The Glacial Cascade is a powerful Melee Attack that greatly interacts with Freeze Ailment. By default, it releases a wave of Cold explosions that ends up with a final, larger explosion. Any Frozen enemy caught in its range will be Hit for additional time. It is especially powerful against Bosses, as they will often suffer from all the explosions at the same time. The Glacial Cascade can inflict Freeze on its own, but dedicated Skills can do it significantly faster, allowing you to focus more on Damaging Support Gems instead.

The Wave of Frost is an ideal Skill to Freeze enemies, as it covers a large area and contributes 350% More Freeze. You could also create the Frozen Locus instead, which is better for covering large packs of monsters in ice but is less effective against Bosses, although you will have many other tools in your arsenal to overcome that problem. The Tempest Bell creates a large object that can be Hit by your other abilities to release Damaging Shockwaves that also inflict Ailments. The Freezing Mark is also a very useful Skill that makes your Enemies easier to Freeze.

The Invoker Ascendency is the ultimate master of all Elemental Attacks. Thanks to this Ascendency you can activate the Unbound Avatar to temporarily raise all your Damage and effects of Ailments. Thanks to the Elemental Expression all your Melee Critical Strike will release additional Damaging Effects, which also helps you to activate the Avatar faster.

It is currently a Build prediction for the upcoming Path of Exile 2. We will be working hard to update it with the verified and tested pieces of information as soon as possible!

1. Gameplay

Freeze Enemies with Wave of Frost or Frozen Locus and target the Glacial Cascade's final explosion on the Frozen enemy. Mark your opponents with Freezing Mark and summon Tempest Bell to entomb Bosses in Ice, preventing them from dealing Damage while also taking increased Damage from you.

2. Gems and Skills used

 Main Skills
Glacial Cascade - releases a thin wave of frost which deals Damage in a series of small bursts. The final burst of the wave then surges out further with a large spike of ice. Any Frozen enemies hit by the final burst also take another, more powerful Hit.
Wave of Frost - flip backward while sending a freezing wave of ice to damage an area in front of you.
 Utility Skills
Freezing Mark - Marks a target, making them more susceptible to being Frozen. When the Marked target dies, a Cold Nova erupts from their Xorpse.
Frozen Locus - call forth an Ice Crystal, which creates Chilled Ground around it and can be damaged by you and enemies. If the Crystal is destroyed it triggers an icy explosion that deals Attack damage.
Tempest Bell - create a Bell that can be Hit by your skills, creating a damaging shockwave. Elemental Ailments applied to the Bell cause its shockwaves to deal extra damage of the corresponding type.

3. Gear Setup

You will want to use Weapons that allow you to Freeze enemies more often, which includes modifiers like Cold Damage, Attack Speed, or Critical Strikes. For defense, you should focus mainly on maximum Life and capping Elemental Resistance. For further mitigation, you should get a bit of Armour and Evasion Rating.
