General information

Items are a specific type of Cards in Artifact - the Dota TCG. Each player uses their own preselected Item Deck which consists of at least 9 Item Cards and unlike other types of Cards, Items do not have a specific color and can be used by any Hero in the game. Items can be purchased with Gold during the Shopping Phase at the end of each turn. There are three different types of Shops available in Artifact which are:

  1. Secret Shop - located on the left. Secret Shop can contain any item in the game except for Consumables. Items in Secret Shop are chosen randomly
  2. Your Item Deck - found in the center. Item Deck contains the items you have preselected before the game
  3. Consumable Shop - located on the right. It contains Consumable items which are exactly the same

Items can be purchased with Gold which is earned by killing enemy Creeps, Heroes, and via Spells and abilities. Each Hero can use three Items; one for each of the following slots: Weapon, Armor, Jewelry. In general, Weapons increase Hero's Attack Damage, Armors increase the Armor Rating and Jewelry increases Hero's Maximum Health but they can also grant additional bonuses. Consumable items can be used without limitation and do not require an empty slot.

Item Deck restrictions

  1. There have to be at least 9 Item Cards in your Item Deck
  2. You can't use more than 3 copies of the same Item in your Item Deck
