Cluster Grenade throws out a single Grande that explodes after a short delay, or is triggered by another Skill. This explosion deals a moderate amount of Damage in a large Area but also throws out more Grenades in a circle that causes another set of explosions. Thanks to the high density of Grenades the explosions overlap, dealing an insane amount of Damage to enemies caught in the area. This Skill features a very long base Cooldown of 10 seconds, so you will have to combine it with other Skills to play comfortably. All Grenades require a Crossbow and scale their Damage based on the Attack value.
As you will pick up a lot of Grenade-related Passives, it only makes sense to use another Granede Skill for clearing weaker packs of Enemies. The best pick for that will be the Explosive Grenade. It creates a single explosion that deals a high amount of Damage but has a Cooldown of only 3 seconds, as well as can store up to 3 Charges.
The Fuse Time of all your Grenades can be quite annoying, but fortunately, you will have another tool in your arsenal to deal with that. The Explosive Shot is a special Bolt for your Crossbow that can immediately trigger any Granede caught in its impact. It also knocks back Enemies, so you can use it defensively.
Currently, there is no better Ascendency for Granades than the Witchhunter. It offers a lot of Damage via Culling Strike and Decimating Strike but also allows you to break the Concentration of your Enemies, which causes them to Cast their abilities less often, and take more Damage from you. You can also get the extra 20 Weapon Set Skill Points, which will help you to specialize more in Crossbow Skills.

With this Build proper positioning and aiming will be very important. Your Grenades deal large amounts of Damage but are limited by Cooldowns, and their Damage is delayed by the Fuse Timer, so grouping up large packs of monsters will be vital for smooth clear.

Explosive Shot - loads your Crossbow with flaming bolts that explode on impact. The explosion will detonate any Grenades in its area of effect. |
Temporal Chains - Curses all enemies in an area, lowering their Action Speed and making other effects on them expire more slowly. |
Try to get a Crossbow with the highest amount of Damage possible, as it improves the Damage of your Grenades. Grenades convert a small portion of Physical Damage to Fire Damage, but any type of Damage will be useful initially. You will also want to get plenty of Critical Strike Chance and Multiplier. For defense focus on maximum Life and Resistance, but a bit of Armour or Evasion Rating will be useful too.
