The Metamorph League made some changes to the Necromancer ascendancy, but the build is still insanely strong (probably the strongest in this meta). For anyone who is a bit new to the playstyle, I have inluded a small description (with a video) about them (check below).

If you want your summoned minions to clear maps with insane speed, and also kill the hardest bosses such as Shaper for you, while you just sit back and relax, this is the build for you! As for the Blight mechanic, you dont even need to use the towers for defense, the minions will do all the job for you! The Spectre variant of Necromancer is the most popular and the best choice for 3.8, and I will collect every single items for you to fully enjoy this build. In order to have 3 spectres summoned, you are going to require a Level 25 Raise Spectre gem. This is achieved thanks to the ascendancy (+2), the Tabula Rasa (+1), the Boots (+1) and the Wand (+1).

Starting Currency:

• 50x Chaos Orb
• 50x Orb of Alchemy

Items:

• Weapon: Rare Convoking Wand with +1 to all Minion Gems
• Shield: Victarios Charity
• Helmet: Rare Helmet with 70+ Life, +2 to Minion Gems and 40%+ Elemental Resistances
• Body Armour: Tabula Rasa with +1 to Level of Gems (this is needed in order to have +1 Spectres, also a huge damage boost)
• Gloves: Rare ES-Base Gloves with 70+ Life and 60%+ Elemental Resistances
• Boots: Bones of Ullr (+1 to Minion Gems)
• Ring: 2x Rare Rings with 60+ Life and 90%+ Elemental Resistances
• Amulet: Rare Amulet with 60+ Life, 40+ Dexterity and 50%+ Elemental Resistances
• Belt: Rare Leather Belt with 90+ Life and 80%+ Elemental Resistances

Description about Spectres:

• The Spectres you should utilize are called Slave Drivers.
• Head to Act V: Control Blocks.
• Cast Desecrate to spawn corpses, then cast Raise Spectre on a Slave Driver, until you have the maximum number of them (holding "A" makes this process easier).
• The level of the minion will be based on the level of your Raise Spectre gem (make sure to use the level 20 one).
• The build uses Elemental Equilibrium. Since Slave Drivers deal Lightning Damage, make sure to self-cast your Armageddon Brand to make enemies more vulnerable to Lightning Damage.
