incoming Damage.

- Passive: Toughness - Reduces incoming Damage.

- Passive: Protective Instinct - Increases Threat Generation.

Boots: Royal Boots help with mobility and give you some self-healing that further increases your survivability |

- Rejuvenating Sprint - Increases your movement speed and applies a Heal over Time effect on you. Handy for rapid relocation, chasing stray enemies, and increasing survivability

- Passive: Toughness - Reduces incoming Damage.

Food: Beef Sandwich - increases your maximum Health. This is optional and can be changed for the food of your liking. |

Potion: Major Gigantify Potion - increases your maximum load by 2100%, and more importantly, your maximum Health by 108% for 8 seconds. This serves as an emergency defensive Cooldown that will let you sustain heavy incoming damage for some time, and make you even harder to kill. |
