Warden Class

Build Overview

Stamina Warden is one of the best DPS setups currently. It offers high single-target damage, great sustain, and unparalleled AoE clearing potential. This is also quite a niched class, making it a very interesting pick. Wardens provide enjoyable playstyle, with easy resource management thanks to several available class abilities, allowing for very smooth gameplay. It ranks #5 on our DPS Tier list.

Below you will find all the recommended gear and Sets, but no Trial items were included. This guide should be treated as a starting point to build your character and when you reach higher levels you should have a very solid base for experimenting and adjusting the build to your personal taste.

 Pros  Cons
High single-target DPS  Highly reliant on the Bear pet for maximum DPS
Terrific AoE damage  Not suited for Veteran Cloudrest and Asylum Sanctorium
Easy resource management  Wild Guardian is a Minion spell which requires it to be slotted on both skill bars
 Self-healing
 Enjoyable playstyle

Attributes Priority

  1. Stamina - your primary attribute when playing a Stamina Warden. Stamina is basically Mana for physical/melee abilities that are the core of this build. Spend the majority of your points here, somewhere between 70-90%. The higher the better, up to the point where you are not dying during fights because of low Health pool
  1. Health - Increases your maximum Health. You should assign some of your points here in order to level up smoothly and help you stay alive during fights. Usually, you should have about 10-30% of your total points spent on Health
  1. Magicka - do not spend any points on Magicka unless you plan to rely on self-buffs and supporting spells or reach some other specific goals

Primary Skillset
[Dual Wield - your Primary DPS, both ST/AoE]

Rending Slashes Rending Slashes (Weapon: Dual Wield, morphed from Twin Slashes) - a powerful single-target DPS skill which adds a decent DoT effect on the enemy. The DoT can be applied to any number of enemies, while the extra slow has high situational usability
Steel Tornado Steel Tornado (Weapon: Dual Wield, morphed from Whirlwind) - one of the best AoE skill from the Dual Wield tree. Perfect for clearing packs and Boss fights with three and more adds
Cutting Dive Cutting Dive (Warden: Animal Companions, morphed from Dive) - a solid single-target skill which can be also used from a distance giving it a little bit more flexibility
Subterranean Assault Subterranean Assault (Warden: Animal Companions, morphed from Scorch) - one of the core DPS skills in this build. It will deal massive burst damage in front of you and debuff enemies reducing their Physical Resistance
Deadly Cloak Deadly Cloak (Weapon: Dual Wield, morphed from Blade Cloak) - deals Physical Damage to all enemies around you for a short duration. It also reduces the damage you take from AoE making it a perfect skill for various end-game encounters
Wild Guardian Ultimate: Wild Guardian (Warden: Animal Companions, morphed from Feral Guardian) - the best Ultimate ability in terms of single-target damage. Wild Guardian deals 100% increased damage to enemies below 25% Health, so if you time it right it will truly shine. You can order the Bear to attack your target by using a Heavy Attack on it

Secondary Skillset
[Bow - supporting damage and buffs]

Elemental Blockade Poison Injection (Weapon: Bow, morphed from Poison Arrow) - truly amazing DoT damage and a great pick to execute enemies below 50% Health
Endless Hail Endless Hail (Weapon: Bow, morphed from Volley) - great DoT which deals damage every 0.5 seconds for 10 seconds in an area
Harness Magicka Razor Caltrops (Alliance War: Assault, morphed from Caltrops) - a very nice single-target and AoE DPS with a decent AoE slow.
Haunting Curse Rearming Trap (Guild: Fighters Guild, morphed from Trap Beast) - Rearming Trap provides a great crowd-control utility thanks to the immobilize effect. It is also a very decent single-target DPS skill
Bull Netch Bull Netch (Warden: Animal Companions, morphed from Betty Netch) - amazing utility skill which helps you with resource management by recovering a great deal of Stamina
Wild Guardian Ultimate: Wild Guardian (Warden: Animal Companions, morphed from Feral Guardian) - since Wild Guardian is a Minion spell, you have to keep it active on both of your skill bars
