The Comet Spell summons a large chunk of ice that falls onto your Enemies, dealing a high amount of Cold Damage and Freezing Enemies caught in its radius. Like most Cold Spells in Path of Exile 2, it has a high base Critical Strike Chance of 13%. It possesses a devastating offensive power, but it is not the best Spell when it comes to large groups of weaker Enemies. For this reason, you should utilize other Cold-themed Spells, like the Freezing Shards or Frostbolts, which both work very similarly by creating several Cold Projectiles that Damage your Enemies on Hit, or the Frost Bomb which plants an icy crystal on the ground that deals Damage in a large area when it explodes after a short delay. It also applies a cold Exposure Debuff on Enemies, lowering their Cold Resistance.
The Spirit Skills are also very proficient here. The Arctic Armour causes a Cold explosion whenever you are Hit by a Melee Attack, which greatly bolsters your defense and punishes your Enemies. You can also use Cast on Freeze or Elemental Invocation to trigger free Spells when you inflict Freeze with your Cold Spells.
The Blood Mage is a very versatile and powerful Ascendency. Firstly, it causes your Spells to Leech Life, which is very important during longer Boss encounters. Your Enemies will sometimes drop Life Remnants on death, which can temporarily raise your maximum Life to double the original value, which synergizes with the Gore Spike that grants you an extra Critical Strike Bonus depending on your maximum Life.
It is currently a Build prediction for the upcoming Path of Exile 2. We will be working hard to update it with the verified and tested pieces of information as soon as possible!

Comet deals massive Damage in a small area, but thanks to the initiate bonus to Freeze you will be able to trigger other various Spells via Meta Gems to help with the Area coverage. Against Bosses, you should first apply Cold Exposure to make them vulnerable to Cold Damage. Try to pick up any Life Remnants even at full Life, as they will Overcharge you and improve your Damage.

Main Skills |
Comet - Pull a massive icy chunk from the air, dealing high Damage at the targeted location. Targeting close up will cause you to float back as you cast. |
Frostbolt - Fires a slow-moving Piercing Projectile that leaves a wake of Chilled Ground, deals Cold damage and explodes on colliding with terrain. |
Utility Skills |
Frost Bomb - creates a Crystal that pulses with cold for a duration. Each pulse applies a Debuff to nearby Enemies which reduces Life and Energy Shield Regeneration Rate, and also inflicts Cold Exposure. When the crystal's Duration ends, it explodes, dealing heavy Cold Damage to Enemies around it. |
Arctic Armour - conjures an icy barrier that gains stages over time. While the barrier has stages, Melee Attacks that Hit you will remove a stage to cause a burst of ice that deals Cold Spell damage to the attacker. |
Cast on Freeze - while active, gains Energy when you Freeze enemies and triggers socketed Spells on reaching maximum Energy. |
Look for bonuses for Cold Spell Damage, Cast Speed, and Critical Strikes. A bit of Mana will also be useful to improve your sustain. The most important defense for the Blood Mage is high maximum Life, as you will quickly recover it via Leech, and it also boosts your Damage output. You will also need to cap your maximum Resistance. With the Crimson Power, your Body Armour's Energy Shield will also grant extra maximum Life, so it's only natural to stack this defense on your other pieces too.
