Introduction
Sharpshooter is a dynamic and very mobile ranged Character able to deal devastating critical blows with a bow and can hold its own in a melee with some of his skills. Once his Hawk Meter is full, he can also unleash a fierce Silverhawk on his foes. When it comes to defenses, he's forced to rely on his mobility as his physical resilience is rather lacking. Contrary to what you might deduce from the above statement, the class is actually quite easy to play, as it does not require high APM - just keep in mind that with a Sharpshooter skill is rewarded and mistakes are almost always punished.
Unlike most other classes, Sharpshooter's Class Engravings (Loyal Companion and Death Strike) pair well with each other. Because of this, we made use of both of them in the featured build. Both of these Engravings revolve around building up your Hawk Meter and make you perform much better once you summon your Silverhawk, so we've optimized the build for fast Identity Meter gains. We also went for high Crit as the stat complements Sharpshooter's skill set very well. The main downsides of this build (and the Sharpshooter in general) are the rather weak Stagger Damage and bad performance during Destruction Checks.

Stat Priority
Sharpshooter's Skills benefit a lot from additional Crit Rate, so Crit is going to be your main stat, no matter what. Your secondary stats should depend on your chosen Class Engravings:
|
Skills
CHARGED SHOT |
Sharpshooter Charges a shot to inflict a different amount of Damage depending on the charge stage: low amounts of damage before fully charged, moderate amounts at Stage 1, and high amounts of Damage when overcharged. Enemies will be knocked away at 1 or higher charge stage. This becomes very powerful and quick to use with the Fast Fire Tripod (as this disconnects Skill's Damage from the charge level). It will serve as your main source of Stagger Damage.

SHARP SHOOTER |
Sharpshooter holds his bow sideways and concentrates energy on the handle, shooting 10 arrows at once. Each Arrow inflicts moderate amounts of damage, up to 3 arrows can hit the same enemy. With the proposed build, this skill has a very high Crit chance and can deal increased damage to a single enemy. Moreover, it deals some Stagger Damage, which is Important as the build needs it a lot.

SNIPE |
Sharpshooter carefully aims at his enemies (by holding down the skill Hotkey). Then, he fires a single powerful arrow that inflicts moderate amounts of damage. If the Perfect Zone is hit, the damage done by this skill is increased approximately 4 times. This is your most powerful offensive skill, but it requires you to hit the Perfect Zone. If you miss it, you'll lose ~75% of its potential damage so aim carefully. It also deals some nice Stagger Damage.

|
ARROW WAVE |
Sharpshooter sends a tornado arrow flying at the target. The arrow periodically deals damage to all enemies in its range. The Tornado Arrow can hit the same enemy up to 4 times. This is a powerful skill that deals a lot of damage with an increased critical chance. It will serve as one of your main attacks. |
Level 12
|
|
ATOMIC ARROW |
Sharpshooter aims his bow and shoots an explosive arrow that inflicts low amounts of damage on hit and explodes after 2 seconds, knocking enemies down and dealing high amounts of blast damage. This is your team synergy skill as it will apply the Amplified Damage debuff on every enemy damaged by its blast. Its short cooldown should allow you to keep the debuff active almost all the time.

Level 11
|
|
BLADE STORM |
Sharpshooter quickly spins around and throws blades that inflict 6 hits on enemies. Then, he throws another round of blades that inflict damage three more times. This is a melee attack, so it will complicate your rotation a bit as you'll have to enter melee range (preferably behind the boss). It's a mush-have, however, as it increases your Hawk Meter gains by a lot.
|
Level 10
|
|
DEADLY SLASH |
Sharpshooter quickly strikes with his dagger, dealing moderate amounts of damage. This is your Counter Attack that also serves as a handy Hawk Meter generator. You'll have to go into the melee range to use it.
|
Level 10
|
|
MOVING SLASH |
Sharpshooter moves 8 meters forward, dealing moderate amounts of damage. This is your mobility skill and a repositioning tool, but not only that. With the Silver Master Tripod, Moving Slash also helps you accumulate your Hawk Meter much faster.

Level 7
|

AWAKENING | |
GOLDEN EYE |
Sharpshooter summons 4 Golden Hawks that fly around and create a devastating whirlwind that gradually grows stronger, inflicting high amounts of Damage as it launches enemies in the air. Sharpshooter becomes Stealthed for 7 seconds with the creation of the whirlwind. Stealth is not canceled by receiving Damage and lets him move past enemies (it removes model collision, basically). This is a powerful skill that activates much faster than the alternative (Fenrir's Messenger) and guarantees solid Damage.

Skill Usage/Rotation
Your Skill Rotation looks as follows:
|
Recommended Engravings
This makes you move faster and makes your target more susceptible to damage from all sources while the Silverhawk is at your side. Moreover, it works extremely well with Last Lush, as it also increases your Identity Gauge recovery rate. You should have this at Level 3 eventually (if you went for Death Strike first, focus on other Engravings and get this one as your 4th or 5th one - at Tier 3). |
This has the potential to recover half of your Identity Gauge (keep in mind that it recovers half of the remaining Hawk Meter, so the more you have, the less you'll get from this). It also gives you a nice burst window whenever you use Last Rush. You should have this at Level 3 eventually (if you went for Loyal Companion first, focus on other Engravings and get this one as your 4th or 5th one - at Tier 3). |
Most of the Skills you will be using won't require you to strike from the back or from the front. Because of this, Hit Master is very strong for the build. It effectively gives you the same effect as Cursed Doll, but without the drawback. |
The more Critical Chance you have, the more beneficial this is. As a Sharpshooter, you get a lot of high Crit Rate skills, which makes this Engraving a solid option. |
Grudge is one of the most powerful offensive Engravings, but it comes with a severe drawback that may get you killed. If you can live with the downside, it will serve you as an unconditional damage increase. Pick it up if you feel like you can avoid most (or all) avoidable damage during boss encounters. If you're still learning mechanics, you'll be better off skipping it. Note: Remember that it's only worth using at Level 3, so never use it at level 2 and especially 1 (unless you want to take 5% more damage for every 1% increase in your own DPS). |
While it is mostly used in a combination with Spirit Absorption on budget builds and alts, this Engraving is actually very strong for a Sharpshooter. Raid Captain strongly synergizes with Loyal Companion, so Spirit Absorption is not required to make it work. Take this only if you run Loyal Companion with high Swiftness. |
This Engraving is very powerful and very dangerous to its user, just like Grudge. Only pick it if you know encounter mechanics very well. If you lack experience, skip it. Also, this is a BiS Engraving for Tier 3 content. |
