General information
Items are a specific type of Cards in Artifact - the Dota TCG. Each player uses their own preselected Item Deck which consists of at least 9 Item Cards and unlike other types of Cards, Items do not have a specific color and can be used by any Hero in the game. Items can be purchased with Gold during the Shopping Phase at the end of each turn. There are three different types of Shops available in Artifact which are:
Items can be purchased with Gold which is earned by killing enemy Creeps, Heroes, and via Spells and abilities. Each Hero can use three Items; one for each of the following slots: Weapon, Armor, Jewelry. In general, Weapons increase Hero's Attack Damage, Armors increase the Armor Rating and Jewelry increases Hero's Maximum Health but they can also grant additional bonuses. Consumable items can be used without limitation and do not require an empty slot.
